Disassembly is a vital step in any treatment stream of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), preventing hazardous and toxic chemicals and materials from damaging the ecosystem. However, the large variations and uncertainties in WEEE is a major limitation to the implementation of automation and robotics in this field. Therefore, the advancement of robotic and automation intelligence to be flexible in handling a variety of situations in WEEE disassembly is sought after. This paper presents an ontology-based cognitive method for generating actions for the disassembly of WEEE, with a focus on LCD monitors, handling uncertainties throughout the disassembly process. The system utilizes reasoning about relationships between a typical LCD monitor product, component features, common fastener types, and actions that the system is capable of, to determine 4 key stages of robotic disassembly: component identification, fastener identification, disassembly action generation, and identification of disassembly extent. Further uncertainties in the form of possible failure of action execution is reasoned about to provide new actions, and any unusual scenarios that result in incorrect reasoning outputs are rectified with user-demonstration as a last resort. The proposed method is trialed for the disassembly of LCD monitors and a product unknown to the system, in the form of a DVD-ROM drive.

Abstract Remanufacturing has received increasing attention for environmental protection and resource conservation considerations. Disassembly is a crucial step in remanufacturing, is always done manually which is inefficient while robotic disassembly can improve the efficiency of the disassembly. Aiming at the problem of product connector recognition during the robotic disassembly process, we analyze the template matching and feature matching principles based on two-dimensional images. To reduce the computational complexity of traditional template matching, a stepwise search strategy combining coarse and fine is proposed. Based on this a product connector recognition algorithm based on fast template matching and a product connector recognition algorithm based on feature matching is designed. Taking bolts and hexagon nuts as examples, the recognition effects of the two algorithms are compared and analyzed.

Abstract E-waste amount is growing at about 4% annually, and has become the fastest growing waste stream in the industrialized world. Over 50 million tons of e-waste are produced globally each year, and some of them end up in landfills causing danger of toxic chemicals leakage over time. E-waste is also sent to developing countries where informal processing of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) causes serious health and pollution problems. A huge interest in recovery of valuable metals from WEEE is clearly visible in a great number of scientific, popular scientific publications or government and industrial reports.

Abstract This paper presents the application of robotics for the disassembly of electric vehicle lithium-ion battery (LIB) packs for the purpose of recycling. Electric vehicle battery systems can be expensive and dangerous to disassemble, therefore making it cost inefficient to recycle them currently. Dangers associated with high voltage and thermal runaway make a robotic system suitable for this task, as the danger to technicians or workers is significantly reduced, and the cost to operate a robotic system would be potentially less expensive over the robots lifetime. The proposed method allows for the automated or semi-automated disassembly of electric vehicle LIB packs for the purpose of recycling. In order to understand the process, technicians were studied during the disassembly process, and the modes and operations were recorded. Various modes of interacting with the battery module were chosen and broken down into gripping and cutting operations. Operations involving cutting and gripping were chosen for experimentation, and custom end of arm tooling was designed for use in the disassembly process. Path planning was performed offline in both MATLAB/Simulink and ROBOGUIDE, and the simulation results were used to program the robot for experimental validation.

Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), is an important basic part of Electric and Electronic Equipment, which has lots of high-value components and toxic substances. Normally, when Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) is scraped, some components on waste PCBA still keep good performances. Therefore, it is feasible and economical to environment-friendly reuse the high-value components on waste PCBA. In order to guarantee the quality of the disassembled components, the components reuse-oriented disassembly process is proposed, in which the mechanical and physical characteristics of solder and the joint type of PCBA are considered comprehensively. In the process, through the analysis and measurement of the temperature distribution of PCBA, the optimized heating mode and heating temperature curve can be drawn up for the different joint type of PCBA. For getting the disassembly mode of PCBA, the disassembly force and separating displacement of components on PCBA are defined and the disassembly energy models for different kinds of components are set up. On the basis of the heating mode, heating temperature curve and disassembly energy, two kinds of disassembly apparatus and a performance testing procedure for certain kinds of old components are developed. In the end the components reuse-oriented disassembly process parameters are optimized to get a high separation ratio and reuse ration of components with orthogonal test.

Exposure to drugs and toxic chemicals, during late pregnancy, is a common occurrence in childbearing women. Some studies have reported that more than 90% of pregnant women use at least 1 prescription; of this, 60% used more than one. Another study indicated that 80% of the consumed drugs were not prescribed, and of this figure, 95% were “over-the-counter” drugs. Acetaminophen, the safest of all over-the-counter drugs, has been reported to induce fetal liver necrosis in man and animals and to have abortifacient and embryocidal action in mice. This study examines the degree to which acetaminophen affects the neonatal liver and kidney, when a fatty diet is simultaneously fed to the mother during late pregnancy.Timed Swiss Webster female mice were gavaged during late pregnancy (days 16-19) with fat suspended acetaminophen at a high dose, HD = 84.50 mg/kg, and a low dose, LD = 42.25 mg/kg; a control group received fat alone.

Education is a conscious and systematic effort not only to humanize human beings but also for human beings to realize their position as khalifatullah fil ardhi, which in turn will increasingly increase itself to be a pious, faithful, knowledgeable and virtuous man. In general the problems formulated in this research is whether Implementation of Contextual Learning with Learning Community approach can improve student's motivation and achievement in FIQH study field? How Implementation of Contextual Learning has a Learning Community approach that can improve students' motivation and achievement in FIQH? Field. This research was conducted in Mojokerto Regency, precisely at MI Mambaul Hidayah Mengelo Sooko Mojokerto. This research is a classroom action research with collaborative type. This research phase follows a model developed by Kemmis and Taggart, which is a spiral cycle that includes planning activities, action execution, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used are: (1) observation; (2) measurement of learning result test; and (3) documentation. Data obtained from the action are then analyzed. Qualitative data consisting of observation and documentation are analyzed qualitatively, while data collected in the form of numbers or quantitative data, simply by using descriptive analysis and visual presentation. Based on the results of research that has been implemented can be concluded that the Implementation of Contextual Learning with Learning Community approach can improve student's motivation and achievement in the field of FIQH study. From the data in the field shows that there is an increase in student learning motivation that the initial average value of pre-test of 20 increased to 24 or about 20% in cycle I, in cycle II more increased to 31 or about 55%, and in cycle III the more increased to 45 or about 125%. Level of increase between cycle I with cycle II about 29%, between cycle II with cycle III about 45%, between cycle III with cycle I about 87%. With the increase of students' learning motivation, their learning achievement also increased, whereas the average value of pre test of 6.60 increased to 6.84 or about 4% in cycle I, in cycle II more increased again to 7.75 or about 17 %, and in cycle III it increases to 8.80 or about 35%. The level of improvement between cycle I with cycle II is about 13%, between cycle II with cycle III about 15%, between cycle III with cycle I about 30%.
