Fluid-explosive rocks of the dike complex are identified in the Middle Timan. The rocks have convergent properties due to a combination of explosive and metasomatic processes. The study of the petrographic features of the rocks revealed their explosive nature. Further study of the chemical composition of rock-forming minerals established the source of the mantle material and the paragenetic relationship with carbonatite magmatism. The fluid-explosive rocks of the dyke complex have a long-term multistage formation history. The fluids caused fenitization of the host strata and its disintegration. Solid-gas material of the mantle-crustal compound fills the cracks. At the last stage of formation of fluid-explosive rocks, the rare-metal, rare-earth, and sulfide mineralization took place.

The lithological and geochemical features of the metasandstones of the Svetlinskaya and Vizingskaya formations of the Middle Late Riphean Chetlas series in the Middle Timan, which are a substrate of rare-metal-rare-earth mineralization in several ore occurrences of the Kosyus ore cluster, have been investigated. The interpretation of the results of traditional weight chemical and mass spectrometric inductively coupled plasma (ICP MS) analyses allowed us to identify differences in the material composition of metapesanics, mainly due to changes in the degree of sedimentation maturity of terrigenous material coming from the demolition areas. The composition of metasandstones in various ratios includes both weakly weathered products of destruction of volcanic rocks of intermediate/basic composition, and altered, including under conditions of the weathering crust, metaterrigenous formations. The accumulation of sediments took place in a shallow coastal-marine environment with changing hydrodynamics, which affected the rate of destruction of rocks in paleo-catchments.

This study aims to discuss the policy of using renewable energy in the form of rare metal eart as an effort to build national energy security. The research method used a legal research looking from various perspectives in social science. Law is seen as a space for the process of scientific study in order to seek truth. The use of relevant legal research wants to understand the law more thoroughly. In performing implementation analysis, using the method of Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) with focus on energy regulation. The results of the study show that: First, the policy of the Indonesian republic government regarding the use of new energy and renewable energy aims to prepare the carrying capacity of national energy security. This policy has not fully gone well. The policy is not supported by consistency in issuing derivative policies. Second, the use of new energy and renewable energy, especially rare earth metals as part of efforts to encourage national energy security in Indonesia is still very far from expectations. The use of rare eart metal is only around 0.7% of the use of new energy. Efforts to explore and exploit rare earth metals have not been carried out in a timely manner. Whereas the potential of rare earth metals is a strategic community and has the potential to encourage national energy security in Indonesia. Indonesia is projected to produce rare earth metals reaching 20% of the world's supply.

In this study, a novel polystyrene-poly(hydroxamic acid) copolymer was synthesized as an effective adsorbent for the treatment of rare earth elements. Through the use of elemental analysis as well as FTIR, SEM, XPS, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area measurement, the synthesized polymer was found to have a specific surface area of 111.4 m2·g−1. The adsorption performances of rare metal ions were investigated under different pH levels, contact times, initial concentrations of rare earth ions, and temperatures. The adsorption equilibrium for La3+, Ce3+, and Y3+ onto a polystyrene-poly(hydroxamic acid) copolymer is described by the Langmuir model, which confirms the applicability of monolayer coverage of rare earth ions onto a polystyrene-poly(hydroxamic acid) copolymer. The amount of adsorption capacities for La3+, Ce3+, and Y3+ reached 1.27, 1.53, and 1.83 mmol·g−1 within four hours, respectively. The adsorption process was controlled by liquid film diffusion, particle diffusion, and chemical reaction simultaneously. The thermodynamic parameters, including the change of Gibbs free energy (∆G), the change of enthalpy (∆H), and the change of entropy (∆S), were determined. The results indicate that the adsorption of resins for La3+, Ce3+ and Y3+ was spontaneous and endothermic. The polymer was also used as a recyclable adsorbent by the desorption experiment.

The results of the ore and accessory minerals study in the syenite of the Perga beryllium deposit are discussed. Phenakite and genthelvite are found among Be-bearing minerals. Genthelvite of this syenite, being compared to early published data on genthelvite of the Perga deposit, is distinguished by the highest ZnO content which is close to the theoretical maximum) due to the alkaline nature of studied rock ((Na + K)/Al = 1.09). Genthelvite occurs as later mineral to phenakite or is formed by phenakite replacement at rising the alkalinity as a result of melt differentiation. Columbite with high-Mn content, Y-silicate (keiviite-(Y)?), rare-earth fluorocarbonate (bastnesite) are also found among other minerals of rare metals. The presence of fluorite and rare-earth fluorocarbonate in association with genthelvite or phenakite may indicate that Be and REE were transported in ore-bearing fluids as complex fluorine-carbonate compounds. Considering the geochemical characteristics of rocks (meta-aluminous, subalkaline and alkaline series, deep negative Euanomalies, low Sr, Ba, elevated – HFS elements) from the Sushcano-Perga region, enrichment of these rocks with rare metals and Be are related to intensive feldspar fractionation of the primary melts and due to alkaline oversaturation, volatile and rare metals (Be, Li, REE, Y, Nb, Ta) enrichment in the residual fractions of granitic or syenitic compositions. Postmagmatic alkaline solutions enriched in F and CO32- promote of Be concentration in fluid phase with its following migration and crystallization as genthelvite.

The paper summarizes the findings of research on Riphean ore-bearing apatite-albite metasomatites (aceites) identified in metamorphic, volcanic and intrusive rocks in the eastern Aldan-Stanovoy shield. The characteristic features of lithological and structural control of aceites, their mineral and petrochemical composition, geochemical associations, ontogeny, metasomatic zoning, and geochemical specialization are outlined. Aceites in metamorphic rocks are assigned to the albite-chlorite-apatite facies and in igneous rocks to the albite-apatite facies. Apatite-albite metasomatites host mineralization of two types: uranium (in aceites after metamorphic rocks) and uranium – rare earth element – rare metal (in aceites after volcanic and intrusive rocks).
