This study examines the effect of e-service quality and perceived price fairness on customer loyalty with the intervening role of customers’ satisfaction in the online shopping site in Indonesia. The research method uses a quantitative research design with a survey model. The sample used in this study is Lazada consumers which consists of five large cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tanggerang, and Bekasi City) and have done online shopping site at Lazada at least once in the last six months. The object of this research were the 200 customer respondents who had made purchases on the largest online shopping site platform of Indonesia, Lazada. Data analysis was done by using SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that: first, the e-service quality and perceived price fairness affect customer satisfaction positively. Second, there is a mediating effect of customer satisfaction on the relationship between e-service quality and perceived price fairness on customer loyalty. Third, e-service quality and perceived price fairness directly affect customer loyalty positively but insignificantly. The result implies that the role of customer satisfaction is significant in creating loyalty. In the online shopping site a  good quality and perception about price could positively influence customers but not necessarily form loyalty.

Design/methodology/approach The authors have collected data from customers of the hospitality industry of significant cities of Pakistan using 362 structured questionnaires. Structural equation modelling was used to find out moderated mediation between innovation in service quality and customer loyalty in the hospitality industry for potential entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry. Findings The results showed that the role of customer satisfaction as a mediator and the role of perceived price fairness as a moderator between service quality and customer loyalty is statistically significant. Customers are influenced by price, and it leads to their satisfaction in the hospitality industry. Research limitations/implications The results of this study can be used by managers of the restaurant industry to enhance customer loyalty by focusing on customer satisfaction and perceived price. The variables involved in this study were perceived service quality, perceived product quality, perceived price fairness, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. Samples of this study were customers of the local fast food restaurant in Yogyakarta. Quantitative method is used to analyze the relationships within variables. This research examined 200 respondents by spreading the online questionnaires that were analyzed by using Structural Equation Model method. To collect the data, this study used convenience sampling method. The results show that perceived service quality, perceived product quality, and perceived price fairness had a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction. Also, perceived service quality, perceived product quality, and perceived price fairness had a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty. Finally, customer satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty. This research aims to identify the role of involvement as a moderating variable in the model of customer loyality. The population in this study is the Xiaomi smartphone users in Yogyakarta. Data is collected through survey method that is guided by questionnaire. The data samples are 200 respondents to eligible the data analysis by structural equation modeling. The results indicate that the involvement moderates the effect of perceived quality, perceived price and after-sales service towards customer satisfaction.. Besides, the result is the involvement moderates the effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. The results are used to develop strategies to effectively increase customer loyalty by designing a stimulus to increase customer loyalty considering the level of customer involvement.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the influential factors of customer loyalty to Islamic banks, namely, service quality, customer satisfaction, customer engagement and religiosity. Design/methodology/approach This study is a survey of 335 Islamic bank customers in West Sumatra, Indonesia. This research deployed purposive sampling and analyzed the data by using covariance-based structural equation modeling. Findings Service quality has a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction. Religiosity has a significant and negative moderating impact on the service quality–customer satisfaction relationship. Service quality has no significant influence on customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction is a significant antecedent of customer engagement and loyalty. Finally, customer engagement has a significant and positive effect on customer loyalty. Research limitations/implications This study is a combination of cross-sectional and a single-country case. Accordingly, the results may not be representative of other countries. Similar studies in longitudinal data collection are conducted in other countries (e.g. ASEAN countries), which would therefore be worthwhile. Some antecedents of customer loyalty have been neglected in this study (e.g. customer value co-creation and customer commitment); hence, the future study may investigate those factors. Practical implications By considering these Islamic banks’ antecedents, the Islamic banks might enhance their customer loyalty. Also, this study has revealed the moderating role of religiosity in a loyalty relationship. Therefore, it will give insights for the Islamic bank managers in decision-making. Originality/value This study has revealed the moderating role of religiosity on the link between service quality and customer satisfaction in Islamic banks, which is, to the authors’ knowledge, neglected in the previous studies. The customers with high religiosity will have a higher standard of satisfaction and demand a better service quality than the customers with low religiosity. This study has also examined the relationships between service quality, religiosity, customer satisfaction, customer engagement and loyalty as a whole, which have been limited previously.

Customer loyalty plays a crucial role in firms performance. Over the last three decades the antecedents of customer loyalty in the service sector have attracted great interest by academics and practitioners alike. This study has two key objectives. First, we investigate how image perceptions, service quality and customer satisfaction contribute to customer loyalty. The results show that the organizational image customers hold of the service provider and perceived service quality have a similarly strong relationship with customer loyalty. Moreover, both, service quality and organizational image are significantly and positively correlated with customer satisfaction. The findings highlight that it is in particular through the formation of customer satisfaction that service quality and organizational impact customer loyalty. Thus, we can demonstrate that customer satisfaction has a mediating effect between external and interactive marketing initiatives and the development of customer loyalty. Second, we investigate the role of switching costs in the development of customer loyalty. The findings indicate that perceived switching costs, here assessed in terms of price sensitivity, have by far the strongest, positive and direct impact on customer loyalty in comparison to the other antecedents included in the model. The importance of switching costs is further corroborated with the finding that switching costs moderate the link between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to identify the drivers of loyalty model in the coffee shop industry in Indonesia based on service quality, store atmosphere and price fairness mediated by customer satisfaction.Design/methodology/approachThe sample size used for this study was 384 customers from 16 most comfortable coffee shops in Jakarta based on Nibble's survey. Confirmatory factor analysis was employed to confirm the attributes of each factor and to assess the validity and reliability, average variance extracted and composite reliability was applied. Further hypothesis testing was performed using structural equation modeling.FindingsThe result shows that customer loyalty is affected by service quality – comprising 5 subdimensions: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy – and price fairness mediated by customer satisfaction. It was found that service quality plays a significant role in the coffee shop industry in Indonesia. However, the store atmosphere was found rejected.Originality/valueThis is the first study integrating service quality, store atmosphere, price fairness and customer satisfaction to study the customer loyalty model in the coffee shop industry in Jakarta.
