Over the past decade, wireless communication technologies have developed significantly for intelligent applications in road transport. This paper provides an overview of telecommunications-based intelligent transport systems with a focus on ensuring system safety and resilience. In vehicle-to-everything, these problems are extremely acute due to the specifics of the operation of transport networks, which requires the use of special protection mechanisms. In this regard, it was decided to use blockchain as a system platform to support the needs of transport systems for secure information exchange. This paper describes the technological aspects of implementing blockchain technology in vehicle-to-network; the features of such technology are presented, as well as the features of their interaction.

This paper describes the technological aspects of implementing blockchain technology in vehicle-to-network; the features of such technology are presented, as well as the features of their interaction. The authors considered various network characteristics and identified the parameters that have a primary impact on the operation of the vehicle-to-network (V2N) network when implementing the blockchain. In the paper, an experiment was carried out that showed the numerical characteristics for the allocation of resources on devices involved in organizing V2N communication and conclusions were drawn from the results of the study.

The article presents the concept of implementing a network of average speed measurements in the West Pomeranian. The author focused on solutions of Intelligent Transport Systems to improve the safety of road transport. The first part of the article discusses the state of road traffic safety in the West Pomeranian. In the next part, the solutions of Intelligent Transport Systems used to record the speed of road vehicles and the method of data recording and processing were discussed. In the third part, the accident maps and the locations of the stored sectional speed measurements were analysed, on the basis of which the proposition of places for the implementation of the network of average speed measurements was created due to the high accident rate.

The paper presents the results of comparative studies of the transport management application blockchain technology. The accuracy of the use Quick Road System (QRS) in intelligent transport systems (ITS) may be the service of getting free passage is shown. This service is aimed at creation of decentralized network of road lane sharing in real time. Based on model studies it was found that, depending If a driver is in a hurry or wants to get priority in using the speed lane, then, having established a special status, he shares his place in the lane with other vehicles moving along the same route by exchanging incentives through the blockchain with other private car owners. The paper estimates the probability of with the development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, the number of connected devices in ITS is growing extremely fast. Therefore, the optimal use of large arrays of collected data is the main focus of research and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is one of the most targeted branches of integration of the existing IoT technologies with the growing transport needs in order to solve the problem of intellectual traffic.

Intelligent transport systems (ITSs) play a key role in people's daily activities. ITSs significantly improve mobility offering a variety of services to a vast number of users that increase on a daily basis, as more and new services are introduced. These services are based on advanced information and communication technologies (ICTs) and rely strongly on connectivity and computing resources. However, technical vulnerabilities of the technologies used in ITS, as well as the increase in users' awareness has brought security and privacy concerns to the forefront. This article aims at identifying a set of privacy concepts that provide the bases for designing trustworthy ITS services identifying possible threats and users' privacy concerns. A key contribution of the article is a roadmap that presents in detail how for every ITS function corresponding to privacy concepts can be realized for overcoming specific threats and users' privacy concerns in a smart city context.

Abstract Extension of European Union causes increase of free transfer of people and goods. At the same time they raised the problems associated with the transport, e.g. congestion and related accidents on roads, air traffic delays and more. To increase the efficiency and safety of transport, the European Commission supports the introduction of intelligent transport systems and services in all transport sectors. Implementation of intelligent transport systems and services in the road transport reduces accident frequency, increases the capacity of existing infrastructure and reduces congestions. Use of toll systems provides resources needed for the construction and operation of a new road network, improves public transport, cycling transport and walking transport, and also their multimodal integration with individual car transport.

Transport telematics systems integrate information technology with telecommunications for the purposes of transport systems. This helps to improve the safety of vehicles and facilities involved in transport tasks. At the same time, the efficiency of using transport infrastructure and means of transport increases. The development and use of specialised IT applications that use data from transport telematics systems helped to create Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Currently, in Poland (in Europe and in the world), more and more advanced services offered by Intelligent Transport Systems are being developed and implemented. It is particularly relevant in road transport, especially because Poland’s road safety is insufficient compared to other European countries. The article presents the authors’ proposed indicators and criteria that can be used for assessing ITS services in the context of road safety. The authors conducted analyses to study the application of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), if ITS services were to be used to improve road safety. Then, it will be possible to choose one solution from all the assessed ones.
