The development of effective organizational systems is one of the most important factors of business success. Radical economic and political changes and the rapid development of the global economic environment trigger public debates in all social structures on the state of entrepreneurial culture, based on generally accepted ethical and legal principles. Ethical business problems have a global dimension and are particularly clearly reflected at the local level of operation. By joining wider social and entrepreneurial structures, Slovenia also accepts global rules of entrepreneurial activity. Growing competition in the global market requires companies to provide superior products, services and ethically and legally correct operations, which is one of the central factors of success in the global business environment. In this paper, we discuss the important relationships between ethics, respect for legal principles and the effectiveness of organizations.

Research background: Entrepreneurial activity is largely affected by negative changes in the global business environment, as evidenced by the huge impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the entrepreneurial activity of Slovak enterprises. It is here that the importance of proactive risk management is reaffirmed, which should be an integral part of the enterprise’s management and thus preventively assess possible risks and their consequences and be prepared to manage them and not just respond to a crisis situation. Purpose of the article: The purpose of the article is to point out the importance of risk management in business and project management in connection with the globalization of the business environment. Assess the readiness of Slovak enterprises to ensure the continuity of business activities in connection with negative changes in the business environment such as the COVID 19 pandemic. Methods: The article will be processed using basic scientific methods. The qualitative and quantitative aspects of the researched problem, comparison and generalization of conclusions will be processed through observation, analysis, comparison and synthesis, including several managerial methods for risk assessment and management. Findings & Value added: Successful implementation of risk management in the enterprise and within the project activities from the point of view of prevention of crisis situations in the enterprise caused by interruption of operation as well as premature termination of projects is a means to maintain continuity and competitiveness of business activities and achieve project goals in the global market.

Purpose In today’s business world, trust is an essential ingredient for business success, as it serves as a foundation for enhancing a network of positive relationships among businesses, clients, employees and stakeholders. This study aims to shed light on a deeper and more substantial understanding of trust by examining the casual association between national culture and trust. Design/methodology/approach The study empirically investigates the extent to which cultural factors promote and constrain the level of trust using a mixed sample of 46 developed and developing countries observed over the period of 1990-2014. Findings The study provides new empirical evidence that trusting behavior is explained systematically by national culture. Countries with high individualistic and high long-term oriented cultures are the most favorable environment that fosters trust among people in society. In contrast, individuals from countries with the expression of high power distance and high uncertainty avoidance cultures appear to exhibit less trust in others. Practical implications The study provides managerial implications, especially for managers and management consultants in a global context, regarding the cultural relevance of trust in the new and foreign environment, and the effective management of trust among culturally diverse workforces and business relationships. In addition, the study should serve as a supplemental learning material in the business and management disciplines to demonstrate the essential role of trust in the global business environment. Originality/value The study adds to the existing body of knowledge on trust by offering new empirical insights into how culture plays an influential role in the creation of trust. This serves as a good starting point for academic scholars and practicing professionals to further develop appropriate management strategies and execution plans for managing trust across different cultural settings.

The current area characterized with strong competition, the changing pattern of the business, move the value from physicals to knowledges and information, and the shift of the benefits from traditional competition cognitive and intellectual assets, most of the organizations are looking for new methods to achieve a state of leadership and uniqueness in the global market in order to develop the competition.The current study aimed to identify the role of Entrepreneur Strategies on improving cognitive positioning in the global business area. Moreover, field testing of the views of leaders as a sample of foreign organization operating in Erbil - Iraq, where these dimensions vary in their effects towards the competitive position in global business sector, because of rapid changes in the global business environment as a result of increased competition, as well as the variation of the capacity of the organizations in the adoption of competitive as one of the modern models in the conduct of organizations. This paper treats the role and significance of international transfer pricing in the activities of modern globally operating companies in the contemporary conditions of constantly increasing globalization of the world economic area. The main goals and tasks pursued by the mechanism of international transfer pricing in the hyper competitive, highly risky and dynamically changing global business environment are explained. The key accounting problems related to the processes of planning, analysis and control of specific strategies of international transfer pricing in the globally oriented companies are discussed. The rapid development of globalization processes in contemporary conditions determines the growth of the significance and application of international transfer pricing in the activities of modern globally operating companies. Increasing the degree of their economic integration and the amount of their intra-corporate exchange, as well as the increasing complexity of their international transactions, make international transfer pricing one of the most important and topical problem that is faced by these companies.The main goal pursued by the mechanism of international transfer pricing is to optimize activities and maximize overall profits for the company as a whole on a global basis. The accounting problems that may arise in connection with international transfer pricing in modern globally operating companies are in two main aspects:  problems in terms of information provision of the internal management processes that occur in the different subsidiaries and within the company as a whole;  problems in providing the necessary accounting information for the purpose of compiling the financial statements and satisfying the information needs of the interested external users. The accounting information system of globally operating companies should be able to meet the information needs of their distinctive uniform system of making decisions aimed at coordinating goals on a global basis, successfully implementing the global strategy and optimizing resources and results globally. The accounting must provide adequate information needed to make sound management decisions concerning the policy of international transfer pricing that is implemented, to control the implementation of these decisions and subsequently to assess and analyze the results. A key problem for globally operating companies is implementing such a policy of international transfer pricing that ensures optimal results for the company as a whole and at the same time successful practical implementation of the requirement for consistency of the goals of all units operating within the overall organizational structure. Considerable difficulties arise in the objective assessment of costs and benefits of the application of transfer prices in the implementation of numerous and diverse international operations between the different constituent structural units of the company and the making of sound management decisions based on this.

