Implant prosthesis is a popular treatment modality but it is not complication free. This article discussed the management of a cemented, all-ceramic implant crown in the maxillary anterior region that had veneering ceramic fracture after three years in function. A screw-retained prosthesis was prescribed to avoid the show of the screw access channel on the incisal edge of the crown. This was achieved by changing the location of the screw hole using the angle screw channel that overcame the angulation issue.

The use of reliable indices to evaluate the aesthetic outcomes in the aesthetic area is an important and objective clinical aid to monitor the results over time. According to the literature various indices were proposed to evaluate aesthetic outcomes of implant-prosthetic rehabilitation of the anterior area like Peri-Implant and Crown Index [PICI], Implant Crown Aesthetic Index [ICAI], Pink Esthetic Score/White Esthetic Score [PES/WES], and Pink Esthetic Score [PES] but none of them was related to prosthetic rehabilitation on natural teeth. The aim of this study is to verify the validity of PES/WES index for natural tooth-prosthetic rehabilitation of the anterior area. As secondary objective, we proposed to evaluate the long-term predictability of this clinical application, one of which is presented below, following the analysis of the most currently accepted literature.

The Aesthetic

<p>All-ceramic restoration of anterior teeth is a challenging clinical situation for which a variety of all-ceramic systems are available. The aim of this study is to present a case report of the construction of two single-unit metal-free fixed prostheses in anterior teeth. A 30-year-old male patient came to the Faculty of Dentistry, Federal University of Amazonas, concerned about his teeth. Elements 11 and 12 were endodontically retreated and fiberglass intracanal retainer posts were inserted. Dental crowns were prepared using the silhouette technique. The crowns were cemented with resin cement. The patient was very satisfied with his new smile and the aesthetic rehabilitation of the anterior teeth provided by the treatment.</p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: Aesthetics; Oral rehabilitation; Dental porcelain.</p>

Porcelain fused to metal (PFM) bridge is the most of treatment that commonly used as a fixed partial dentures. One of the indication for PFM bridge is to replacing the loss of posterior teeth. This case report discussed about the treatment of posterior missing teeth with PFM bridge. Objective: to explain the clinical procedures of PFM bridges to treat the patient with posterior missing teeth. Case report: A 29-years old woman came to prosthodontic clinic in Faculty of Dentistry University of Padjadjaran with chief complaint of right maxillary posterior missing teeth. The treatment planning that have been choosen for this case was the porcelain fused to metal bridge due this excellent characteristic of resistence to mastication force compared with other types of bridge such as all ceramic or all acrylic bridge. Beside that, the aesthetic achievement of this kind of bridges is more excellent than all metal bridges. Disscussion: A spatial analysis, calculation the number of abutment against which used, and selected design bridge very determine the success of this treatment. In addition to that, the clinical procedures consisting of abutment teeth preparation, an accurate impression, and appropriate cementation were needed to get the satisfactory result. Conclusions: The porcelain fused to metal bridge is a appropriate option for posterior missing teeth treatment that fullfil satisfactorical biomechanical and esthetic factors.

A healthy and beautiful smile can affect appearance and confidence. One of the aesthetic problems in dentistry that is often complained of by patients is excessive gingival display (gummy smile). The excessive gingival display can be caused by several factors, one of which is altered passive eruption (APE). One of the treatments to correct gummy smile related to APE is crown lengthening. Crown lengthening can be with bone reduction (gingivectomy with bone reduction) or without bone reduction (gingivectomy). Crown Lengthening with bone reduction is a surgical procedure that aims to maintain the dentogingival complex and to improve smile aesthetics. The purpose of this case report is to determine the crown lengthening with bone reduction (gingivectomy with bone reduction) procedure as a gummy smile treatment related to APE .A23-year-old female patient, came to Dental Hospital of Universitas Airlangga with complaints of her upper gum which not in the same length and the teeth looked short, she considered her smile was less aesthetic. After conducting analyses relating to aesthetics and periodontal tissue, crown lengthening with bone reduction was chosen for this patient treatment. The treatment results are quite good, visible gingival margins that matched the gingival zenith and improved patient's smile profile. APE as the etiology of patient's gummy smile can be corrected. There are no post-surgical complications such as excessive pain and infection. A proper diagnosis, treatment plan, and good techniques can produce a harmonious smile on the patient.

Introduction: Maxillary canines play strategic roles in maintaining the normal function and visibility of teeth. However, rare cases of bilateral permanent congenitally missing maxillary canines were occurring. Replacing these missing canines with dental implant prostheses is an optimal treatment plan for aesthetics and functions. Case Report: In this case report, we described the replacement of bilateral maxillary canines with osseointegrated implants to support all-ceramic prostheses for a young female patient. This treatment avoids the conventional preparation of adjacent teeth as a part of prosthetic reconstructions. In addition to that, all-ceramic crowns are biocompatible with oral cavity structures. Conclusion: The stable short-term result has been achieved with the replacement of the bilateral congenitally missed canines with an implant and cemented all-ceramic crowns, with 3-years cumulative success rate.

The final color of all-ceramic restorations may be influenced by the varying thickness of the dental abutment. Eighty A2 color (MO and LT) ceramic discs and eighty A3.5 color and four different thicknesses composite discs of were produced. The measurements were performed using the Vita Easyshade spectrophotometer. The results were statistically analyzed. Conclusion: There are no significant differences (perceived by the human eye) of the color parameters in the CIE L*a*b* system when comparing different combinations.

A case report is presented in order to illustrate the benefits of computerized video imaging in orthognathic surgery. It is suggested that superimposition of the cephalogram on the video image is helpful in treatment planning and in communication with the patient. Computerized video imaging techniques help clinicians and patients discuss the aesthetic impact of orthognathic surgery. The superimposition of the cephalogram and profile image, coupled with algorithmic predictions, allow the clinician to plan the surgery to closely match the desired result. This paper presents the planning and counselling of a patient using contemporary computerized video imaging techniques.

ABSTRACT Loss of tooth structure occurs due to caries, endodontic treatment, or fracture caused by trauma; restoring these teeth is difficult task for a clinician. Post and core is an option for teeth when excessive tooth structure is lost and teeth need to be restored with crown and bridge procedure. They can be prefabricated post with composite built up or a one-piece custom-made post. The custom-made cast metal post and core have disadvantage due to their color that imparts grayish hue to overlying ceramic restorations. Masking the metal core can enhance the esthetic of all ceramic restorations that are placed over the cast post and core. ABSTRACT Scope of work The purpose of this work is the analysis and comparison of the various methods available for the realization of fixed restorations on natural teeth in the anterior sector with the presentation of some case report series. Materials and methods The methods used in relation to the clinical case, are the metal-ceramic, the galvan-ceramic, all- ceramic and porcelain veneers. Results It highlights indications and limitations of each of the methods proposed, emphasizing the prominent role of esthetics in the rehabilitation sector of the front. Conclusion The materials and techniques available, with proper clinical evaluation and to a timely therapeutic planning, are the basis of the rehabilitative ideal choice for each individual case, and they also depend on the achievement of clinical success.
