This study explored (a) pre-service teachers’ knowledge structure on teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) reading using concept mapping in a language pedagogy course, (b) the characteristics of concept maps drawn, and (c) the relationship between concept mapping and the course achievement scores. The participants were 14 pre-service teachers majoring in English language education at a university in Hong Kong. The data sources included assessments of concept maps and final exam scores. The overall research findings reveal the educational potential of integrating concept maps as a diagnostic and predictive assessment tool in teacher education programs.

In the article, it is shown that mental performance can be used to predict the degree of tension in track and field students under the influence of emotional stress associated with passing the exam. During the exams, there was a decrease in the statokinetic stability of the students' body, which led to an increase in erroneous answers of students and a decrease in the indicators of mental performance and work productivity, which remained reduced even a week after the end of the exam. The work also shows that a decrease in statokinetic stability is a factor of destabilization of the optimal level of mental performance and productivity of performing cognitive tasks.

Objective: Modification of trends in the development of railway transport with the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies that are optimal for predictive assessment of the activities of a transport organization. Methods: The key logical methods of cognition – analysis and synthesis – are used. Results: The scientific background related to the digitalization of the transport industry has been studied with the help of fundamental research, data from the Federal State Statistics Service, and the SPARK information resource. The necessity of introducing intelligent technologies to optimize transportation time and reduce costs has been determined. The main directions of application of intelligent technologies in railway transport are systematized, taking into account the strategic target direction of the industry. Practical importance: The main findings can be used in forecasting business processes using various digital technologies and tools

Abstract The results of long-term studies of natural gases in the Bukhara-Khiva oil and gas region of Uzbekistan are summarized. The results of studying the composition of gases in hydrocarbon deposits generated by OM of continental (terrigenous deposits of the Cretaceous and Middle Jurassic) and marine (carbonate Jurassic) facies are presented. Regularities of changes in individual constituents of gases (hydrocarbons, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, etc.) with depth are considered; the influence exerted on the composition of gases by various factors and, above all, those of them, which, in the opinion of most researchers, are the main ones. The revealed patterns are used for predictive assessment of the distribution of various constituents of natural gases in the study area.

This study departs from asset growth in Islamic banks which has decreased in the last four years even though assets have increased every year. This research is structured to be the basis for making policies to increase the growth of assets of Islamic banks. The research design used is quantitative with the help of smart PLS ver.3.3. The number of samples is 94 people from a population of 123 employees of Islamic Banks Serang and Cilegon Branch Offices with supervisory positions and above. The sample selection in this study uses probability sampling, so that all branch offices of Islamic banks in Cilegon and Serang as well as all supervisory work units have the same opportunity to be selected as samples. The results indicate that the ones that have the biggest influence in increasing the growth of Islamic bank assets are the financing to deposit ratio and non-performing financing. This can be seen from the path coefficient value resulting from this study between financing to deposit ratio on asset growth has a coefficient value of 2.818 and non-performing financing on asset growth has a coefficient value of 3.767. Thus, both financing to deposit ratio and non-performing financing influence increasing the growth of assets of Islamic banks. The results of this study emphasize to bankers to maintain the quality of financing to remain smooth and avoid non-performing financing.

Abstract: Introduction. The development and improvement of mechanisms for assessing and predicting occupational injuries, both in the short term and for a long period of time, is a key task in the field of occupational safety for each branch of economic activity. Aim is to determine the list of the most characteristic initial data and parameters for predictive assessment of occupational injuries and accidents of various severity. Research methods. Comparative analysis of various models for assessing and predicting injuries is carried out. Based on the methods of expert analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of each of the methodological approaches are evaluated and the most characteristic initial data for predictive assessment of occupational injuries are highlighted. Results. Necessity of taking into account the complexity of the causes of accidents is established and the most common parameters that are used as initial data for predicting accidents of various severity are determined, which include: profession, employee training, level of training, age, length of service, number of violations.
