Abstract Aims  May Measurement Month (MMM) is a global campaign to enhance hypertension awareness by intensive blood pressure measuring campaign during a month period of May. May Measurement Month 2020 was not officially executed globally, especially in light of COVID-19 pandemic. But in Korea, the MMM committee decided to carry on with self-initiated project to succeed MMM started in 2019 in Korea. And we adopted new online strategies for those with age of 18 or older under the MMM Methods and results  Korea 2020 theme in Korean of ‘Look for the Young Hypertension’. A promotional video, a subtitled translated global promotional video, and four educational contents were uploaded on Youtube®. Seven online posters or card news were uploaded on main blog. And 71 articles by 60 websites from 10 medical media company were published. The MMM keyword exposure in Naver® portal Search Advertisements was 2500 searches per day. There were 3519 visits to the MMM blog, and 114 people participated in snapshot challenges. Four social network service channels were activated, and there was an increase in Facebook and Instagram followers of 6.5- and 5.8-fold, respectively. GoodDoc® application programming interface messages were sent 97876 times (2589 responses). For a user created contents contest, 28 competitors, mostly young, participated. Conclusion  Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the MMM campaign was able to survive using a ‘new normal’ online format. The shift to on-line activity during the pandemic will contribute to a breakthrough MMM campaign in the future that can be combined with off-line protocols even after the pandemic.

ObjectivesTo explore the type of education needed for nurses when dealing with aggression from patients and their families.DesignA two-phase sequential mixed-methods study.SettingThis study was conducted in Japan, with phase I from March to November 2016 and phase II in November 2018.Main outcome measuresThe challenges faced by nurses when dealing with incidents of aggression from the neutral perspective of neither nurse nor patient/family and perceptions of the educational contents developed in this study. Descriptive analyses were used to examine the data retrieved from both phases.ParticipantsPhase I entailed semistructured interviews among 11 neutral-party participants who observed aggressive incidents between nurses and patients/families. Phase II consisted of a web survey conducted among 102 nursing students and 308 nursing professionals.ResultsPhase I resulted in the identification of the following five main educational components: understanding the mechanisms of anger and aggression, maintaining self-awareness, observant listening, managing the self-impression, and communicating based on specific disease characteristics. Each component was related to improved communication through self-awareness. The results of phase II indicated that participants positively perceived these educational contents as likely to be effective for dealing with aggression from patients/families.ConclusionsThis study clarified the type of education needed for nurses when dealing with aggression based on multiple viewpoints. Specifically, neutral-party interviews revealed that communication should be improved through self-awareness. A subsequent survey among nurses and nursing students showed that the identified educational contents were positively received.

The main aim of the AHKME e-learning platform is to provide a system with adaptive and knowledge management abilities for students and teachers. This system is based on the IMS specifications representing information through metadata, granting semantics to all contents in the platform, giving them meaning. In this platform, metadata is used to satisfy requirements like reusability, interoperability and multipurpose. The system provides authoring tools to define learning methods with adaptive characteristics, and tools to create courses allowing users with different roles, promoting several types of collaborative and group learning. It is also endowed with tools to retrieve, import and evaluate learning objects based on metadata, where students can use quality educational contents fitting their characteristics, and teachers have the possibility of using quality educational contents to structure their courses. The learning objects management and evaluation play an important role in order to get the best results in the teaching/learning process.
