The Enterprise Asset Management Association (EAM Association) is pleased to announce the completion of the second book of the two-part edition on the methodology for managing equipment failures. While the first part dealt with the issues of investigation and accounting, the second, being its logical continuation, offers theoretical understanding and practical tools for the analysis and prevention of failures. Here are a few words from the authors of the book. Sidorov V.A.: «I have devoted several years of my working life directly to the investigation of equipment failures, automation of their accounting and standardization of analysis procedures, as well as to production training, including in the framework of improvement measures implementation. And now I will be happy to share my knowledge and experience with you, colleagues!» Sidorov A.V.: «It is important for everyone who, due to their professional activity, is faced with equipment failures not only to know, but also to understand what, how, in what sequence occurred and what to do about it. This is exactly what this manual is about.» Consideration of these issues in the book is based on a comprehensive vision of the process of managing production assets and a systematic approach and is accompanied by a wide illustrative material, a description of practical methods and tools that are recommended for implementation in the conditions of industrial enterprises. Cases from the authors' experience are provided to ensure the best understanding and assimilation of the equipment failure management methodology as an important element of the enterprise asset management system. The purpose of this paper is the development of a methodical approach to management of the parameters of the life cycle of innovations. This approach ensures the increase of the efficiency of economic activity by intensifying the processes of innovative development of industrial enterprises. As a result of the research, the features of the processes for implementing the life cycle of innovations were determined; the system of criteria for assessing the efficiency of management of the parameters of the life cycle of innovations was developed; a management model for the parameters of the life cycle of innovations was formed; and a management mechanism for the life cycle of innovations in a saturated market was developed.

The task of improving the system of accounting and analysis of accidents at industrial enterprises for many years has not lost its relevance both in Kazakhstan and abroad. Identification of the root causes of accidents is an important stage for the development and implementation of preventive and adaptive measures to reduce the risk of injuries to employees of enterprises. The article analyzes the characteristics of the indicators of industrial injuries, which are result — oriented (after the fact) — lagging and process-oriented (forecast) - leading. Lagging indicators are a retrospective description of the state of labor protection at a production facility, while advancing indicators characterize already completed or current actions and predict the result of the productivity of measures. The expediency of using leading indicators for predictive assessment of the state of industrial safety and, as a result, the development of a systematic approach to minimizing the number of incidents is justified. Keywords: injuries, accidents, injury analysis, injury indicators, causes of injuries, agriculture.

Facial analysis is a critical skill in the pre- as well as post-operative assessment of patients undergoing facial surgery. A successful approach is based on familiarity of normal anatomy, its clinical variance, and developing a systematic approach. In an an effort to develop a comprehensive and methodical approach, we have segregated out nasal elements from facial analysis. Progressive skill refinement requires a combination of foundational anatomy, a critical eye for facial harmony, and routine practice. This review contains 8 figures and 9 references Keywords: nasal analysis, facial analysis, Fitzpatrick, dental occlusion, cephalometrics, MRD-1, MRD-2, chin position, nasal tip projection

Given the domination of bank financing, nonperforming debts (NPDs) in large Chinese enterprises are a proxy for nonperforming loans (NPLs) in China's major banks. Using a firm-level survey of more than 20,000 large and medium-sized industrial enterprises conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, this paper estimates both the level and ratio of NPDs across ownership type, industry, and region for the period 1995–2002. The results show that NPD ratios have been falling since 2000 as a result of the rapid expansion of better-performing non-state enterprises (NSEs), the improved performance of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and the exit of poor-performing enterprises (which has been facilitated by asset management companies and other merger and acquisition activities). SOEs, however, are still much more likely than NSEs to generate NPDs. This paper provides useful tools and sector information for assessing enterprise debt risks and draws lessons for banking reform in China.

The article is devoted to dynamic capabilities manifestation issues as a mechanism for implementing the potential of an industrial enterprise. In this context, a methodical approach to managing the industrial enterprises potential is formed, the basis of which are dynamic capabilities indicators. The emphasis on the human factor is made as a basis for the development of dynamic capabilities. The issue of "weak signals" comprehension and detection in the role of organizational changes markers is investigated. Different models of change markers work and study, their role in mutual understanding of people and enterprises are considered. The active and accurate detection of these markers changes allows us to interfere into the processes course, adjusting them with the smallest consumption of forces, material, mental and spiritual resources. The algorithm for an industrial enterprise potential managing is constructed according to the criterion of dynamic capabilities, taking into account markers of organizational changes. The method of an industrial enterprise dynamic capabilities quantitative assessment is developed on the interaction of the dynamic capabilities level and their co-care with weak signals degree. Unlike existing ones, based solely on expert estimates, the proposed method uses statistical data, which allows you to get more objective result. The external weak signals environment changes predicting method using nonlinear dynamics tools, which allows you to identify the most significant organizational markers, to predict changes in the environment and take into account these changes in the process of strategic decisions acceptance. Methodological approach implementation allows an industrial enterprise to take preventive decisions that allow you to store and increase competitive advantages. The obtained research results practical significance is the possibility of using the developed methods in the context of making a strategy for managing the industrial enterprise potential in response to rapid environment changes. Obtained results build the principles of the organizational and economic mechanism for ensuring the effective use of the potential of industrial enterprises in the implementation of domestic economy development European vector.
