Background: Chronic endometritis has been related to infertility but it is usually asymptomatic and the diagnosis is rarely suspected clinically. In cases of absence of any macroscopic abnormalities during conventional hysteroscopy, endometrial dyeing using methylene blue help identify abnormal areas and coupled with the histopathological examination gives a better diagnosis of endometritis.Methods: This study was conducted on 100 infertile women in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi over a period of one year. All women under- went hysteroscopy followed by chromohysteroscopy using 1% methylene blue dye. Biopsy was taken from light and dark stained areas. The histopathology results of these samples were compared and analyzed in relation with hysteroscopic and chromohysteroscopic findings and diagnostic accuracy calculated.Results: Out of 100 women who underwent dianostic hysteroscopy 68 cases had normal findings and 32 had abnormal finding and on chromohysteroscopy light staining pattern was seen in 56 cases and 44 cases had dark staining. Histopathology of biopsy tissue from these dark stained areas showed endometritis in 50% (22 out of 44 cases) and normal endometrium in 50% (22 out of 44) cases, and biopsy from light stained area showed chronic endometritis in 5.35% (3 out of 56) cases and remaining 94.65% had normal endometrium. Diagnostic accuracy of chromohysteroscopy were sensitivity=88%, specificity=70.66%, PPV=50%, NPV=94.6%.Conclusions: Chromohysteroscopy is a simple and effective technique for diagnosing endometrial pathology in cases of infertility.

Background: Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is a common presenting symptom in gynecological outpatient department. Endometrial sampling could be used as the first diagnostic step in AUB. Aim of our study was to evaluate the endometrial causes of AUB and to observe the incidence of various pathology in different age groups.Methods: A study was conducted on 167 patients who presented with AUB, during the period from July 2015- January 2017.All endometrial curettage and hysterectomy specimens received in the Department of Pathology, Kannur Medical College during  this  period  were included.Results: Maximum numbers of patients were in the perimenopausal age group and normal cycling endometrium was the commonest pattern observed (41.3%).Abnormal patterns noted were hyperplasia without atypia (20.9%), disordered proliferative pattern (16.1%) and endometrial carcinoma (1.7%).Conclusion: Histopathological examination of endometrium showed wide spectrum of lesions from normal endometrium to malignancy. Accurate analysis of endometrial sampling is important in the management of AUB.

Background & Method: The study was conducted in the Department of Medicine Shyam Shah Medical College and Associated Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Rewa (M.P). History was followed by a careful clinical examination i.e. cardiovascular, respiratory and gastrointestinal and nervous system. Investigations had done included routine haematological examination, Biochemical analysis, urine examination, ECG, 2 D. Echo & Histopathological examination was done. Result: ST-T changes were most common finding in Aluminium phosphide poisoning in relation to mortality. However hyperkalemia was the most ominous finding associated with 100% mortality, ECG finding in EDB was normal ECG. The most ominous finding was arrhythmia which was associated with 100% mortality. Survivors of ethylene dibromide poisoning echocardiography was normal in 11 (84.61%) followed by pericardial effusion in 2 (15.38%) patients. Conclusion: Noteworthy finding was absence of correlation between cardiovascular involvement, histopathological changes and ECG findings. It was seen that even if ECG showed normal pattern there were significant histopathological changes in heart. Keywords: electro-cardiographic, Aluminium phosphide, ethylene dibromide & poisoning.

Batch experiments have been studied to remove methylene blue dye (MB) from aqueous solution using modified bentonite. The modified bentonite was synthesized by replacing exchangeable calcium cations in natural bentonite with cationic surfactant cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB). The characteristics of modified bentonite were studied using different analysis such as Scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and surface area. Where SEM shows the natural bentonite has a porous structure, a rough and uneven appearance with scattered and different block structure sizes, while the modified bentonite surface morphology was smooth and supplemented by a limited number of holes. On other hand, (FTIR) analysis that proved NH group aliphatic and aromatic group of MB and silanol group are responsible for the sorption of contaminate. The organic matter peaks at 2848 and 2930 cm-1 in the spectra of modified bentonite which are sharper than those of the natural bentonite were assigned to the CH2 scissor vibration band and the symmetrical CH3 stretching absorption band, respectively, also the 2930 cm-1 peak is assigned to CH stretching band. The batch study was provided the maximum removal efficiency (99.99 % MB) with a sorption capacity of 129.87 mg/g at specified conditions (100 mg/L, 25℃, pH 11 and 250rpm). The sorption isotherm data fitted well with the Freundlich isotherm model. The kinetic studies were revealed that the sorption follows a pseudo-second-order kinetic model which indicates chemisorption between sorbent and sorbate molecules.

Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) is one of the most common indications for hysteroscopy. Most of the AUB cases occur due to endometrial or myometrium pathology. Among it, endometrial polyps (EP) and chronic endometritis (CE) prevalent in reproductive age, while endometrial hyperplasia (EH) and EP dominate in perimenopause. It was determined that EP and CE are characterized with menorrhagia and metrorrhagia approximately equally, whereas EH reveals AUB with oligomenorrhoea. Verification of exact endometrial pathology by ultrasound examination is hindered, that results in deviations of ultrasound and histological diagnosis. The usage of ultrasound data and AUB’s characteristics may improve the diagnostic accuracy on preadmission period.

The study aims to use an adsorbent natural based of Moroccan oil shale of Timahdit area (Y layer) in a physical-chemical adsorption process for treating industrial discharges colorful. The used adsorbent is the insoluble party of the sub-critical extraction of decarbonized oil shale of Timahdit. The tests performed on the methylene blue (MB), showed a strong elimination in the first 10 minutes. The influences of various experimental parameters were studied: mass ratio of adsorbent, time and temperature of thermal treatment, contact time, pH of MB and heating temperature of solution on the parameters of material were studied. The experimental results have shown that the adsorption of methylene blue dye by the adsorbent is more than 90% at initial pH a range 6-7 at room temperature for 30 minutes. The process is simple and the adsorbent produced is a new material with interesting adsorption capacities of moderate cost which does not require an activating agent and can be used as industrial adsorbent for the decontamination of effluents containing organic pollutants.
