The British pillbox monument left during World War II (1941) occurred in Kelantan and damaged yet attract the tourism. However, lesst impacted in society except for some veterans that involve. The aims to relocate the pillbox in Bachok. The objective is to study structure and emphasize community awareness. In achieving the study's objectives, various methods was used. First is field observation and set coordinates for all pillboxes, photo-taking to consolidate data, and conducted questionnaire on 100 respondents that related. The monuments can be economic resources and raise awareness of historical value as it contributes to the formation of Malaysia. This paper discusses the interview data collection of an on-going research on accessibility of public buildings in Putrajaya. Main issues include the public awareness of PWD rights and the true concepts of Universal Design (UD). Main purposes are to investigate the building managers’ level of awareness and perception regarding the accessibility of their buildings and to study their knowledge on UD theory. Semi-structured interview was carried out with building managers from three public buildings in Putrajaya. Findings show that UD knowledge needs to be enhanced among building managers in order to increase awareness on inclusive environment in public buildings. Taiping Lake Garden (TLG) is one of the remaining British legacies located in Taiping, Perak. TLG is facing the transformation of English landscape environment, and diminishing the public appreciation on its historical value. This study aims to investigate the transformation of TLG’s historical value in the current environment, and to propose suggestions in promoting public awareness towards conserving the historical value in historic garden. This study has assessed the public awareness through a combination of survey and case study. The extraordinary societal challenges demand cities to be innovative and adaptable to the needs of urban citizens. In the Malaysian context, the Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) has not been well incorporated into the ULLs. This paper seeks to address this gap by exploring the potential of the Blue-Green Urban Living Labs (BGULLs) at the Sungai Bunus catchment area. Using Google Form, survey questionnaire is conducted among professionals and the public. Pruning is one of the most crucial tree maintenance activities which give an impact on the tree's health and structure. Besides, improper pruning will contribute to the risk of injury to property and the public. This study aims to assess pruning knowledge among four Local authorities in Malaysia. Results found that 69.3 percent of tree pruning workers have a Good pruning knowledge level. However, Topping, pruning types and pruning cut dimension shows the lowest mean percentage of the correct answer. The findings also show that there is a significant positive relationship between pruning knowledge and education level and frequency attending pruning courses.Keywords: Tree pruning; knowledge; sustainable practices; urban treeseISSN: 2398-4287 © 2020. Local Plan of every city in the world reflects its policies and public needs. Hence, it is vital to decide the suitable process representing the public voice. The purpose of this paper is to examine the usage of public library towards youth development. Generally, a public library offers information and educational resources to a community. Being that in the modern world, there are other modes in seeking information, the public library is often disregarded and being ignored of its existence. Factors that affect the use of public library such as accessibility, availability, comfortability and the maintenance of it plays an important role in determining its usage among youth. This research aims to verify the contribution of three commercial buildings in providing places for public in Bandung and Jakarta city in Indonesia. To achieve this goal, some field observations, interviews and evaluation of public activities at the buildings were conducted. The public uses and the ways the company manages the buildings that enable public activities were evaluated. The results of this research show that some types of public activities are identified. What did the past inherit to a place? It left a track of continuity that builds the identity of the place. This study aims to observed continuity aspect to develop heritage tourism in a historic corridor of Medan City. Using a mixed method of quantitative as well as qualitative, it focused on three indicators in the study area namely values, nostalgia, and familiarity. The findings have shown that the largest contribution in building the area identity came from the heritage buildings and historical stories while the familiarity was proven to be weak. © 2016 The Author. The Malaysian government had announced the Movement Control Order (MCO) to handle the Covid-19 crisis. During MCO, the government has used media channels to spread the information to the public. This research aims to identify the mediating part of both knowledge and awareness between students' attitude and media role during MCO. The findings from 338 respondents analysed using structural equation modelling found that knowledge and awareness mediate between media and students' attitude. This study could guide policymakers to promote a greater understanding of the coronavirus pandemic by using the mass media. There are queries on the halal status of food among Muslim consumers due to the accessibility of halal knowledge via mass media, and this needs for the jurists’ clarification (fatwa). Thus, this paper seeks to examine the determinant factors of fatwa’s decisions on food-related issues based on the approach of ‘urf. A qualitative approach which involved document analysis technique was applied from various authoritative sources. Furthermore, content analysis and constant comparative methods were used to analyze the data.
