This research aims to determine the effectiveness of training based on learning organization in the staff of cement industry with production capacity over ten thousand tons. The purpose of this study is to propose a training model based on learning organization. For this purpose, the factors of organizational learning were introduced by qualitative research in the form of open codes, axial codes, selective codes and the resulted observations, and then the final model was obtained by structural equation model. The data were collected from the staff of three cement companies of Abyek, Tehran, and Sepahan, with a statistical population of 1719 staff of cement industry. The qualitative research sample included 29 experienced experts in the field of cement industry, and the quantitative research sample included 326 staff and experts, who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. A self-made questionnaire consisting of 72 questions was used to measure quantitative variables. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.93 and its content and face validity was determined by expert colleagues and professors, the structural equation model and regression was used to analyze the quantitative data. The results showed that the status of learning organization in cement companies is in average level. Finally, the obtained model consisted of both individual and organizational factors. The individual factors affecting organizational learning include teaching scientific content, perception, trust, and self-efficacy of training. The organizational factors affecting organizational learning include organizational culture, forming the structure, the method of management and leadership, preparing human resource (identity), adaption to the environment, policies, rules, and regulations, and achieving a viable product. The share of individual factors on learning organization is higher than the effect organizational factors; the share of each factor is also determined.

This chapter uses organizational learning as a lens to study how firms implement the enterprise system. The core research questions are: What are the critical organizational factors affecting organizational learning in ES implementation? How do these elements shape the learning process and thereby influence ES implementation outcomes? To address these questions, we conducted comparative case study with two organizations that have recently adopted ES and achieved significantly different results. Based on the empirical findings, we propose a framework that describes how organizational factors affect the four constructs of organizational learning in ES implementation context — knowledge acquisition, information distribution, information interpretation and organizational memory.

In the context of rapid environmental changes under current school reform, the present paper attempts to locate an answer for a historical question related to the sources of organizational changes and for a prevailing question probing the relationships among external, internal and contextual factors affecting school organizational learning. Based on the information provided by 1,197 teaching staff from 67 Hong Kong government‐aided elementary and secondary schools, the present study confirms the proposition advanced by the “strategic choice school”, that it is leadership action which accounts for organizational adaptation. Moreover, through a series of path analyses, transformational leadership along with supportive culture and flexible structure are mainly accountable for organizational learning, while external and contextual conditions provide the additional incentives in dictating the extent of organizational learning that is taking place in schools.

The maritime industry in the Philippines had several deficiencies that must be addressed seriously in order to maintain strong reputation in producing competitive seafarers worldwide. This affects student’s educational skills and knowledge before finishing their education and training. This research led in identifying several factors affecting learning experiences to be addressed by incorporating advance technologies to further enhance student’s learning experiences. The learning strategies used in this study are focused on using presentation, multimedia, simulator and hands-on. But these are not enough to satisfy students craving to learn due to some constraints during learning. In this study most of the factors identified are from literatures, monitoring reports, previous surveys and studies conducted in one of the maritime institution north of the Philippines. A descriptive research method was applied with the 32 marine engineering third year students as the respondents. Results extracted from questionnaires revealed important points that must be considered on the different learning strategies. The learning experiences of students on the different learning strategy used in the learning process exposed several learning factors to be regulated. The findings suggest that there is still an opportunity of improvement on student’s learning experiences by introduction emerging advance technology by developing an augmented reality model framework to enhance learning experiences.

This study mainly investigated the factors affecting the business model innovation of small and micro travel agencies (SMTAs) in the Internet+ era. Based on a literature review, six hypotheses were proposed. To identify the influencing factors, the questionnaire, which was developed from previous studies, was distributed and 130 valid questionnaires were identified. Linear regression was used to test the hypotheses and further verify the relationship between each factor and the four dimensions of business model innovation. The results revealed that: 1.  Organizational learning ability, consumer demand, entrepreneurial spirit, and website performance have significant effects on the business model innovation of SMTAs in the Internet+ era; 2. Organizational learning ability; consumer demand, and technological development were discovered to have positive effects on the value proposition innovation of SMTAs; 3. Consumer demand, entrepreneurial spirit, and organizational learning ability have positive effects on the value maintenance innovation of SMTAs; 4. Organizational learning ability and consumer demand have positive effects on the value network innovation of SMTAs; 5. Finally, organizational learning ability, website performance, and consumer demand have positive effects on the value realization innovation of SMTAs. These results can serve as the foundation for future relevant research and as a reference for SMTAs and related industry practitioners in their future management.

IntroductionNurses are one of the important sources of organizational learning, and the main elements of knowledge transfer in hospitals. They can play a major role in the process of organizational learning. One of the factors affecting nurses' learning is self-efficacy.ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to evaluate the association between organizational learning and professional self-efficacy among nurses.MethodologyA cross-sectional study was conducted among 150 nurses in Ali Ibn Abitaleb Hospital in Zahedan City, Iran in 2018, selected by simple randomized sampling. Tools used were the Neefe Organizational Learning Questionnaire (Neefe, 2001), and Riggs and Knight's Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (1994).ResultsThe results showed a significant positive correlation (p <0.05) between self-efficacy scores and the organizational learning dimensions of systems thinking, team learning, and shared vision. Linear regression analysis showed that these three dimensions of organizational learning predicted 16.1% of the professional self-efficacy variations.DiscussionOrganizational learning has a direct relationship with nurses' professional self-efficacy. Promotion of organizational learning characteristics in hospitals will enhance nurses' self-efficacy.
