The article shows the relevance of the industrial production of liquid sulfur dioxide, as well as the fields of its application. Herewith there is provided a brief description of the known methods for the production of liquid sulfur dioxide: the use of roast gas; sulfur-oleum method; multi-stage condensation; low temperature cryogenic process; oxidation of sulfur with oxygen under its stoichiometric deficiency. In the course of the analysis, the main shortcomings of the considered methods were identified, which made it possible to develop an innovative version of the process scheme. Based on the data obtained, JSC “NIUIF” has developed and patented a method for producing liquid sulfur dioxide, the main raw material of which is sulfur and oxygen under its stoichiometric deficiency. The principal difference of the proposed industrial scheme is the use of technical oxygen instead of air blast and the use of a sulfur furnace and a sulfur vapor condenser combined in one housing in the apparatus scheme. The proposed solution significantly reduces energy consumption and eliminates the possibility of liquid sulfur crystallizing inside the equipment. Therefore, this scheme can be considered more reliable and reasonable in comparison with the existing ones. Also, in the process scheme of the developed unit, the production of 1 ton of liquid sulfur dioxide consumes significantly less energy than in the existing technologies. To determine the design parameters of the equipment and master the processes, the article describes a lab unit for producing liquid sulfur dioxide, developed and already installed at JSC "NIUIF". At the moment, experiments are carried out at the facility for the purpose of adjusting the operation mode and collecting the physical and chemical process data.

Abstract Process reuse technology has been widely studied and applied in manufacturing industry. However, the current NC process reuse generally assumes that the micro process is compatible with the macro process, but in fact, the reusable processes from the similar local structures of multiple parts are usually difficult to be compatible with each other under the overall manufacturing requirements of the query parts, which leads to the fact that a large amount of user interactions are still required for modification and adjustment in practical engineering applications, so it is not significant to improve the design efficiency. Therefore, an efficient NC process scheme generation method based on reusable macro and micro process fusion is proposed in this paper. Firstly, according to the calculation of semantic distance of process design intention, the micro processes are mapped to the macro process to realize the fusion of the macro process and the micro process, and a compatibility credibility evaluation model is established to evaluate the compatibility of fusion results. Then, when the fusion result is credible, the machining areas corresponding to the process scheme are adjusted and optimized from the geometric level. The adjustment and optimization of machining areas mainly realize the integration of machining areas and the optimization of machining sequence. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are verified by the test of actual parts.

Abstract Design for remanufacturing process (DFRP) plays a key role in implementing remanufacturing because it directly affects the performance recovery of the End-of-Life (EoL) product. Since the used parts have various failure forms and defects, these make it hard to rapidly generate the remanufacturing process scheme for satisfying the performance demand of the used product. Moreover, remanufacturing process parameters are prone to conflicts during the process of implementing remanufacturing, this leads to the failure of the remanufacturing process. For accurately generating remanufacturing scheme and solving the conflicts, an integrated design method for remanufacturing process based on performance demand is proposed, which can reuse the historical remanufacturing process data for generating the remanufacturing process scheme. Firstly, for accurately describing the performance demand, the Kansei Engineering (KE) and Quality Functional Development (QFD) are applied to analyze the performance demand data and map the demand to the engineering features. Then, Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) is applied to inversely generate the remanufacturing process scheme rapidly for satisfying the performance demand by reusing the historical remanufacturing process data. Meanwhile, Theory of Constraint (TOC) and TRIZ are used to identify the conflicts of the remanufacturing process and resolve the conflicts for optimizing the remanufacturing process scheme. Finally, DFRP of the saddle guideway is taken as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, the result shows the design method can quickly and efficiently generate the remanufacturing process for the EoL guide rail.

In modern market conditions, any organization, including those engaged in the production of medical devices, must identify risks, carry out their analysis, and determine the degree of their influence on the achievement of goals. This forces enterprises, on the basis of standards for management systems, standards for risk management, including taking into account the specifics of organizations, to implement a risk-based approach, creating their own risk management mechanisms. The article presents and describes in detail the basis for the methodology of the risk management process scheme in the quality management system of an organization engaged in the field of medicine.
