When constructing mathematical models based on statistical data, the researcher faces the need to assess the homogeneity of the sample, in particular, the study of data on emissions. Availability in a sample of outliers negatively affects the modeling results and the adequacy of the model as a whole. In this work, an algorithm has been developed that allows one to quantitatively measure the effect of the influence of each observation on the quality of the constructed model. The description of this algorithm is given. Previously the author carried out similar studies for various regression models.

The analysis of national data on the number of deaths showed that in Poland from 2010 to 2016 it was possible to reduce the number of fatalities by about 22%. The tendency of changes in the number of fatalities, however, is not homogeneous. When data of individual voivodships is analyzed, the situation is different. The largest reduction in fatalities in the analyzed period of time concerned voivodship Świętokrzyskie, where there was more than 45% drop in the number of fatalities. The following voivodships: Łódzkie, Lubelskie and Podkarpackie recorded a decrease in over 30% of fatalities. Unfortunately, at the end of the classification there were four voivodships with a fall below 8%, and what is disturbing voivodship Lubuskie recorded a nearly 5% increase in the number of fatalities. The current traffic safety management at the level of voivodships is often the implementation of central recommendations, which, as results from the analysis of statistical data, are not equally effective in every province. Therefore, models for forecasting changes in road safety are required. Taking into account local characteristics and implemented actions can be used to manage security more effectively at the regional level. This paper presents examples of the use of mathematical models to predict the number of fatalities in individual voivodships depending on the adopted action scenarios. Regression models were developed, taking into account demographic, infrastructural, economic and automotive factors. It turned out that in individual voivodships, various factors affect the level of road safety on roads differently. Therefore, an individual approach to each voivodship is important in order to reliably forecast the level of security.

This research was based by a decrease in sales of motorcycle Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS within the first half in 2015-2016. The sales decline is one indication of a decrease in consumer purchasing decisions against the Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS products. This research aimed to examine the effect of the price and product quality, purchase decision sport motorcycle Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS. This research used purposive sampling method, using a sample of 100 people from the user population Kawasaki Pulsar 200 NS users in the city of Padang. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. The results of this research reported the following regression equation: Y = 0,389 + 0,240 X1 + 0,629 X2. Based on statistical data analysis, indicators in this research are valid and reliable. On the classical assumption test, regression models multicoloniarity free, does not occur heteroscedasticity, and the normal distribution. The biggest variable is the variable quality of the product which 0.629. whereas the smallest variable is the variable price which 0.240. Results of the research found that all independent variables are positive and has significant effect on the dependent variable.

The main objective of this study was to investigate the association between final-year students’ anxiety level and quality of life (QOL) with their academic achievements. A longitudinal study was performed in regular schools and in high-rated gymnasiums at the beginning and at the end of the school year. Multiple linear regression models were built for the association between level of anxiety/QOL with academic achievements. Type of school and gender—but not the level of anxiety—were the main predictors of academic achievements of 287 adolescents (e.g., for mathematics, the effect estimates were: β = −1.71 [95% confidence interval −2.21; −1.21]; β = −0.50 [−0.95; −0.06], β = 0.09 [−0.02; 0.20] for the type of school, gender, and changes in level of anxiety, respectively). To conclude, particular efforts should be made to reduce the level of anxiety in girls, especially those that study in high-rated schools.

Objective The study aimed to explore physician views on whether extremely early newborns will have an acceptable quality of life (QOL), and if these views are associated with physician resuscitation preferences. Study Design We performed a cross-sectional survey of neonatologists and maternal fetal medicine (MFM) attendings, fellows, and residents at four U.S. medical centers exploring physician views on future QOL of extremely early newborns and physician resuscitation preferences. Mixed-effects logistic regression models examined association of perceived QOL and resuscitation preferences when adjusting for specialty, level of training, gender, and experience with ex-premature infants. Results A total of 254 of 544 (47%) physicians were responded. A minority of physicians had interacted with surviving extremely early newborns when they were ≥3 years old (23% of physicians in pediatrics/neonatology and 6% in obstetrics/MFM). The majority of physicians did not believe an extremely early newborn would have an acceptable QOL at the earliest gestational ages (11% at 22 and 23% at 23 weeks). The majority of physicians (73%) believed that having an extremely preterm infant would have negative effects on the family's QOL. Mixed-effects logistic regression models (odds ratio [OR], 95% confidence interval [CI]) revealed that physicians who believed infants would have an acceptable QOL were less likely to offer comfort care only at 22 (OR: 0.19, 95% CI: 0.05–0.65, p < 0.01) and 23 weeks (OR: 0.24, 95% CI: 0.07–0.78, p < 0.02). They were also more likely to offer active treatment only at 24 weeks (OR: 9.66, 95% CI: 2.56–38.87, p < 0.01) and 25 weeks (OR: 19.51, 95% CI: 3.33–126.72, p < 0.01). Conclusion Physician views of extremely early newborns' future QOL correlated with self-reported resuscitation preferences. Residents and obstetric physicians reported more pessimistic views on QOL. The article reveals the features of the distinction between criminal and non-criminal circumstances, leading to a patient treatment unfavorable outcome. The aim of the research undertaken is to identify the nature and degree of social danger of professional negligence in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The article analyzes statistical data characterizing the dynamics of bringing doctors and other medical workers to criminal responsibility for committing crimes that caused harm to the life and health of patients. The organic connection of iatrogenic crimes with defects in the quality of medical care and improper performance of professional duties by medical workers is argued. The author reveals the difference between the causes of death and deterioration in the health of persons seeking medical assistance, and analyzes the practice of termination of medical workers criminal prosecution on rehabilitating grounds. On the basis of materials of modern judicial practice, it is proved that there is no need to separate the category «iatrogenic crimes» in the criminal law. A differentiated approach to qualification of adverse treatment outcomes seems promising. The author proposes detailing the legal liability of medical workers and medical organizations, depending on the criminal or non-criminal nature of the circumstances of causing harm to the life and health of the patient.
