A learning management system (LMS) is needed to carry out teaching assistance programs, especially evaluations. This program aims to train teachers at partner schools in using the LMS so that they can assist students in teaching assistance programs. This activity is carried out in training where teachers are trained to use LMS. Partners of this activity are junior and senior high schools in Central Sulawesi Province. The instruments used are observation sheets and interviews. From the observations, it is known that teachers can make good use of the LMS-based evaluation application designed by the service team. The results of the interviews reinforce this, where the teacher does not experience difficulties in using the assessment application for students in the teaching assistant program because it is equipped with clear instructions.

Introduction: Learning management system is one of the most effective methods in teaching and learning The present study aims to identify and categorize effective factors on the effectiveness of this system from students' point of view. Methods: The present study uses exploratory and '' Q method'. The study participants were Students of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in academic year 2016-2017. According to the Q methodology, a small sample of participants were selected based on the purposeful sampling method for the interview Accordingly, 42 statements were identified. Then, 25 students were selected for quantitative study based on the targeted method. Content validity was used to assess the validity of the content and to evaluate reliability; Cronbach's alpha test was used. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 20 software. Result: The results showed that a good learning management system should have 42 characteristics from students' point of view. These characteristics led to the identification of six mental patterns, including; ease of use, accessibility, individual attention, positive attitude, independent learning, and usefulness. Conclusion: The effectiveness of a learning management system should be continuously evaluated from the point of view of its stakeholders. Therefore the six identified mental models in the present study are suggested as a guide and a model for designing and improving the quality of the learning management system in medical universities.

Learning pattern of Islamic higher education, especially in Indonesia, is generally dominated by conventional learning with teacher-centered approach in which learning process focuses on the lectures, not on the students. As a result, the students tend to be passive and poor of creativity, less capable of arguing, trying, and appreciating science. Considering this reality, it is a necessity to make some efforts of reconstructing that learning pattern. One of them is doing bench-marking against universities in Australia, like Melbourne University. Therefore, this study focuses on learning management system of Melbourne University in relation to the development of learning quality. The result of the study shows that learning strategy developed at Melbourne University enhances student active learning through a variety of learning experiences, such as on-line discussion (collaborative learning), weekly readings, weekly exams, weekly assignments (independent learning), class presentation, and round table discussion. In addition, learning management system at Melbourne University has been running well along with an integrated system of ICT that enables the lecturers to communicate their courses and enables the students to interact dynamically with the tasks, lectures, and other students. It is expected that this can be an inspiration and alternative model for Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia in designing their learning pattern and environment to promote active learning.
