Purpose of the study: The objective of this study is to examine the mediation effect of ESC on the relationship between climate constructs and intention to Safety in small and medium enterprises. Methodology: A structured self-administrative questionnaire was distributed to the employee of the small-medium enterprise in Peninsular Malaysia using simple random sampling. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) procedure were carried out to filter the items and validate the constructs in the study. The study tested the proposed hypotheses using the second-generation method of multivariate analysis Structural Equation Modelling (SEM. Furthermore, the results were confirmed through the bootstrapping procedure. All analysis of this study was conducted using IBM-SPSS-AMOS version 24.0. Main Findings: All items retained from EFA results were rearranged for the field study questionnaire. The CFA results indicated that the absolute fit index (RMSEA= 0.071) CFI = 0.975, TLC = 0.964, chisq/df = 2.431 achieved the requirement level. The results of this present study revealed that employee safety climate mediated the relationship between WO, IWE, and intention to safety behavior. Additionally, results indicated that ESC is the most prominent factor of intention to safety behavior. Applications of this study: The results from this study contribute to the improvement of proactive safety performance measures in small-medium enterprises, but further efforts are required for achieving an excellent safety performance level. Novelty/Originality of this study: The present study adds to the literature of safety performance and provides direction for future research work in this area. Additionally, the results of this present study mark an important step towards standardizing the measurement of safety climate in small and medium industries.

We explored the influence of transactional leadership on employees’ safety behavior, and investigated the impact of safety climate and psychological empowerment on this influence. By surveying 260 employees in the construction industry, we obtained the following results: First, transactional leadership negatively predicted safety climate, psychological empowerment, and employees’ safety behavior. Second, safety climate and psychological empowerment positively predicted employees’ safety behavior. Third, safety climate and psychological empowerment played a mediating role in the relationship between transactional leadership and employee safety behavior. Practical and theoretical implications of the findings are discussed.

Leadership behavior has an impact on the behavior of employees. Previous studies have mainly studied the impact of positive leadership behaviors on employees’ behaviors, but there is an absence of research on the impact of negative leadership behaviours (abusive supervision) on safety behaviours (including safety participation and safety compliance). In this study, 599 front-line employees in the petrochemical industry were selected as subjects. Abusive supervision, safety behaviour, safety motivation and a conscientiousness questionnaire were used as measurements to explore the relationship between abusive supervision and employee safety behaviors, and to further explore the roles of safety motivation, conscientiousness and the relationship between them. This study found that abusive supervision is negatively related to employee safety behaviours (safety compliance and safety participation); that safety motivation plays a mediating role in the relationship between abusive supervision and employees’ safety behavior; and that conscientiousness moderates the role of safety motivation between the relationship of abusive supervision and employees’ safety behaviour. With a higher level of conscientiousness, the indirect relationship between abusive supervision and employee safety behaviours is weaker. Finally, we discuss the theoretical and practical significance of these findings for abusive supervision and the management of safety behaviours.

This study intends to explore the impact of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on the Performance of Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) in Pakistan. As the Interest and Inflation rate are high, this research has been taken to find the relation between the changes in inflation and interest and how they impact the performance of SMEs. Although there are several studies associated with the DV (Small & Medium enterprises) but the paper is unique as it is (based upon data from Secondary sources of Pakistan where there is a severe lacking of such studies. Data has been collected through the Mono method to indicate the effect of GDP on the performance of SMEs). OCDC countries governments are facing the challenges of low growth, weak trade, weak investment and rising high inequality that’s why the researcher will investigate that the impact of GDP on the performance of SMEs is significant in high interest and inflation rate. Therefore this study is one of the epistemology / pervasive in nature as the study is potent to increase the knowledge in the area of business as well as foreign direct investors. However, this study was supplemented with some limitations as the data collected from the Mono method as an archival strategy from Pakistan. This study would also help the business sector manage their interest rates and attract foreign direct investors to invest more to increase the Gross Domestic Product of Pakistan. The sample size for the study is the past 15 years of data from secondary sources in Pakistan and the researcher will use the CFA and SAM approach using E-Views software that has been used for the purpose of data analysis and the major reason for the application of the software is the theory-building approach associated for finding the relationships between GDP and the Performance of SMEs. Although the paper is supported by descriptive due to quantitative in nature & as well as inferential analysis in order to make findings of the study potent and reliable enough. The use of the software indicated that there is a relationship between major IV (Gross Domestic Product) and DV of the study (Performance of Small & Medium Enterprises) and thus the result is prevalent in identifying the relationship between the variables GDP (IV) & Performance of SME (DV).

