The impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has been a great concern on educational systems around the world. In coping with the hasty situation and having no other option, the Architecture School of UCSI university has swiftly changed their traditional to virtual teaching/learning method in adapting to the new educational environment. This article explores the major concern and alternative teaching methods and learning activities through online platforms in design courses. The outcomes showed positive and negative feedback by conducting a questionnaire survey among the undergraduate & postgraduate architecture programs throughout the School of Architecture & Built Environment, UCSI University. Generally, the objective of teachings-learnings in theoretical subjects of interior architecture programs is focused on transferring theories to students, which usually can be underline for application in design practical subjects. The research objectives are to study concepts and implementations of cooperative/collaborative learning technique in classes by a theoretical subject case study, to propose a guideline for the teaching-learning management in the theoretical subjects and designing interior environment in the classes where harmonize to the teaching-learning management. Results and recommendations were discussed and presented in this research. Keywords: cooperative/collaborative learning, learning efficiency, theoretical subject; eISSN 2514-7528 © 2018. The Authors. Primary rainforest as an old heritage has become widely known because of its old natural, beautiful setting and the richest of its biodiversity. A nature-based trail is a natural path in the rainforest as a medium to explore the uniqueness of the natural beauty assets and the biodiversity of the forest. The development of the nature-based trail settings in a primary rainforest gives the impact towards visitor’s experience indirectly to appreciate the biodiversity. Recreation Opportunity Spectrum (ROS) parameters will be used to interpret the effectiveness of the trail. The sustainability of natural resources becomes a major concern towards the management and conservation of the biodiversity. Keywords: Biodiversity; heritage; rainforest; ROS parameterISSN: 2398-4287© 2017. A child needs the best environment for the formation of themselves. Water elements may inject interest among children to be closer to their natural environment. This study focuses on the impact of water elements as an attraction to children. This study focuses on the pictorial investigation of water at outdoor spaces for six-year-old children. This study adapted the technique by Miskell (2011) in dividing places through a spectrum of naturalness helps to differentiate places from the pristine to the developed. Moreover, it guides parents towards knowing the children needs in their environment and improving happiness for their future growth. Globalisation and information technology have posed challenges to cultural systems whereby new ways are taking over old ways that are indigenous to a particular culture. Traditional modes of cultural expression are being restructured where changes in musical practices and sound systems are affecting composers to remain vital. New music for the Malay gamelan using new modes of expression require schools to act as agents for change and innovation to occur. This study examines the direction gamelan music is taking in Malaysia and its implications on music education in Malaysia in order for the gamelan to remain relevant. This study aims to investigate the impact of café atmospherics on Malaysian youth behavioural intention. The findings from the study indicate: (1) The youth preferences of store atmosphere in cafes include five factors, specifically, lighting, facility aesthetic, employee factor, ambient intelligent and music; (2) Cafe atmospheric (lighting, facility aesthetic, employee factor, ambient intelligent and music) factors have significant positive correlation with youth approach behaviours. As a conclusion, this study is important to the foodservice operators to understand the youth intention to revisit a café. The paper concludes with the implications for academic researchers and marketing practitioners.© 2016. The Authors. Published for AMER ABRA by e-International Publishing House, Ltd., UK. The relatively service-driven restaurant industry is becoming more important in generating income for many Asian countries and hence the service performance of the restaurants must be well understood and managed. The key determinants for restaurant service quality need to be identified, especially for the important segment such as youth customers. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the importance of service environment (servicescape and human service), food quality and price from the youth customers’ perspective. The types of restaurant investigated were the fine dining (n1 = 145), fast food (n2 = 147), and food court (n3 = 117) restaurants. Duly completed structured questionnaires (n = 409) were collected. The key determinants on satisfaction and loyalty were mainly human service and price. However, the impact of servicescape on customer satisfaction and loyalty was relatively smaller, except for fast food restaurants. This paper investigates the effect of vegetation in modifying outdoor temperature around a single-family house in a hot and humid tropical climate. The climatic parameters, house location, and physical characteristics of landscape design are measured and surveyed. The focus of this study is on the impact of trees and different types of foliage on the thermal environment of the houses.  The main findings are that heavily landscape around single-family houses can potentially slow heat build-up by shading, evapotranspiration, and wind channelling by as much as 4°C.Keywords: Single-family house, thermal performance, landscape design, evapotranspirationeISSN 2398-4295 © 2018. This study was conducted at Orang Asli settlement in Ulu Kuang Village, Rawang in order to evaluate the impacts of the redevelopment of the settlement towards its physical and socio-economic conditions. 73 out of 92 households were interviewed during the study period. Descriptive, comparative analysis and socioeconomic analyses were conducted. It was found that generally the Orang Asli were satisfied with their physical and socio-economic conditions after the redevelopment, although a few problems remain. Some improvements such as the provision of water tank and waste disposal collecting service, as well as income generation and human development programmes are offered. Keywords: Redevelopment; Orang Asli (aborigines); Socio-economic impacts; physical impactsISSN: 2398-4287© 2017.
