Marine tourism is one of the main factors contributing to the growth of the tourism sector in Malaysia.  Malaysia is among the countries that have assets of most beautiful islands with diverse marine life. It is attracting visitors to enjoy the beauty of the sea nature. The vibrant activity was an opportunity for local community to engage in the tourism sector. Thus, this study was conducted to determine the perceptions of local community towards the impact of tourism activities in Pulau Pangkor. The Impact

Marine tourism is one of the main factors contributing to the growth of the tourism sector in Malaysia. Malaysia is among the countries that have the most beautiful islands with diverse marine life. It is attracting visitors to enjoy the beauty of the sea nature. The vibrant activity is an opportunity for local tour operators to engage in the tourism sector. Therefore, the business activities can provide benefits to the local tour operators, but these also have negative impacts on economic, socio-cultural and environment. A preliminary study was conducted to determine tour operator’s perceptions about the impact of tourism activities related in entrepreneurial of community in Pulau Pangkor. The study involved 150 respondents who joined the local tour operators in the tourism sector. This study used questionnaire survey as the method of data collection. The findings show the marine tourism involving entrepreneurial activity has a high impact on the socio-economic development of the local population and moderate impact to the environment.

Tourism is a sector that always has a dynamic movement which will benefit the local community. Lumban Suhi-suhi is a tourist village famous for its ulos on Samosir Island that has become one of the tourist attraction. Due to the limitations of facilities arrangement make it becomes less of the attraction itself. Therefore, the environment-based mechanism becomes one of the concepts that will be applied to improve the tourist facilities in which could increase tourists in that area. The impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has been a great concern on educational systems around the world. In coping with the hasty situation and having no other option, the Architecture School of UCSI university has swiftly changed their traditional to virtual teaching/learning method in adapting to the new educational environment. This article explores the major concern and alternative teaching methods and learning activities through online platforms in design courses. Sustainable energy initiatives are one of the substantial measures toward achieving environmental sustainability goals and should be adopted by facilities management practices in university. This paper examined the sustainable energy initiatives implemented at three (3) participated universities with the objectives to identify the most current effective initiatives undertaken and to propose future improvement strategies. The perception of six (6) key persons was observed via a semi-structured interview. The most implemented strategies were establishing energy awareness programs, adopting energy-efficient appliances and equipment, managing time schedules, and implementing the prepaid metering system. The study suggested that the firm commitments and participation from all parties in universities are needed towards achieving a sustainable campus. Following the activities of a tyre recycling company in Johor, Malaysia, over 2000 people fell sick and 111 schools were shut when toxic substances were released into the Sungai Kim Kim, a river in Pasir Gudang. This paper examines the relevance of corporate environmental responsibility (CER) policy framework in ensuring constant environmental sustainability by corporate bodies in Malaysia. The paper adopts a comparative law research methodology to assess the potential impact of environmentally sustainable corporate social responsibility across two jurisdictions i.e., Malaysia and India. Primary rainforest as an old heritage has become widely known because of its old natural, beautiful setting and the richest of its biodiversity. A nature-based trail is a natural path in the rainforest as a medium to explore the uniqueness of the natural beauty assets and the biodiversity of the forest. The development of the nature-based trail settings in a primary rainforest gives the impact towards visitor’s experience indirectly to appreciate the biodiversity. Recreation Opportunity Spectrum (ROS) parameters will be used to interpret the effectiveness of the trail. Neighbourhood design is one of the factors contributing towards the establishment and maintenance of local community ties. The differences in environmental size and design of neighbourhoods are perceived to influence sense of community networking functions. A physical element such as gated element is also believed to have an influence on local community relationship networking. Therefore, a study on sense of community was conducted in two neighbourhood areas: Putrajaya (non-gated) and Bandar Baru Bangi (gated) using face to face interview method. This study found that residents of non-gated residential areas demonstrated higher sense of community (M=6.47 SP=0.08) than residents of gated residential areas (M=6.39, SP=1.08). A child needs the best environment for the formation of themselves. Water elements may inject interest among children to be closer to their natural environment. This study focuses on the impact of water elements as an attraction to children. This study focuses on the pictorial investigation of water at outdoor spaces for six-year-old children. This study adapted the technique by Miskell (2011) in dividing places through a spectrum of naturalness helps to differentiate places from the pristine to the developed. Moreover, it guides parents towards knowing the children needs in their environment and improving happiness for their future growth. There is a correlation between the wellbeing of residents of elderly care centre with a well-designed outdoor space. The study was to assess the impact of outdoor space towards the elderly wellbeing in a selected care centre in Malaysia. The focus was on how the elderly physically, emotionally, psychologically and socially behave towards their environment. Due to the movement control order, company performance is predicted to be highly affected by Covid-19 pandemic.  Thus, this study seeks to examine the impact of leverage, liquidity and cash flows from operations towards company performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Using secondary data from public listed companies on Bursa Malaysia with two financial quarters in the financial year 2020, it is found that there is a significant impact of liquidity and cash flows from operations on company performance. This study may contribute as additional literature to future studies and provide sights to regulators in dealing with the pandemic outbreak.
