The objective of this study is to investigate the views of the Qur'an about the origin of the name and its position in relation to language and the development of science. The research model is literature research utilizing the sources collection (heuristic), source criticism, interpretation, and writing. The findings of this study are: (1) the Qur'an states that Allah SWT gives teachings about the names to the Prophet of Adam As; (2) These names correlate with the language because they are composed of the names that have been introduced to the Prophet Adam As; (3) The name and language are two sides of money; (4) Names, languages, and concepts can further be the main capital that humans have to develop scientific communication.

In the concept of Islamic education, there are several kinds ofideas that have been listed in an education. In Islam, it does not forget a history where the teachings derived from the knowledge come. Especially in the land of Java, there has been a long Demak kingdom has stood and proved by its historical relics. Whit the concept of Islamic education, no other Demak kingdom must have its idea of Islamic education in the upbringing ofIslamic in his time. This research was conducted quantitatively, the type of literature research. It will explore the literature related to Islamic education during the Demak kingdom by using the research model for the study of Islam history at the time of the Demak Kingdom, The aim of this study to see the model ofeducation that applied at that time can develop Islam rapidly which still no communication like today. Research of result is the method that used during the time of Demak kingdom was the lecture method, inserts, demonstrations and experiments and observational research using a cultural approach.

. This research is aimed to explore on the value of musyawarah (deliberation) in Serat Kancil Kridhamartana volume I. This Serat is a version of the Serat Kancil manuscript written in the scope of Pakualaman tradition (palace). Through deeper exploration on this manuscript, at least we can find one of the noble values of our nation’s culture, namely musyawarah mufakat (deliberation and consensus) which can be used as a basis for democratic behavior of state administrators. Given that until now, the democratic behavior of our administering apparatus is still far from substantial democratic values. This research is a type of literature research using a philosophical research model, namely historical factual about the text. In the process of analyzing research data, the researcher used methodical elements, namely interpretation, idealism, comparison, and description. The results of this study describe that Kancil Kridhamartana volume I contains the value of deliberation and consensus /or to reach a consensus (musyawarah-mufakat) as a guide in solving every problem. Deliberation as a value as well as a procedure does not stand alone but is related to other values, namely the values of divinity, humanity, unity and justice. The values of deliberation (musyawarah) contained in Serat Kancil Kridhamartana volume I are very relevant as an ethical foundation for realizing better democratic behavior of state administrators. Key words: values, musyawarah, democracy

This article will explain the development of the style of interpretation of the Koran from the classical period to the modern period. The authors use the literature research model (literature study) by reading books on interpretations from scholars and commentaries of scholars. Broadly speaking, the Classical period has many agreed-upon models of interpretation based on tradition and many uses of Islamic sources also support the linguistic aspect. While in the modern period emerged against the Old traditions ranging from the use of israiliyat tradition, the authority of the prophet, linguistic to the combination of the tradition of Western positivism thinking that illustrates various interpretations in the modern period with the exchange of mystical concepts and primitive concepts, also helped realize the discussions that support religion drocal.

Healthcare portals provide abundant information to consumers. This study examines the factors influencing consumers’ decisions to adopt and continue using healthcare portals. A research model is developed using constructs from past Information Systems (IS) literature. Research hypotheses derived from this model were empirically validated using a filed survey. Data collected from the survey (N=269) was tested for adoption (N=181, individuals who have not used healthcare portals) and continuance (N=88, individuals who have used healthcare portals) separately. According to the results, more than usefulness and ease of use of healthcare portals, trust and satisfaction emerged as the main factors determining adoption and continuance respectively. Further, this data was grouped on gender and analyzed to see the effect of gender on consumers’ decisions. In light of these findings, theoretical and practical implications for understanding the consumers’ decisions in using healthcare portals are discussed.

Silver halide grains (AgX, X=Cl,Br,I) are commonly recognized as important entities in photographic applications. Depending on the preparation specifications one can grow cubic, octahedral, tabular a.o. morphologies, each with its own physical and chemical characteristics. In the present study crystallographic defects introduced by the mixing of 5-20% iodide in a growing AgBr tabular grain are investigated. X-ray diffractometry reveals the existence of a homogeneous Ag(Br1-xIx) region, expected to be formed around the AgBr kernel. In fig. 1 a two-beam BF image, taken at T≈100 K to diminish radiation damage, of a triangular tabular grain is presented, clearly showing defect contrast fringes along four of the six directions; the remaining two sides show similar contrast under relevant diffraction conditions. The width of the central defect free region corresponds with the pure AgBr kernel grown before the mixing with I. The thickness of a given grain lies between 0.15 and 0.3 μm: as indicated in fig. 2 triangular (resp. hexagonal) grains exhibit an uneven (resp. even) number of twin interfaces (i.e., between + and - twin variants) parallel with the (111) surfaces. The thickness of the grains and the existence of the twin variants was confirmed from CTEM images of perpendicular cuts.

On September 15, 2003, the US. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit held that agreements between pharmaceutical and generic companies not to compete are not per se unlawful if these agreements do not expand the existing exclusionary right of a patent. The Valley DrugCo.v.Geneva Pharmaceuticals decision emphasizes that the nature of a patent gives the patent holder exclusive rights, and if an agreement merely confirms that exclusivity, then it is not per se unlawful. With this holding, the appeals court reversed the decision of the trial court, which held that agreements under which competitors are paid to stay out of the market are per se violations of the antitrust laws. An examination of the Valley Drugtrial and appeals court decisions sheds light on the two sides of an emerging legal debate concerning the validity of pay-not-to-compete agreements, and more broadly, on the appropriate balance between the seemingly competing interests of patent and antitrust laws.

Would it be helpful to inform a driver about when a conflicting traffic situation is going to occur? We tested whether temporal orienting of attention could enhance executive control to select among conflicting stimuli and responses. Temporal orienting was induced by presenting explicit cues predicting the most probable interval for target onset, which could be short (400 ms) or long (1,300 ms). Executive control was measured both by flanker and Simon tasks involving conflict between incompatible responses and by the spatial Stroop task involving conflict between perceptual stimulus features. The results showed that temporal orienting facilitated the resolution of perceptual conflict by reducing the spatial Stroop effect, whereas it interfered with the resolution of response conflict by increasing flanker and Simon effects. Such opposite effects suggest that temporal orienting of attention modulates executive control through dissociable mechanisms, depending on whether the competition between conflicting representations is located at perceptual or response levels.