Purpose of the study: The main objective of this study was to examine the effect of climate emergence (i.e., work ownership, Islamic work ethic, and employee safety climate) on the intention of safety behavior. Methodology: The research framework was developed based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and Social Exchange Theory. Stratified random sampling was used to collect data from 400 first-line operators and supervisors within the Small Medium Enterprise. A total of 250 useable questionnaires with a response rate of 75% were used for data analysis. The five proposed hypotheses were tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in IBM-SPSS-AMOS. Main Findings: The results indicate that climate emergence factors have a positive and significant effect on employee intention to safety behavior. Furthermore, employee safety climate found to be the strongest predictor of employee intention to safety behavior, while other climate emergence factors do not have a direct effect on the intention of safety behavior. The model accounted for 76% of the variance in climate emergence in the context of intention to safety behavior. Applications of this study: The results obtained from this study contribute to the improvement of proactive safety performance measures in the small-medium enterprise. However, further efforts are required to achieve the enhanced safety performance level Novelty/Originality of this study: This study adds to the existing psychological literature on climate and employee safety behavior. This present study enhanced the climate-based construct by improving the safety performance measurement for small-medium enterprises.

Purpose-the increasing of SME number in Indonesia is not followed by the increasing of business performance, although various managerial and entrepreneural tranings, as well as busniness advocations has been given intensively by government. The objective of this research is to analise the impact  of entrepreneural orintation, market orientation, managerial  skill,and entrepreneurship training on SMEs business performance. Design/methodology/ approach- the approach used is survey method. Data gathered from 200 respondents accross for districts or city in Jambi Province,  and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) used as analysing tool.  Findings- this research find  that the business performance is influenced  by the level of entrepreneural orientation and the attending of entrepreneurship training. Management skill is the intervening variable between entrepreneurship traning and business performance. The result also find that market orientation is an intervening for the relationship between entrepreneural orientation and business performance.

Entrepreneurship plays an important role in the modern global economy; the share of products of small and medium enterprises in the gross product and exports not only of the developed but also of developing countries is growing. Innovation processes cover all sectors of the economy, and more and more people are involved in entrepreneurial activity, which contributes to the penetration of entrepreneurial thinking and business values in all areas of the socioeconomic life of society. The Institute of Entrepreneurship plays an increasingly prominent role in the institutional environment of socio-economic systems. This actualizes the problem of studying the relationship of the institution of entrepreneurship with the institutions of law, culture, management. This requires a methodology that allows you to explore the impact on the institute of entrepreneurship not only economic, but also non-economic factors. The methodology of the “old” institutionalism possesses such a tool, it is structural modeling (pattern modeling), which allows to explore the diversity of interrelationships of the institution of entrepreneurship with other components of the institutional and economic environment. The article explored the features of the development of the institution of entrepreneurship in Russia, established the relationship between the institution of entrepreneurship, values, motives and incentives for entrepreneurial activity, built a structural model of the institution of entrepreneurship based on the methodology of the old institutionalism (pattern modeling). The structural model of the institution of entrepreneurship reveals the relationship between the institution of entrepreneurship, the values of entrepreneurial activity, its motives and incentives; as well as the relationship between the institution of entrepreneurship with the institutions of governance, cultural and religious institutions, legal institutions and society.

The aim of this study is to determine the impact of networking on SME’s ability to access government financial support through legal channels in Asia Pacific. This study is quantitative in nature in which the data has been gathered from 281 employees and managers working in SMEs through survey questionnaire. The SEM technique was utilised for the purpose of analysing and testing the mediation effect. The study found that there is a partial mediation of government financial support through legal channels among the relationship between networking with officers and access to finance. This study is restricted to the SMEs operating in the region of Asia Pacific.
