The article examines the current specificity of foreign trade ties of the Far Eastern Federal District. It presents a brief analysis of dynamics of the volumes and commodity structure of the export-import operations of the Far Eastern Federal District. At present, of specific significance for the regions of the Far East and Siberia is search for tolls of modernizing the economy with purpose of transition to innovative development. Foreign trade can be a perspective direction of socio-economic development of Russia’s Far East. Far Eastern Federal District is export-oriented, but in the export commodity structure the mineral raw groups of commodities prevail, which decreases its positive effect. Expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation with the countries of the Asian-Pacific region in the field of developing processing industries and machine building oriented at increasing the depth of mineral resources processing and growth of the ready-made products export can become the basis of sustainable development of the Far East.

The responses of economic agents in the mineral resources sector to the implantation of instruments of the “new model” of development of the Far Eastern Federal District in 2014-2020 is investigated. At the same time, the emphasis is put on assessing the capabilities of these instruments to stimulate the integrated development of the region’s strategic mineral resources. It was reveal is that within the framework of the “new model” there are no targets and measures aimed at technological modernization and development of processing industries in the mineral resources sector of the region. At the same time, the implemented measures of state support are actually aim at hypertrophied development of the raw stock component of the mineral resources sector. The potential and key directions in connection with the formation of new sub-sectors for the final processing of mineral resources of the Far Eastern Federal District have been shown. Changes to the model of state incentives for the development of the mineral resources sector in the Far East are proposed.

Research aim is to assess the prospects of using copper resources in the Far East to organize the regional base for the copper industry. Methodology. To assess the possibility or necessity of using the Far Eastern copper resources in the domestic industry, the state, production, needs and use of copper resources together with the existing projects of their development in the Far Eastern region are analyzed. Results and their analysis. In the Far East, projects are currently being implemented that require considerable use of a variety of non-ferrous metallurgy products. Metal products, materials and equipment required for the projects are imported or delivered from the western parts of Russia. Transportation significantly increases their cost. With the discovery and exploration of large copper deposits (Malmyzhskoye and Peschanka) and rich prospects of increasing the copper resource base in the far East, a number of ideas for copper industry creation and development in the region are proposed. Summary. The issue of copper industry creation in the Far East requires a multifaceted discussion, including the estimation of the general state and plans for the development of the copper industry in Russia and promising projects in the region. The region has sufficient reserves and resources of copper to create a complete technological chain of the regional copper industry, which involves the organization of copper production in the region. The potential of copper mineral resources in the region with an effective strategy for their use can contribute to the accelerated development of the Far East and become one of the factors of changing the geopolitical importance of Russia’s eastern part.

The book of memoirs of our teacher, Professor Alexander Leskov (1933—2017) prompted us to address the topic of the deployment of a wide front of archaeological research in the areas of reclamation construction in the south of Ukraine. Unfortunately, posthumously. It is said that one can say either good or nothing about the departed. Such approach is appropriate in memorial ceremonies or in nostalgic memories of a round date. But «Archaeologist’s notes» was announced in the Preface of the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences A. Ivanchik as «an important document for the historian of Russian science». In this case the document, left to the descendants by the famous scholar, requires meticulous approach by colleagues, especially those who were the witnesses of events which are set forth in the lengthy and not easy to read text. The attention of authors of the paper is focused on the fruitful Ukrainian period of scientific and organizational activity of the famous scholar, his successes and blunders. The events, described in the memoirs, reflect not only his personal dramatic life but also the archeology of the Ukraine, the acquisition of its independence in the conditions of inevitable political crisis. О. Leskov’s expeditions like a powerful bulldozer have passed through the kurgans of steppe Ukraine plowing many artifacts to the surface. The wavering between the glitter of Scythian gold and the urgent problems of the Late Bronze Age left the author of the «Memoirs» in the grip of scientific stereotypes and ideas of the 1970s. Archaeologists in Ukraine have switched to a more informative method of excavating of mounds with several parallel balks but this has already happened without the detonator of the kurgan boom.

The paper presents the results of a taxonomic study of the bees of the genus Evylaeus mostly deposited at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg) and the Institute of Biology and Soil Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Vladivostok). The new insular subspecies Evylaeus baleicus insulicola subsp. n. (from Sakhalin, Kunashir, and Japan), differing from the continental E. baleicus baleicus (Cockerell) in much narrower membranous retrorse lobe of the male gonocoxite, and the hitherto unknown males of E. briseis (Ebmer, 2005) and E. transpositus (Cockerell, 1925) are described. The following synonymy is ascertained: Lasioglossum caliginosus Murao et al., 2006 = L. nemorale Ebmer, 2006, syn. n. E. eomontanus (Ebmer, 2006) is considered a subspecies of E. briseis. Lectotypes are designated for the following nine nominal species: Hylaeus rubellus Eversmann, 1852 (= E. calceatus); Halictus gracilis Morawitz, 1865 (= E. lucidulus); H. pallipes Morawitz, 1865 (= E. quadrinotatulus); H. dybowskii Radoszkowski, 1876; H. nodicornis Morawitz, 1889; H. amurensis Vachal, 1902; H. permicus Blüthgen, 1923 (= E. ellipticeps); H. problematicus Blüthgen, 1923; and H. semilaevis Blüthgen, 1923. A total of 48 species of the genus are found in Eastern Siberia and the Far East of Russia. E. apristus (Vachal), E. briseis (Ebmer), and E. laevoides (Ebmer) are recorded for the first time from Russia; E. albipes (Fabricius), E. fratellus (Pérez), and E. vulsus (Vachal), from Mongolia (Töv); E. affinis (Smith), from South Korea (Gyeonysangnam); E. hoffmanni (Strand), from Japan (Honshu). A key to all species (except for species of the subgenus Prosopalictus) is given; it is provided with figures of the male genitalia. The annotated list of these species includes the data for each species on its synonymy, general distribution, published records from the above regions, and the material examined.
