PurposeAlthough many studies show that self-efficacy and continuance intention of Web 2.0 platforms are positively and significant correlated, others reveal some different findings. To clarify this line of research, this study further investigates the effect of self-efficacy on continuance intention and meanwhile examines some moderating variables in this process.Design/methodology/approachA meta-analysis method was employed to examine the literature containing quantitative measurements of both self-efficacy and continuance intention of Web 2.0 platforms. A total of 31 effects sizes (N = 9,084) were reviewed.FindingsThe results indicate medium-sized positive correlation between self-efficacy and continuance intention of Web 2.0 platforms. Further moderation analysis shows that such medium-sized link differed across measures of Web 2.0 platform types, target respondent differences and gender of participants. Specifically, this correlation is largest for transaction-socialization platforms and smallest for experience-socialization platforms. For university-student respondents, the role of self-efficacy in affecting continuance intention is less important than general members of Web 2.0 platforms. Finally, as the percentage of female participants increases, a weaker effect size will be observed.Originality/valueThis study clarifies empirical research regarding users' self-efficacy and their continuance intention. Meanwhile, sources of inter-study variability have been identified by addressing moderator variables in the relationship between self-efficacy and continuance intention of Web 2.0 platforms, which provides directions for future explorations in this area.

This study aims to examine the effect of the utilization of information technology, training and obedience to regulation on the implementation of SAKIP and examine the effect of SAKIP implementation on managerial performance as well as the influence of the role of self efficacy and intellect in the relationship between impelementation of SAKIP and managerial performance. Tests were conducted on 93 respondents representing 67 percent of the population. The group of respondents are structural officials of echelon  II, III and IV in the scope of West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government who have role in the planning, implementation and management of Regional Income Budget and Expenditure (APBD) through the implementation of SAKIP. The hypothesis testing used Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The result of this research shows that the utilization of information technology and training have significant effect on the implementation of SAKIP but not influenced by obedience to the regulation, the implementation of SAKIP has an effect on managerial performance but self efficacy and intellect can not strengthen the relationship between SAKIP implementation and managerial performance. Based on the findings of this research, the operation of e-SAKIP and training conducted in a structured and sustainable manner plays an important role in improving the quality of SAKIP implementation so as to provide relevant and objective information to managers in order to improve the performance of government organizations.

Homelessness remains a national concern impacting the lives of many individuals and families. We examined the relationships among participating school counselors’ self-reported multicultural self-efficacy, empathy, training, and knowledge and skills supporting students experiencing homelessness. Results of a three-stage hierarchical multiple regression indicated that the most significant predictors of school counselors’ knowledge and skills were training and multicultural self-efficacy, respectively. We present implications for training programs, counselor educators, and practicing school counselors.

The neonatal nursing room in several hospitals in Indonesia has been widely disseminated about the application of developmental care but there are still many nurses who have not applied due to lack of nurse confidence (self efficacy is lacking). This study aims to identify the relationship between self efficacy factors and the application of developmental care by nurses in the neonate care unit. This study used cross sectional study design with 82 samples of nurses in neonate level I, II, III at two hospitals in RSAB Harapan Kita and RSPAD GatotSubroto. The instrument used is self-efficacy questionnaire and Indonesian translation instrument Universe develomental care (UDC). The data of this study were analyzed using bivariate analysis with independent T test. The result of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between the application of developmental care with self efficacy of neonate nurse with p = 0,017. The researcher suggests the institution of nursing services to be able to facilitate the provision of funds and training for increase skill and confidence self nurses in the neonate room.

Abstract. This study aimed to investigate the relationship of employee strengths use with thriving at work by proposing a moderated mediation model. Data were collected at two time points, spaced by a 2-week interval. A total of 260 medical staff completed strengths use, perceived humble leadership, self-efficacy, and thriving scales. The results of path analysis showed that strengths use is positively related to thriving, and self-efficacy mediates the relationship of strengths use with thriving. In addition, this study also found perceived humble leadership to positively moderate the direct relationship of strengths use with self-efficacy and the indirect relationship of strengths use with thriving via self-efficacy. This study contributes to a better understanding of how and when strengths use affects thriving.
