The healthcare systems in China and globally have faced serious challenges during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The shortage of beds in traditional hospitals has exacerbated the threat of COVID-19. To increase the number of available beds, China implemented a special public health measure of opening mobile cabin hospitals. Mobile cabin hospitals, also called Fangcang shelter hospitals, refer to large-scale public venues such as indoor stadiums and exhibition centers converted to temporary hospitals. This study is a mini review of the practice of mobile cabin hospitals in China. The first part is regarding emergency preparedness, including site selection, conversion, layout, and zoning before opening the hospital, and the second is on hospital management, including organization management, management of nosocomial infections, information technology support, and material supply. This review provides some practical recommendations for countries that need mobile cabin hospitals to relieve the pressure of the pandemic on the healthcare systems.

Spiral management and its principles are based on the long-term successful existence of living systems. The principles can be applied to the enterprise and organization management. Living systems manage long-term success by acquiring energy from their surroundings (through nutrition), while enterprises acquire customers and employees' energy in order to eliminate entropy (in enterprises manifested as economic losses). Spiral management is based on the synergy of living systems. It describes behavior patterns in the cyclical development of enterprises as well as the ability of the latter to diagnose their own strategic decisions, including the instructions of how to drive an enterprise towards a long-term success. The chapter describes theoretical basis of spiral management while providing a novel insight into this unique managerial approach and emphasizing its importance for the human resources management. Also introduced are the elements of spiral management applied in the enterprises that want to be competitive and survive turbulent periods.

The article has as a starting point the presentation and analysis of the advantages of spatial organization of enterprises, as a management method. Thus, we analyze: creating the optimal conditions for the rhythmic realization of the production process; ensuring greater flexibility in the use of means of production; the possibility of carrying out a maintenance and repair activity of the equipment without disturbing the technological production process; ensuring an efficient management of the production unit. We also analyze, critically and comparatively, the disadvantages of spatial organization, such as: the need for a high qualification of workers; the need for a very high volume of transport and handling; technical quality control is much more complex in the conditions of a diversified production; the production cycle of manufactured products is long.

Currently, domestic researchers pay much attention to the development of provisions on projects in the activities of organizations, their impact on the efficiency of organizations and the development of new provisions related to project management and organization of project activities. However, the definitions of projects and project management often given by domestic researchers are not linked to the key concepts of the theory of organization management, which leads to the fact that the provisions given by domestic researchers often have no practical application. The article systematizes approaches to defining the essence of projects in the activities of organizations, considers the reasons why projects and project activities become relevant for organizations in a competitive environment, as well as problems and their tasks in the activities of commercial organizations.

In the last few decades the relevance of knowledge management to organizations has become increasingly apparent. However, there are varying levels of emphasis on researching different aspects of this multidimensional construct.  One such dimension is knowledge sharing, which is extensively researched from an impact perspective but with limited research on understand dynamic interactions of actors. In this research, we aim to explore factors influencing knowledge sharing among top and middle managers during the strategy communication process. We further draw on the concept of ‘ba’ as an alternative interpretive tool for understanding managerial interaction dynamics. Adopting a qualitative approach, 32 semi-structured interviews were conducted across a single case Kuwaiti public sector ministry and collated data presented as a thematic narrative to capture managerial perspectives. The findings indicate that organizations benefit more from aligning heterogenous groups within common collective spaces, and that social spaces or contexts are critically important for sharing knowledge pertinent to successful execution of strategies. Furthermore, the propensity to share knowledge was found to be dependent on the tribal affiliations of individual actors, and knowledge sharing dispositions was impacted by prejudices and social stereotypes. The research proposes practical considerations for organization management to foster knowledge exchange among the workforce.