This paper aims to explore the importance of globalization for the development of entrepreneurship. Changes in global business environment require new business strategies. Small business owners are expected to be able to develop the resiliency of their businesses so that they can face severe external conditions. Their sustainability depends on the resilience but also on the perspectives of long-term business operations. Therefore, small and medium-sized enterprises must demonstrate their ability to anticipate changes in the market, react to them, and initiate them. This implies improvement of basic processes, learning new skills and closer cooperation with external and internal partners. Small enterprises need to redefine their goals and use their resources more effectively as a necessary condition for expanding maneuvering space for growth and for achieving sustainable development. Finally, it is concluded that organizations must establish the right balance between the challenges and benefits of globalization, and the four basic areas for achieving the right balance are adequate cost, human resources and risk management, as well as the formulation of a strategy that follows the requirements of the global market game.

The objective of the study was to investigate the extent of the practice of the learning organization within the Kenyan commercial banks and determine the relationship between the aforementioned practice with organizational performance. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. It was a census survey comprising all the 43 banks licensed to operate in Kenya under the banking Act. The sample frame included all the commercial banks listed in the Central Bank of Kenya website. The 43 banks were further divided into 3 tiers based on profitability for the year 2008 as indicated in the Banking Survey 2009. Primary data was collected using a structured questionnaire while secondary data regarding organizational performance was obtained from the banking survey 2009. The data collected was analysed using descriptive statistics in terms of frequency and percentage tabulations, cross tabulations and Pearson’s correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between the practice of the learning organization and organizational performance. The study established that most Kenyan commercial banks had to a large extent adopted the following practices adopted by most organizations: development of information systems designed to inform and empower, formative accounting control, learning approach to strategy development, participative policy making, reward flexibility and supportive leadership. The practices least adopted were the ones involved in enabling structures, creating a learning climate and boundary workers as environmental scanners. Findings indicate that there is an inverse relationship between the practice of the learning organization and organizational performance. This would suggest that there are other factors that have to be taken into account to determine and explain this discrepancy, hence the need for further study. In conclusion, the study established that two thirds of the Kenyan banks had adopted the practices of the learning institution. The study also indicates that there is a tendency for Kenyan commercial banks to focus on certain aspects of the learning organization instead of seeing the whole picture and focusing on the organization as a dynamic entity. Interest in the learning organization has been stimulated by the need to attain sustainable competitive advantage The researcher recommends that the Kenyan commercial banks should embrace more systematic, definite and concrete steps towards adopting a learning culture, in order to survive the onslaught of competitive forces in the global market. The study suggests further investigation into whether the practices were adopted as part of a systematic strategy to develop the banks as learning organizations or whether they were simply adopted on an ad hoc basis for purposes of expediency and organizational survival. The twenty-first century business environment is expanding and increasingly attracting the interest of countries from developed and developing nations of the world. As countries of the world become increasingly interdependent and interconnected because of global market and diverse consumer needs, it is critically important that participating countries and their organizations understand and appreciate one anothers cultural differences in order to ensure growth and sustainability in international business. Recent studies have traced the failure of some international business ventures to three significant factors: lack of intercultural skills and competence, inability to communicate effectively at a global level, and failure to practice acceptable etiquette in business negotiations. Therefore, businesses from different countries need to appreciate the importance of understanding the cultures and values of their counterparts as well as develop intercultural communication sensitivity and decorum. This paper then is an attempt toward analyzing the significance and role of intercultural communication and etiquette in international business. Recommendations for appropriate practices and acceptable conducts among nations are provided.

The dynamic changes in business environment make competition among company more tightly in the global market. This situation makes each company prepared innovation strategies to win global market competition. This research examined innovation strategies in two biggest cosmetic and herbal health companies in Indonesia. The author used case study with exploratory approach to find out how company developing innovation strategies and what factors that influence company in formulating those strategies. The author used canvas business modelling for analysis data. Data collection used secondary data which gained through the company profile and literatures review. This result indicates that innovation in value proposition, customer segments and key partners has become solution in helping cosmetic and herbal health industry strives to survive and be ready to face global business challenges.

Small tourist enterprises on the local level lack favourable and «friendly» business environment which would enable larger investments in increasing the quality of their products, strengthening the market position of its products, optimal use of resources and specialisation, which would create pre-requisites for generation of new added values, in order to to achieve a more respectable market position, which has been seriously threatened by large corporations as a result of globalisation rise. Competitiveness of local small entrepreneurs in tourist destinations which operate in the global business environment will increasingly depend on the ability to co-operate and form partnerships on the local level. Competitiveness of any tourist destination in relation to others will in the future depoend on the effectiveness of its tourist clusters. The main aim of this paper is to show how can tourism cluster of small entrepreneurs be possible model for small entrepreneurship development in tourist destinations in Croatia and how it can increase its competitiveness (case of Labin-Rabac tourist destination). The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the importance of clustering in the tourism sector, and highlight key advantages and benefits of establishing tourist cluster for its cluster members and tourist destination. Basic hypotesis: pooling of small entrepreneurs into tourism clusters is the base of the most efficient way to achieve future development of tourist destinations in order to achieve more competitive tourism.
