ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze and evaluate the environmental management system implementation at Bali Zoo. This study was conducted using a case study method. Results show that Bali Zoo does not implement an environmental cost reporting based on environmental management accounting and has yet to focus on developing a competitive advantage on its resources based on the resource-based view theory. This study helps Bali Zoo in preparing environmental cost report to evaluate the efficiency of resources used in the environmental management and to integrate the concept of environmental management accounting in Bali Zoo’s environmental management system. For some years now, Moroccan industrial companies have begun to integrate the environment into their management and to set up an environmental management system, in compliance with international standards, in order to meet the requirements of stakeholders. The fact remains that this management tool has enabled companies to control the impact of their activity on the environment by promoting manufacturing excellence. On a sample of twenty-two large industrial companies with a response rate of 55%, we conducted a quantitative and qualitative study, which allowed us to show the importance of EMS iso 14001 on the performance and competitiveness of the Moroccan industrial company.

The environmental management system according to PN-EN ISO 14001: 2015 [1] is a system whose message is to protect the natural environment. The environmental management system focuses mainly on reducing waste, possibilities and methods of waste disposal, pre-venting pollution, reducing the use of natural resources, and in the context of the transport industry, reducing emissions. The idea of the system is continuous improvement of activities related to the protection of the natural environment - through identification of threats, risk assessment and mobilization of enterprises to comply with the requirements of law in the field of environmental protection. For many years, the transport industry has been governed by its laws. However, with the changing market, where apart from large transport concerns, there are also small and micro companies providing transport services that also have an impact on the environment in individual parts of the transport industry. There are more and more entrepreneurs, both Polish and foreign, specializing in the transport industry, hence legal regulations, EU regulations and industry standards or standards aimed at reducing the impact of transport on the natural environment appear. It seems that as of today, mobilizing enterprises of various sizes to implement unified rules, reduce emissions, oversee waste, implement unified management systems, including environmental management systems, is the most effective method of impacting the improvement of environmental protection in this area.

ABSTRACT Analysis on structuring of sustainable environmental management system in Gua Maria Kerep Ambarawa (GMKA) refers to the COMHAR’s principles of sustainable development, which is done by using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) system, with 6 elements approach as research variables, namely (1) requirements needed to run the management of the environment, (2) the main constraint, (3) possible changes, (4) implementation of environmental management objectives, (5) benchmarks for assessing each objective, and (6) activities required in the implementation of management environment. This study aims to find a model structure of sustainable environmental management system in the GMKA region, through the analysis of driver power-dependence and hierarchy of sub-elements. The study of the relationship of the driver power- dependence showed that 26 variables forming stable relationships with other variables and feedback effects can magnify the impact. Variables that dominate commonly associated with stakeholder interests in the GMKA region (manager, pilgrims / visitors and community), followed by the variables associated with the funds, facilities, and management, and finally the variables related to the environmental conditions. Analysis of the hierarchy of the variables indicating that the association of each variable is a more reciprocal relationship of mutual influence and not just a relationship based on level position. Key Words : Sustainable environment, GMKA, Interpretive Structural Modelling, COMHAR

Nowadays, the environmental dimension is an important factor in the managerial decisions of polluting firms. These firms are subject to regulations which are characterized by the adoption of norms and standards to ensure a minimally non-polluted environment. These norms have incited firms to adopt environmental management systems. In line with these ideas, our study aims to analyze whether the adoption of an environmental management system would improve the productivity of firms operating in the manufacturing sector. With a sample composed of French companies listed in the SBF 120, we measured productivity by specifying and estimating a Cobb-Douglas production function and then used panel data to test the impact of the adoption of an environmental management system on the productivity of manufacturing firms. We found a positive and significant relation between the implementation of an EMS and productivity.

Every year the impact on natural environment is more due to consumption of natural resources for large infrastructure and construction projects. Even though by implementing modern construction techniques and low cost effective materials the volume of impact reduction is not efficient. India is a country which has enormous natural resources and it has been utilized for large infrastructure and construction projects which makes an environmental impact. This present paper focuses on planning and formulation of Environmental Management System (EMS) to reduce the environmental impact due to large infrastructure and construction projects. The planning of EMS is done based on the environmental impact checklist provided by Ministry of Environmental and Forest Climate change (MoEF&CC) under Government of India and the Formulation is done through PERT and CPM techniques which is to implement EMS in short duration to reduce environmental impact through large infrastructure and construction projects. Finally, the Planning and Formulation of EMS gives solution to reduce more volume of environmental impacts due to large infrastructure and construction projects.
