Learning can be done by anyone and anywhere. Cultural heritage provides an alternative interestinglearning resource. It is just that not many people understand the benefts that can be obtained fromcultural heritage. Tis Community Service by FIB UGM in 2018 made an effort so that peoplewould be more familiar with learning resources from cultural heritage objects. Te objects used inthis study are reliefs which depict a music group from the Borobudur Temple. Tis choice is basedon Gardner's theory which states that every human being has a different intelligence. Among thenine intelligences presented by Gardner, musical intelligence is one of them. By applying Gardner'stheory, especially musical intelligence, the introduction of objects of relief about people playing musicfrom Borobudur reliefs to people who like music is expected to be able to facilitate them to capturethe message conveyed.Reliefs about people playing music from Borobudur Temple is introduced to a group of musicians, namely the Pesantian Wisnu Sakti Tambakan group located in Tambakan Village, JogonalanDistrict, Klaten Regency. Te way to do this is to look at and imitate body movements such as thosedepicted on the reliefs of musicians playing musical instruments at Borobudur Temple. Te resultof the observations show that the participants feel the beauty of the movements and feel the sound ofthe music produced with the position of the hands and the appropriate instruments so as to producebeautiful and unique sounds. From the process of the activities carried out, this group was able toproduce several pieces of music. Te music produced also make the participants feel happy and planto use the results of this learning for various activities.

Cultural Heritage is recognized as a priceless asset of human being, which exposes the humanity's achievements over centuries. The need for documentation and preservation of cultural heritage is well known worldwide. Digital surveying techniques are playing a catalytic role towards recording and documentation of cultural heritage. This chapter describes the methodological and technological aspects of image-based recording and documentation approaches acting as the vehicle for the digital surveying of cultural heritage. The chapter not only describes the different technologies and techniques used but also goes to the extent of clarifying several applied implementation issues. Three different examples and application case studies from a small, a medium and a large-scale cultural heritage objects are provided to demonstrate the developments.

The Semarang City Government has been criticized by the community because it is considered to allow the demolition of ancient and historic buildings to be replaced with new buildings that are economically more profitable. The city has ancient buildings of high historical and architectural value, especially in the Old City cultural heritage area. Blenduk Church, for example, which was built in 1742, is a landmark of the Old City. Therefore, the following problems can be formulated: (1) What is the existence of Cultural Heritage objects in the city of Semarang? (2) What about Law No. 11 of 2010 in providing protection for Semarang City Cultural Heritage Property?, (3) What are the obstacles in implementing the preservation of Cultural Heritage objects in Semarang City? The method used in the socialization and dissemination of law regarding Law No.11 of 2010 concerning Cultural Heritage conducted at the activity participants is a lecture, question and answer, and discussion model.  The results of the community service activities show that there is an increase in understanding and knowledge of the community service participants, which is indicated by the results of tests conducted by the community service team. From the results of this dedication, it can be concluded that the existence of cultural heritage objects in the city of Semarang can still be maintained, by creating cultural heritage zones, and protection of cultural heritage objects in addition to using laws, will be more effective when using local regulations and empowering society in the economic field. Then the advice given is that the Semarang City government should make a policy that protects cultural heritage objects from business interests. Besides that, it is necessary to conduct socialization about the importance of cultural heritage objects for improving the welfare of the community.

AbstractMotivated by the increased use of 3D acquisition of objects by cultural heritage institutions, we were investigating ontologies and metadata schemes for the acquisition process to provide details about the 3D capturing, which can be combined with preexisting ontologies describing an object. Therefore we divided the 3D capturing workflow into common steps starting with the object being placed in front of a 3D scanner to preparation and publication of the 3D datasets and/or derived images. While the proposed ontology is well defined on a coarse level of detail for very different techniques, e.g. Stucture from Motion and LiDAR we elaborated the metadata scheme in very fine detail for 3D scanners available at our institutions. This includes practical experiments with measurement data from past and current projects including datasets published at Zenodo as guiding examples and the source code for their computation. Additionally, the free and Open Source GigaMesh Software Framework’s analysis and processing methods have been extended to provide metadata about the 3D processing steps like mesh cleaning as well as 2D image generation. Finally, we discuss the current limitations and give an outlook about future extensions.

The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the main geodetic databases of Lithuania and to create a geodetic database of cultural heritage objects in Klaipėda using program ArcGIS 9.3. The problem is that the geodetic database storing graphical and attributive information about cultural heritage in Klaipeda city has not been created yet. Thus, in order to incorporate GIS technologies into the management of cultural heritage, starting the creation of such a database seems to be a relevant point. The fully completed and regularly updated geodetic database can be used for cultural heritage management, planning, design, road construction, etc. Therefore, the following objectives have been set: 1) describing geo-data collection and input devices; 2) stimulating the geodetic database that introduces information about buildings, building complexes, cemeteries, locations of archaeological and cultural heritage; 3) giving a detailed description of the database creation process; 4) analyzing the need for establishing a geodetic database of cultural heritage objects in Klaipėda. Santrauka Lietuvoje GIS pagrindu sukurta daug įvairiems tikslams skirtų georeferencinių bei teminių erdvinių duomenų rinkinių. Viena iš šių rinkinių panaudojimo sričių – valstybės registruose esančių duomenų kaupimas. Tokiu principu yra sukurta Kultūros vertybių registro duomenų bazė, kurios pagrindiniai duomenys buvo panaudoti kuriant Klaipėdos miesto kultūros paveldo objektų erdvinių duomenų rinkinį. Siekiant kuo operatyviau įtraukti GIS technologijas į kultūros paveldo objektų tvarkybą, aktualu Klaipėdoje pradėti kurti kultūros paveldo objektų erdvinių duomenų rinkinį. Nuolat atnaujinamas erdvinių duomenų rinkinys palengvins įvairių sričių specialistų atliekamus kultūros paveldo objektų administravimo, teritorijų planavimo, projektavimo, kelių tiesimo ir kitus darbus.
