This paper presents a model of business improvement management of the company's organizational system. This model is implemented through the developed structural and logical model of value management of the organizational system, based on the concepts of the World and Russian Quality Awards and the ISO 9000 series standards. It presents tools such as cultural regulation, rules of joint activity, motivation system, administrative regulation and evaluation of the implementation of concepts for improving the company's organizational system. The formalization of the management model, which takes into account all the factors influencing sustainable development, is a multi-stage mathematical model that works with a given tolerance to achieve the planned criteria in a continuous mode. The criteria for the development of the company's organizational system are formed based on the strategy and policy in accordance with the accumulated experience. Based on the analysis of the previous five-year development and modern capabilities of the company's organizational system, a strategic indicator of the degree of development is determined for each criterion. With the help of the proposed model, an assessment is made for: - integral indicators of the company's organizational system in relation to working with the consumer; - indicators of total leadership of the organizational system and its personnel; - indicators of the total use of the talent and creativity of the staff; - integral indicators of the flexibility of the organization's management. The proposed model of business improvement management of the company's organizational system allows to: - flexibly organize the optimal effective work of the company's organizational system, using the most relevant tools; - continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the development of the company's organizational system in accordance with modern concepts of business improvement.

With the advancement of machine learning, credit scoring can be performed better. As one of the widely recognized machine learning methods, ensemble learning has demonstrated significant improvements in the predictive accuracy over individual machine learning models for credit scoring. This study proposes a novel multi-stage ensemble model with multiple K-means-based selective undersampling for credit scoring. First, a new multiple K-means-based undersampling method is proposed to deal with the imbalanced data. Then, a new selective sampling mechanism is proposed to select the better-performing base classifiers adaptively. Finally, a new feature-enhanced stacking method is proposed to construct an effective ensemble model by composing the shortlisted base classifiers. In the experiments, four datasets with four evaluation indicators are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed model, and the experimental results prove the superiority of the proposed model over other benchmark models.

With the rapid development of commercial credit mechanisms, credit funds have become fundamental in promoting the development of manufacturing corporations. However, large-scale, imbalanced credit application information poses a challenge to accurate bankruptcy predictions. A novel multi-stage ensemble model with fuzzy clustering and optimized classifier composition is proposed herein by combining the fuzzy clustering-based classifier selection method, the random subspace (RS)-based classifier composition method, and the genetic algorithm (GA)-based classifier compositional optimization method to achieve accuracy in predicting bankruptcy among corporates. To overcome the inherent inflexibility of traditional hard clustering methods, a new fuzzy clustering-based classifier selection method is proposed based on the mini-batch k-means algorithm to obtain the best performing base classifiers for generating classifier compositions. The RS-based classifier composition method was applied to enhance the robustness of candidate classifier compositions by randomly selecting several subspaces in the original feature space. The GA-based classifier compositional optimization method was applied to optimize the parameters of the promising classifier composition through the iterative mechanism of the GA. Finally, six datasets collected from the real world were tested with four evaluation indicators to assess the performance of the proposed model. The experimental results showed that the proposed model outperformed the benchmark models with higher predictive accuracy and efficiency.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to define what factors cause willingness and/or resistance among lecturers in universities towards external evaluation systems, especially accreditation.Design/methodology/approachA model has been designed to describe possible factors of willingness and/or resistance towards accreditation based on Ajzen and Metselaar. A literature review has been undertaken on the effects of external evaluation like ISO 9000 as well as accreditation systems such as Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology and European Quality Improvement System. A questionnaire has been administered to a group of 63 lecturers from three departments at Fontys University in The Netherlands. The results of this preliminary survey have been presented to 1,500 academics in The Netherlands and Flanders to collect empirical data.FindingsResistance to accreditation can be found in the consequences of accreditation for the work of the lecturer (workload), negative emotions (stress and insecurity); the lack of knowledge and experience (help from specialists is needed); and lack of acceptance (other paradigm).Originality/valueThe paper provides more insight into the difficulties that organizations, especially universities, have to commit their employees to external evaluation. It might be possible to generalize the findings to other professionals in other organizations. Little research in this field has been undertaken so far.

Hitherto, the presented models for measuring the efficiency score of multi-stage decision-making units (DMUs) either are nonlinear or require to specify the weights for combining their divisional efficiencies. The nonlinearity leads to high computational complexity for these models, especially when used for problems with enormous dimensions, and also assigning various weights to the divisional efficiencies causes to obtain different efficiency scores for the multi-stage network system. To tackle these problems, this study contributes to network DEA by introducing a novel enhanced Russell graph (ERG) efficiency measure for evaluating the general two-stage series network structures. Then, the proposed model is extended into the general multi-stage series network structures. This study also describes the managerial and economic implications of measuring the efficiency score of the multi-stage DMUs and provides two numerical and empirical examples for illustrating the use of our proposed model.

This paper presents adjustable speed generators for wind turbines. In order to improve the potential and performance of wind turbine system this paper proposes a concept DFIG. Generally wind nature is not fixed it varies linearly w.r.t time, hence, a MPPT controller is proposed in this paper. This paper presents the DFIG wind energy system. A Control strategy implemented and controlled by framing rotor reference frame axis in terms of direct and quadrature axis coordinates. A PI based RSC and GSC controllers are introduced to control the power through the wind system to grid. This proposed model is implemented and verified by using Matlab/Simulink.

The paper deals with the implementation of the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) model. By implementing the WCM, it is possible to reduce costs in manufacturing operations by removing elements that does not bring added value, or generate losses, waste or even lead to accidents and errors. WCM as a management model includes its own methods and tools that enable the company to achieve profit and a competitive advantage based on the principle of "producing the highest quality products at low prices". The WCM model is based on four concepts to achieve zero waste, zero accidents, zero failures and zero stocks. A prerequisite for the development of the WCM model is the improvement of the company's organizational system in order to achieve a global level of competitiveness.

Focus on the problem of dynamic authorization access control of Distributed Multi-Organization Management Information System (DMOMIS), the system resources are divided into two kinds: relatively independent resources and shared resources. These two kinds of resources were used different authorization system to authorize. The relatively independent resources were authorized by using distributed authorization system (DA), and the similar and shared resources were authorized by using authorized system (A). According to the key terms definition, the system hypothesis and the idea of dynamic programming, then the dynamic authorization access control process of DMOMIS was abstracted as a multi stage users authorization process based on resources, and put out the dynamic authorization access control strategy model of DMOMIS, at last, depicted its execution process.

Since the nature of the shipyard differs from general industry, a shipyard strategy formulation model has been developed based on its own business characteristics. This paper presents a proposed environment-based strategy formulation model for medium-sized shipyards. A questionnaire survey of the industry's stakeholders was carried out to identify the internal and external strategic factors of the shipyard's businesses. By using multivariate factor analysis, the strategic factors were identified in both new building and ship repair. The results were then used to develop business environment submodels and a shipyard business matrix. These industry based models were integrated into a shipyard strategy formulation model called YARDSTRAT. Its application and evaluation in two shipyards show that the proposed model could produce more comprehensive strategic options to sustainable competitive advantage for the companies.
