IT outsourcing has emerged as an important tool for enabling organizations to gain access to specific skills and services, focus on their core competencies, and reduce the cost of IT service provision. With the increasing number of IT outsourcing failures, it is timely to identify the determinants of IT outsourcing satisfaction. This study investigates the types of IT function outsourced and examines the factors influencing customer satisfaction in IT outsourcing in Malaysian small- and medium-enterprises. Using an email questionnaire survey, data are collected from 100 firms listed on the Directory of Small and Medium Enterprises in Malaysia. Drawing from Domberger’s Theory of the Contracting Organization, four hypotheses are developed and tested in this study. Using the PLS path modelling technique, the findings show that focus on core competency, cost reduction, access to IT expertise and skills, and flexibility are positively related to customer satisfaction in IT outsourcing. The paper includes implications and recommendations for future studies.

There is hardly any organization today that would disagree with the notion that people are the indispensable asset of any organization, which endows it with significant competitive advantage. Internal Customer Satisfaction is an assessment of how contended the worker is with his job or work environment. Happy and satisfied workers are likely to produce more, take less leaves, and stay loyal to the company. The importance of human capital in MSMEs has been posited by a number of authors (e.g. Wells et al., 2003; Neace, 1999) and has been linked to important outcome variables including quality, customer service, and productivity (Penning; Edelman et al., 2002). This paper explores the various facets of employee satisfaction in MSME's of Varanasi.

The majority of software development organizations all over the world are small and medium enterprises. These organizations have realized that it is crucial for their business to improve their processes and working methods but they are lacking the knowledge and resources to do it. Successful implementation of SPI methodologies in small and medium-sized software enterprises (SMEs) is generally not possible because such organizations are not capable of investing the cost of implementing these programs. Limited resources and strict deadlines to complete the projects make it further difficult to implement SPI programs which can also affect quality issues in software project. There are various SPI methodologies to address these issues which have been also deployed in these organizations. In this paper, recent and significant SPI methodologies (OWPL, ASPE-MSC, iFLAP, PRISMS, SPM, MESOPYME) for SMEs are compared and discussed. This will facilitate the maturity of software process improvement in SMEs, standardization and also contribute in the development of automation tools for SPIs in future.

This research begins with the development of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) which is an illustration of strengthening regional potential. Developing MSMEs can improve services to consumers in order to create buying interest. The benchmarks that are assessed through the level of confidence in a product directly aim to analyze customer interest. In this study, it is explained that customer interest is product quality, service quality, price, and cost which are closely related to meeting the service needs of the Tebing Tinggi Business Clinic (KLIBI) assisted them. The method used is the canonical analysis method which is a multivariate model that studies the relationship between the dependent variable set varied from the independent variable set. The data characteristics for canonical correlation are metric data, namely interval or ratio data. The research result gained that responsiveness and concern give the significant effect on the cost so that customers want to buy continuously. For the recommendation, The Government needs to improve the quality of product endorsement among Tebing Tinggi and Indonesian consumers by making the program business promotion and international exhibitions through KLIBI.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have very significant contribution to economic growth of the countries as more than 95% of companies worldwide and employment are represented by the SMEs industries. Therefore, in increasing the harmonization of reporting standard of SMEs, Malaysia is moving aggressively towards the efforts by introducing the Malaysian Private Entity Reporting Standard (MPERS) for SMEs starting from 1st January 2016 onwards. MPERS is seen to bring opportunities to the business as it is adoption of international standard that has been designed to fits the local needs and the customization to the Malaysian business environment could ensure comparability of the locals with the international business. Hence, this research attempt to 1) examine the perceptions of accounting practitioners on MPERS implementation and 2) identify the problems encountered in applying MPERS in SMEs. This study provides pioneering evidence on the problems of the practitioners encountered when applying the MPERS through the 176 questionnaires survey that have been distributed to the accounting practitioners that involve with MPERS implementation for SMEs in Malaysia. The insights and perceptions obtained highlighting new dimensions to the inherent problem such as issues of consistency and guidance in applying the MPERS with the cost-effective manner. Thus, the issues of differences in judgements among the practitioners become a phenomenon in relation to the application of MPERS for SMEs. The findings of this study are of interest to standard setters and SMEs stakeholders in Malaysia and other countries.

