Abstract Process reuse technology has been widely studied and applied in manufacturing industry. However, the current NC process reuse generally assumes that the micro process is compatible with the macro process, but in fact, the reusable processes from the similar local structures of multiple parts are usually difficult to be compatible with each other under the overall manufacturing requirements of the query parts, which leads to the fact that a large amount of user interactions are still required for modification and adjustment in practical engineering applications, so it is not significant to improve the design efficiency. Therefore, an efficient NC process scheme generation method based on reusable macro and micro process fusion is proposed in this paper. Firstly, according to the calculation of semantic distance of process design intention, the micro processes are mapped to the macro process to realize the fusion of the macro process and the micro process, and a compatibility credibility evaluation model is established to evaluate the compatibility of fusion results. Then, when the fusion result is credible, the machining areas corresponding to the process scheme are adjusted and optimized from the geometric level. The adjustment and optimization of machining areas mainly realize the integration of machining areas and the optimization of machining sequence. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are verified by the test of actual parts.

Capital enrichment (CE) results from capital flows, which reflect the capital distribution among different regions and industries. This paper constructs the evaluation model of resource allocation efficiency from the perspective of capital and innovation resources. It expounds on CE’s theoretical mechanism by using the panel data from 2011 to 2018 for system GMM estimation. It finds that the manufacturing capital allocation efficiency (CAE) and innovation resource allocation efficiency (IRAE) show a volatile development trend. Both static and dynamic panel models show that there is a significant U-shaped curvilinear relationship between CE and CAE, CE and IRAE. CE’s inhibitory effect on CAE and IRAE decreases with the improvement of CE until it exceeds the critical value of 8.27 and 8.93. After that, its impact on CAE and IRAE changes from negative to positive.

Clearance exists in the joint of a mechanism because of the assemblage, manufacturing tolerances, wear, and other conditions, and it is a focus of research in the field of multibody dynamics. This study built a planar hydraulic rock-breaker model with multiple joint clearances by combining the hydraulic cylinder model, the clearance joints based on the Lankarani–Nikravesh contact force model, and the Lagrange multiplier method. Dynamic simulation results indicated that multiple clearance joints can degrade the dynamic responses of a rock-breaker model, which can be decomposed to rapid vibrations and slow movements. The rapid vibrations are excited by coupling the spring-mass system of hydraulic cylinder and clearances. The effects of the clearance size, input force, damping coefficient, and friction on the dynamic behaviour of the rock-breaker mechanism are also investigated. The friction could reduce the rapid vibration state significantly, which is feasible for practical engineering applications. As compared with the traditional models without clearances, the present model provides not only better predictions for the theoretical study of the hydraulic rock-breaker but also useful guidance for reducing the vibrations of the hydraulic rock-breaker in practical engineering applications.

The effects of electrode length on the characteristics of flow induced by an electrohydrodynamic (EHD) gas pump in circular pipe have been experimentally examined in this study. The gas pump has a diameter of 61.8 mm and uses eight evenly spaced emitting electrodes which are flush mounted on the tube inner wall. The gap distance between emitting and ground electrodes is fixed at 25 mm and two emitting electrode lengths (15 mm and 40 mm) are considered. Experiments are conducted using positive corona discharge with voltage varying from 17.5 kV to 23 kV. Several important implications from the present results for practical engineering applications are presented.

Combining with practical engineering, geometry optimization and engineering applications of transmission tower foundation in the slope is researched by using the finite-difference software FLAC3D. The variation of the pullout, vertical and horizontal ultimate bearing capacity with the diameter and length of the pile is analyzed. And optimization program of actual project is given. Research shows that when the pile length is constant, the variation of the pullout and vertical ultimate bearing capacity is increasing with the diameter increasing significantly and the horizontal ultimate bearing capacity is not significant. When the diameter is constant, the pullout, vertical and horizontal ultimate bearing capacity is increasing with the length increasing significantly. By analyzing nonlinear regression analysis of calculation data, the formula of the ultimate bearing capacity is carried out, which can consider the different pile diameters and lengths. When the gradient and distance of slopes is constant, the pullout, vertical and horizontal ultimate bearing capacity can be carried out with the formula, which can provide a reference to specification revision and engineering.

Sand lining teethed pile is a new prestressed pile, and it has been gradually spread and used in Kun Ming of Yun Nan Province, meanwhile, it has achieved better work in practical engineering applications. Compared with common prestressed smooth pile, the working mechanism that tooth of the pile combines with the sand lining of the pile makes bearing capacity and the play speed of bearing capacity have significantly improved. This paper builds a three-dimensional entity pile base model with Midas GTS and analyzes the work performance of two kinds of precast piles from pile settlement and soil displacement around pile aspects.
