Abstract Here, an impressive heterogeneous catalytic system, graphitic carbon nitride supported tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethanem) g-C3N4/ THAM) is presented. The novel g-C3N4/ THAM nanocatalysts was characterized by analyzing methods such as FT-IR, EDX, XRD, TGA, and FESEM. Afterward, the performance of fabricated nanocatalyst g-C3N4/ THAM was suitably investigated in multicomponent reactions (MCRs) for the synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridine and pyranopyrazole derivatives. By optimizing reported nanocatalyst, the corresponding reaction products were obtained with excellent efficiency and then the reversibility process was exanimated. The g-C3N4/ THAM nanocatalyst is environmentally friendly and was catalyzed the reactions in the presence of ethanol as a green solvent.

AbstractIn this work, graphitic carbon nitride-supported l-arginine (g-C3N4@l-arginine) nanocatalyst was synthesized and evaluated using FT-IR, EDX, XRD, TGA, and FESEM analyses. The performance of the prepared nanocatalyst was examined in the synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridine, 4H-chromene, and 2,3-dihydro quinazoline derivatives. The novel g-C3N4@l-arginine nanocatalyst showed high thermal stability, easy separation from reaction media, the capability to be used in various multicomponent reactions, and acceptable reusability.

A novel photocatalyst, AgCl loaded mesoporous graphitic carbon nitride (mpg-C3N4) in which silver chloride nanoparticles were introduced into the mesopores carbon nitride, was prepared by a dip-coating procedure. The as-prepared photocatalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, UV-visible spectrophotometry. The novel photocatalyst manifested a better photocatalytic activity than that of pure mpg-C3N4 for degradation of methyl orange.

In the present paper, we reported the preparation of Graphitic carbon nitride (GCN) nanotubes using porous anodic aluminium oxide membranes as templates through thermal condensation of cynamide at 500 °C. Structural analysis of synthesized nanotubes was systematically carried out by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and results confirmed the growth of GCN inside the nanochannels of anodic alumina templates. Optical features of GCN were carried out using UV visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence. PL analysis showed that a strong emission peak occurs in the wavelength range of 350–600 nm in blue region. Thermal behaviour of GCN was studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
