This study was conducted to explore physical education students’ intrinsic motivation and clarify the influence mechanism of cooperative learning methods on learning intrinsic motivation through meta-analysis. In accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) criteria, we screened literature from the years 2000–2020. The included literature underwent bias analysis on the basis of the five criteria proposed herein. Data were extracted and summarized from the included literature to analyze the causality before and after cooperative learning intervention. Statistical analysis was conducted to determine principal factors affecting physical education students’ learning intrinsic motivation. Simultaneously, the influencing mechanism of cooperative learning on physical education students’ intrinsic motivation was clarified. Results revealed that intrinsic motivation had a high total effect amount. In the experimental group, only three documents determined the significant influence of cooperative learning on physical education students’ intrinsic motivation. Moreover, the time and age differences needed to be considered thoroughly during the intervention. Therefore, cooperative learning intervention can improve physical education students’ intrinsic motivation significantly, and meta-analysis provided a theoretical foundation for applying cooperative learning to the teaching of physical education majors.

In general, the purpose of this action research study is to improve learning outcomes of dribbling in a football game through a play approach to physical education. In addition, this study was conducted to obtain information about the application of the play approach for grade VI elementary school students and find out the effectiveness, efficiency and improvement of learning outcomes of dribbling in football games for physical education for 6th grade elementary school students. This action research research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were grade VI students of SD Negeri Janji, North Sumatra. To test the effectiveness of playing approach patterns can be seen from psychomotor data and results of dribbling tests in football games. In the results of the previous learning test (pre-test) obtained 30% of the expected criteria. While the level of effectiveness in the pre-test through the play approach was obtained 70% of the suggested criteria. Then proceed through the pattern of playing approaches in the game of football, the level of effectiveness in the post test obtained 86% of the expected criteria, meaning an increase of 66%. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that: (1) with a play approach to physical education, students can learn more effectively and efficiently, and improve learning outcomes dribbling. (2) with a play approach pattern, students are more motivated and active in following the learning process.

We examined structural relationships between physical education students' social support and social self-esteem, depression, and happiness. Participants (N = 311) completed measures of perceived social support from parents, professors, and peers, and of the students' levels of depression, happiness, and self-esteem. Results showed that parents', professors', and peers' social support were significant antecedent variables that increased the students' self-esteem, that parents' and professors' social support were associated with lower depression, and that high self-esteem was associated with greater happiness and lower depression. The latter association, however, was not significant. Results indicated that social support and high self-esteem are useful resources that help college students live happy lives by promoting positive emotions.

This study aimed to improve the results of basketball chest pass learning which had a low success rate. Based on the above problems, it was necessary to make improvements in the lecture process, so that the learning outcomes target reached the KKM score. The success of lecturing was when the KKM value set by the study program achieved. The type of research was classroom action research with research subject students who took part in basketball lectures and lecturers who taught basketball courses. The population in this study was the Physical Education Study Program at FKIP University of Dehasen Bengkulu, the sample was the Physical Education Study Program for Semester V Class A1. Chest pass was given at the beginning of the lecture, but students still had difficulties in demonstrating chest passes. Thus this matter was considered important to improve the learning outcomes. This research was conducted on the basis of the level of success of students in basketball lectures was still low when without variations in drill exercise. In this study there was 1 colleague as an observer who was in charge of providing assessment and all findings from observers were discussed together to find out how to solve problems in the process of improving the results of basketball chest pass learning. The results of this study indicated that through the application of variations in drill exercise there was an increase in the results of physical education students' FK basketball chest pass at the University of Bengkulu FKIP.