<p>This paper aims to present the benefits of enterprise resource planning (ERP) service over traditional ERP through the development of ERP in the form of software-as-a-service<br />(SaaS). This service is published in response to the fact that traditional ERP is rarely implemented in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Saudi Arabia due to the high<br />cost and risk of implementation failure. This paper can be used to encourage SMEs in Saudi Arabia to exploit ERP service. ERP service can be accessed by client via any<br />programming interface over an Internet connection without special configuration, thus highlighting the core competencies of the SMEs. As a prove of concept, the stock service<br />is published as a concrete ERP service. Two types of application were developed to access the service: desktop and smartphone based application. Based on a simple qualitative<br />assessment, it is acknowledged that ERP service is advantageous over traditional ERP systems in terms of its scalability, agile implementation, global accessibility,<br />mobility, low operational costs, lack of upfront costs, best practices, rapid upgrading, and interoperability among other services.</p>

In view of low efficiency and high cost during the operation of the manufacturing and assembly line to redistribute workpieces, this paper presents a logistical balancing method based on time and costs in manufacturing and assembly line. The workpieces are selected in a short time by use of database and spreadsheet. The iterative computation will stop when the expense is higher than benefit. This method is especially suitable for the small and medium enterprises which can not burden the re-program cost. An example about Harbin HBC Value Co. Ltd is given to explain the logistical balancing method. The results show that the implementation of this logistics balancing method offer the way to improve the efficiency of vacant time by 62.6% and the cost of product is reduced greatly.

Introduction. Innovative entrepreneurship is one of the applied spheres, in which the implementation of core competencies: knowledge and skills from other areas is complicated nowadays due to challenges and rapid changes. Management systems for small and medium-sized enterprises are not so classical now, but horizontal and, what most importantly – flexible, agile is. Thus, it is proposed to turn to modern models of people management to increase the effectiveness of companies and institutions for future economy development. Aim and tasks. The article appeals to management innovation and the use of the “mobility gap” as one of the most discussed economic problems that are necessary for the urban areas and require an appropriate solution development. The proposal is to use smart logistics for an effective people management system for innovative small and medium enterprises to zoom the weight of the cluster unit. The assertion that the increasing impact of horizontal management in outsourcing services is the way for further development and modernization of tax policy for the local economy. Results. In the nearest future, the character of the local economy will change as communities develops cities, improving the quality of life, ensuring safety and neighbourhood policy and stimulating creative development. And it will create opportunities for cutting-edge initiatives, entrepreneurship and local municipalities, as well as developing relationships and competencies based on innovation and creative interaction between stakeholders in the new digital reality, while remaining people-centred. It is proposed to introduce management innovations into the management system according to the developed model according to the agile method of modernization: “to do” – list; "in progress" and motivation; “to verify” – monitoring; “done” – analysis; and business scaling. And to customize services, it is necessary the high quality achieving, speed that meets the needs of the market, and the quick creating of unique innovations. Conclusions. This methodology has been tested by the project – Erasmus 2020, despite the “lockdown” conditions, by the open data project “City Code” with the aim of creating conditions for sustainable urban development by combining: talents, technologies, tolerance, and should be used to people management of small and medium-sized innovative enterprises.

In Vietnam, as a result of limited financial competence, it is quite normal for small and medium enterprises to acquire loans from credit institutions, mostly under pledge and mortgage agreements. With the purpose of fostering economic growth, it is, therefore, very important to help individuals and businesses gain access to credit and increase the credit availability for them. In order to do so, obviously the possibility of predicting the time and cost involved in the realization of their security rights should be clearly seen by creditors through clear and effective regulations on enforcement or particularly on the foreclosure of collateral. In fact, Vietnamese laws on secured transactions has recently been developed under the Civil Code 2015, adding two new security devices which are retention of title and retention of property. The new code also clearly distinguishing security devices which have the characteristic of personal rights and real rights as well as perfects the mechanism of effectiveness against third parties. The paper focuses on presenting the differences between the foreclosure o pledged and mortgaged property in French laws and in Vietnamese laws and suggests some modifications to Vietnamese relevant statutes to protect the rights of both debtors and creditors in pledge and mortgage transactions, learning from French practices. Recommendations include a more active role of the securing party in serurity right enforcement process under judicial supervision, the court's involvement in property value appraisal, an extra-judicial mechanism for creditors for collaterall repossession and a provision setting forth an obligation of the secured party to diligently and effectively exploit the secured property to earn maximum fruit and incomes and deduct such amount from the interest and original loan.
