The design background of Furniture Center at Juwiring is due to many of furniture craftmen that spread over in Juwiring. There is no center place to make furniture exhibition at Juwiring, it makes craftsmen have difficulty in marketing, and so do the consumer that have difficulty in search for information of furniture from Juwiring. The issue of design are: how to appear the image of a building that has a characteristic of Juwiring to be an attractive tourism destination at Juwiring. The method used is Defamiliarisasi method from Architectural Regionalism theory. The analysis design begins with gathering the potential of characteristic Juwiring, then decomposing to architectural building components. The result are design concept of furniture centers with facilities and infrastructure as a tourism destination. The concept of the building shows the characteristic of Juwiring which comes from the decomposition potential forms around Juwiring like joglo, pendhapa, Juwiring’s umbrella, and Prambanan.

Keywords: Appearance Building, Juwiring’s Characteristic, Furniture Craftsmen at Juwiring, Regionalism Architecture, Tourism Destination.

Modified Cassava Flour (MOCAF) which has been produced by small industries has a particle size that is not yet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), so the quality needs to be improved using a sieving machine. The objectives of this study are 1) to analyze the design requirements of the sieving machine 2) to determine the design concept 3) to analyze the technique 4) to design the sieving device in the engineering drawing. The method used in this research is observation, interview and French design method. Based on the results of the needs analysis, it was found that the design concept of the MOCAF sieve tool that uses an electric motor, is easy to operate, is in accordance with the production capacity, has an SNI size mesh and the material used is affordable. The results of the morphological analysis show that the design concept that can be developed is the design concept 1. The results of the technical analysis show that the linear velocity of the belt is 5.58 m / s and the tensile stress at T1 is 0.23 MPa. The dimensions obtained based on the design results are 5 cm pulley length, 99 x 59 x 10 cm mesh dimension, 100 mesh size and 108 x 80 x 95 cm machine frame dimensions. Keywords: analysis, design, MOCAF, morphology, sieving

This paper presents the analysis, design, and preliminary testing of a prototype prosthetic foot for use in India. A concept consisting of a rigid structure with rotational joints at the ankle and metatarsal with rotational stiffnesses provided by springs is discussed. Because literature suggests that prosthetic feet that exhibit roll-over shapes similar to that of physiological feet allow more symmetric gait, the joint stiffnesses were optimized to obtain the best fit between the roll-over shape of the prototype and of a physiological foot. Using a set of published gait data for a 56.7 kg subject, the optimal stiffness values for roll-over shape that also permit the motion required for natural gait were found to be 9.3 N·m/deg at the ankle and 2.0 N·m/deg at the metatarsal. The resulting roll-over shape has an R2 value of 0.81 when compared with the physiological roll-over shape. The prototype was built and tested in Jaipur, India. Preliminary qualitative feedback from testing was positive enough to warrant further development of this design concept.

Abstract This paper proposes a new system design methodology called the Cost-Specification Analysis. The method seeks to satisfy both target cost and required functionality simultaneously. The method assumes that the worth of a product’s structure such as a main system, a sub-system, an assembly and a part, or its specifications is proportional to its degree of contribution to fulfill the customer needs. The paper first presents systematic procedure to allocate the importance of the “Voice of the Customer” to product’s structures and their specifications. The Cost-Specification Analysis evaluates design concept candidates based on the target cost of a structure calculated from its worth, and the target specifications. The design concept that satisfies both the target cost and the specifications should lead to larger customer satisfaction and financially successful product. The design concept selection of a particle beam control system in linear accelerator serves as an illustrative example.

This project was undertaken to provide design specifications for a mixed initiative system, MIQSTURE, that is applicable to Army tactical information processing. After undertaking a requirements analysis, design specifications were developed for MIQSTURE to accomplish three major functional goals: user interface subsystem adaptivity, user learning support, and task state sensitivity. The features incorporated in the MIQSTURE design concept to achieve these goals are described.

Teaching materials are developed based on the characteristics of students, so that the specified competencies can be achieved. In general, students' problem solving abilities are still very low, students have not been able to understand the problem, so it is constrained in determining the mathematical problem solving model. This study aims to describe the validity, effectiveness, and response of students to Problem Based Learning-based teaching materials that are problem-solving skills developed. This research is a development research using ADDIE models namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects in this study were 23 students of Meureubo High School 1 in class Mia2 as many as 23 students. The research instruments were validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and tests. From the results of the trials, in the first and second trials obtained teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning that were developed effectively in terms of 70% of students taking the test of problem solving skills obtained a minimum score of 75 and achievement of learning completeness 75% problem solving ability tests and positive responses for Problem Based Learning based teaching materials for problem solving abilities developed.

IPA Integrated is a place for students to study themselves and the surrounding environment applied in daily life. Integrated IPA Learning provides a direct experience to students through the use and development of scientific skills and attitudes. The importance of integrated IPA requires to pack learning well, integrated IPA integration with the preparation of modules combined with learning strategy can maximize the learning process in school. In SMP 209 Jakarta, the value of the integrated IPA is obtained from 34 students there are 10 students completed and 24 students are not complete because they get the value below the KKM of 68. This research is a development study with the development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The use of KPS-based integrated IPA modules (Science Process sSkills) on the theme of rainbow phenomenon obtained by media expert validation results with an average score of 84.38%, average material expert 82.18%, average linguist 75.37%. So the average of all aspects obtained by 80.55% is worth using and tested to students. The results of the teacher response obtained 88.69% value with excellent criteria. Student responses on a small scale acquired an average score of 85.19% with highly agreed criteria and on the large-scale student response gained a yield of 86.44% with very agreed criteria. So the module can be concluded receiving a good response by the teacher and students.
