Der Umgang mit dem digitalen Nachlass ist eine Frage von zunehmender juristischer Bedeutung. Hat der Erblasser keine Vorkehrungen getroffen, so stellt sich aus strafrechtlicher Sicht etwa die Frage, ob sich E-Mail-Provider bei der Herausgabe von Zugangsdaten zu den E-Mail-Accounts des Erblassers strafbar machen. Eine Analyse einschlägiger Strafbestimmungen zeigt, dass eine allfällige Strafbarkeit der Provider grundlegend von der Erbenstellung determiniert wird und eine Strafbarkeit bei der Herausgabe von Zugangsdaten an Erben ausser Betracht fällt. -- L'administration de la succession numérique est une question juridique qui revêt une importance croissante. L'une des interrogations qui se pose est de savoir si les fournisseurs de comptes de messagerie E-mail sont passibles de poursuites pénales lorsqu'ils remettent les données d'accès des comptes du défunt, alors que ce dernier n'avait pris aucune disposition à ce sujet. Une analyse des dispositions pénales pertinentes montre que l'éventuelle responsabilité des fournisseurs est fondamentalement déterminée par le statut des héritiers et qu'elle est exclue lorsque les données d'accès sont remises à ces derniers.

The deleterious effect of post mortem degeneration results in a progressive loss of ultrastructural detail. This had led to reluctance (if not refusal) to examine autopsy material by means of transmission electron microscopy. Nevertheless, Johannesen has drawn attention to the fact that a sufficient amount of significant features may be preserved in order to enable the establishment of a definitive diagnosis, even on “graveyard” tissue.Routine histopathology of the autopsy organs of a woman of 78 showed the presence of a well circumscribed adenoma in the anterior lobe of the pituitary. The lesion came into close apposition to the pars intermedia. Its architecture was more compact and less vascular than that of the anterior lobe. However, there was some grouping of the cells in relation to blood vessels. The cells tended to be smaller, with a higher nucleocytoplasmic ratio. The cytoplasm showed a paucity of granules. In some of the cells, it was eosinophilic.

The Information SuperHighway, Email, The Internet, FTP, BBS, Modems, : all buzz words which are becoming more and more routine in our daily life. Confusing terminology? Hopefully it won't be in a few minutes, all you need is to have a handle on a few basic concepts and terms and you will be on-line with the rest of the "telecommunication experts". These terms all refer to some type or aspect of tools associated with a range of computer-based communication software and hardware. They are in fact far less complex than the instruments we use on a day to day basis as microscopist's and microanalyst's. The key is for each of us to know what each is and how to make use of the wealth of information which they can make available to us for the asking. Basically all of these items relate to mechanisms and protocols by which we as scientists can easily exchange information rapidly and efficiently to colleagues in the office down the hall, or half-way around the world using computers and various communications media. The purpose of this tutorial/paper is to outline and demonstrate the basic ideas of some of the major information systems available to all of us today. For the sake of simplicity we will break this presentation down into two distinct (but as we shall see later connected) areas: telecommunications over conventional phone lines, and telecommunications by computer networks. Live tutorial/demonstrations of both procedures will be presented in the Computer Workshop/Software Exchange during the course of the meeting.
