This study explored the role of a Community Learning Center (CLC) in fostering the community’s social entrepreneurship character and motivation in facing the economic challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was an empirical examination of the phenomenon of social entrepreneurship. The descriptive method was used; the data were gathered through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 5 CLC managers and from secondary data. The results showed that the CLC designs programs, such as holding training to instil an entrepreneurial mindset and improve community skills. The CLC also provides personal assistance in starting a social entrepreneurship business through coaching and providing venture capital. Furthermore, the CLC provides free public classes on tackling the problems of modern social entrepreneurship. It carries out programs specifically designed to motivate people to face challenges and expand social entrepreneurship businesses. We identified the role of the CLC as a forum for socialization and for providing mentoring classes with successful speakers in the field of entrepreneurship as an effort to foster the character and motivation of the community to start social entrepreneurship. This study explores the community learning centers' effort in improving the community's information literacy to prevent cybercrime during the pandemic era through an empirical examination of the phenomenon of pandemic COVID 19 social impacts in the specific context of Indonesia. The study used a simple research design approach with the case study method. The subject of this study consisted of five Community Learning Center’s managers from Cimahi District (CLC Nurul Islam Al Husna), Garut District (CLC Ngejah), East Jakarta District (CLC Faradika), and Karawang District (CLC Ash Sholahiyah and CLC Sanggar Juang), and two community education experts from Indonesia. Data were analyzed using triangulation, including extensive interviews from five community learning center's managers, interviews with community education experts, as well as secondary data. The study found that community learning center's efforts consist of conducting virtual socialization and also mentoring the community on information literacy, revitalizing parenting education on guiding children during their screen time, activating community reading center to create a lively discussion, and fostering community's critical thinking and information assessment. The contribution of this study to the literature on community education consists of presenting empirical evidence on the real contribution of Community Learning Center in improving the community's information literacy level while preventing the wide spreading of cyber-crime during the pandemic COVID 19 era.

Sustaining community learning center (CLC) as a community activity centerby increasing the community capacity and skill to deal with socio-economics challenges is an important focus to ensure the success of CLC. This study was aimed to describe the sustainability elements of CLC development and analyze the policy elements that influence the sustainability of CLC program, particularly in related to CSR program. This study approach was combining a qualitative approach and quantitative approach with analytic decision method which is never conducted in the previous studies on CLC. Data and information were collected through document studies, observations and structured interviews through questionnaires, then they were analyzed using descriptive analysis and interpretive structural modeling (ISM) analysis. From ten elements of CLC sustainability were analyzed, the result of study emphasized to the importance of CLC management capacity enhancement in PKBM Assolahiyah. The result was synthesized into a policy model of CLC development through CSR program. The policy model should involve the roles of government, scientist, and non-governmental organization (NGO) to strengthen the CLC development

This study aimed to analyze the role of the Community Learning Activity Center in Overcoming Social Problems. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis approach. It is collecting data in this study using the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The sample in this study used a multiple-stage random sampling method—data analysis techniques through data collection, data presentation reduction, and concluding. The main focus of the Community Learning Activity Center in this study were three main Community Learning Activity Centers, namely: 1) Jembar Kabisa Community Learning Center; 2) Guna Darma Community Learning Center; and 3) Cigembong Community Learning Center. Based on the data and research analysis, it can be concluded that the Community Learning Activity Center in Sumedang district is the Jembar Kabisa Community Learning Activity Center; Guna Darma Community Learning Center; and the Cigembong Community Learning Activity Center to overcome poverty through non-formal education in the form of valuable and practical programs, while other activities in the development and community empowerment sector exist but are still not optimal.

Community learning center (PKBM) tutors should have professional pedagogic, personal and social competencies. This study aimed at investigating whether the tutors in PKBM Miftahul Jannah, East Jakarta  have such competencies. This study also investigated the learners. achievement . A survey using questionnaire was conducted for that purpose. This study reveals that the tutors have such competencies whereas the learners' achievement vary. This study also provides suggestions to improve the tutors quality.

The purpose of this research is to give further description how leadership factor and organizationalr cultural factor can contribute or related to the performance gained by the tutors in the organization by looking at (a) the relation between leadership style and tutor’s performance, (b) the relation between organizational culture and tutor’s performance, and (c) the relation between leadership style and organizational culture with tutor’s performance. This positivistic research employed survey method and conducted in Community Learning Center (SKB) Limboto, Gorontalo District, as from September through November 2014. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to the tutors, interviewing informant, and studying the document and then analyzed using path analysis. The result of the study indicates (a) leadership style has significant relation with the tutor’s performance, (b) organization culture has significant relation with tutor’s performance, and (c) between leadership style and organizational culture simultaneously has significant relation with tutor’s performance.

Abstrak: Guru PAUD memiliki beragam peran seperti guru pada umumnya.  Namun pembedanya tampak pada peran guru PAUD yang bertugas mengembangkan beragam kemampuan dasar anak untuk menggali potensi anak sejak dini.  Kemampuan dasar bahasa asing pada usia ini dimulai dari pengenalan bahasa Inggris secara mendasar yakni melalui kosakata sederhana. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk: 1) mengetahui pengenalan bahasa Inggris dasar dan 2) peran guru anak usia dini dalam pengenalan bahasa Inggris RA/PAUD. Dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian lapangan serta pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif peneliti menentukan Sumber data primer nya adalah kepala RA/PAUD, sie kurikulum, serta wali peserta didik. Sedangkan sumber data sekunder adalah referensi yang relevan dengan pengenalan bahasa Inggris, peran guru, dan PAUD. Kemudian Data diperoleh melalui teknik observasi partisipatif wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumentasi uji keabsahan data menggunakan uji credibility, transferability dan confirmability melalui reduction, display data dan conclusion drawing.Hasil yang diperoleh adalah pengenalan bahasa Inggris dasar di RA/PAUD dilakukan setiap hari menyatu dengan pembelajaran tema-tema dan sub tema dalam muatan kurikulumnya berbentuk kosakata harian dan sapaan peran guru anak usia dini dalam pengenalan bahasa Inggris dasar sangat bervariasi. Guru memiliki multi peran dalam satu waktu. Peran-peran tersebut adalah sebagai educator, mediator, observer, facilitator, motivator, administrator, dan composer. KataKunci: peran guru PAUD, pengenalan bahasa Inggris, PAUD     Abstract: Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers have various roles like teachers in general. But the difference is seen in their roles tasked with developing a variety of children's basic abilities to explore children's potential from an early age. The basic ability of foreign languages ​​at this age starts from the basic introduction of English through simple vocabulary. The purpose of this study is to: 1) determine the introduction of basic English and 2) the roles of early childhood teachers in the introduction of English in this level. By using the type of field research and the qualitative descriptive approach, the researcher determines that the primary data source is the head of the RA, curriculum courses, and guardians of students. While secondary data sources are relevant references to the introduction of English, the role of teachers, and PAUD. Then the data obtained through participatory observation techniques semi-structured interviews and documentation of data validity test using the test of credibility, transferability and confirmability through reduction, display data and conclusion drawing.The results obtained are the introduction of basic English in RA done every day together with the learning of themes and sub themes in the curriculum content in the form of daily vocabulary and the greeting of the role of early childhood teachers in the introduction of basic English varies greatly. The teacher has multiple roles at one time.
