Digital India is one of the vital initiatives introduced by our Indian Government to “Develop the online infrastructure” and to make sure that the Services given to the citizens by the government is available to them digitally. The target year to transform digital in all the sectors is set us 2020 and it is expected to happen based on successful adoption of information technology.Adopting information technology results in „Digital Transformation‟ and it is realized as the needful change of the hour by the entrepreneurs in all the sectors. Though the large scale organisations are comparatively in ready state for Digital transformation, most of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have their own challenges in adopting information technology. This article has included the prime challenges in information technology adoption such as digital Illiteracy, connectivity, compatibility, cybercrime threat, inter departmental co-ordination, financial affordability and resistance to change Mind set. In spite of all these challenges, digital transformation is identified as unavoidable and vital in the present business scenario. Hence, the researcher has taken an attempt to identify the influencers and inhibitors involved in the process of information technology adoption among the SMEs in Tamilnadu State by analysing their demographic and organisational variables. The research results interpret about the digital perception of the SMEs, their difficulties and readiness to adopt information technology. The research findings highlight the prevailing need for digital literacy and better connectivity for better digital transformation.

This study aimed to investigate the impact of perceived characteristics on Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) and few other factors through information technology (IT) adoption on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) performance. This paper summarized and synthesized relevant literature and mainly contributed to the Diffusion of Innovation theory. Other than the perceived characteristics of Diffusion of Innovation, the literature on organizational image, technology readiness, and organizational awareness were explored in relation to IT adoption to enhance SMEs performance. The outcome of this paper would inform especially on Malaysian researchers to further analyze the theory of Diffusion of Innovation on SME context. Organizational image, technology readiness, and organizational awareness are the eye opener for future researchers to explore more on these issues. It was proposed that, a questionnaire to be distribute among manufacturing SMEs in Malaysia and the data is analyze using Smart PLS. It is expected that the perceived characteristic of diffusion of innovation, organizational image, technology readiness, and organizational awareness are the factors to be considered in information technology adoption to enhance SMEs performance.

Use of information technology in general is very important for the development of the organization. Likewise, if the development of information technology can be applied to the small and medium business sector, so that it can increase the selling value of the sector. This research was conducted to answer the readiness of the SMEs sector in adopting information technology developments in business management. In this case the researcher develops the research model by adopting the technology readiness model and information technology adoption model in the context of technology and environment, combining and adjusting it according to the development of SMEs in Jakarta. This quantitative study involved 67 samples from MSME workers. Data was processed and analyzed using the PLS-SEM method using SmartPLS 2.0 software. The study also explained the results of the readiness factor which has a significant relationship to the utilization of information technology in SMEs in Jakarta

West Nusa Tenggara ’NTB’ is a region of the golden triangle stripe of tourism destination located between Komodo island and Tana Toraja. As the industry backing for small and middle scale businesses getting grow up and have got governmental supporting since economical crises hit Indonesia at the end 1997. In fact, many of those who have not yet optimize the information technology (IT) in running their business. The approach to meet the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with the proper customer or to find the proper raw material seller is through the media.  Development of internet technology is so rapid, it is a necessity of SMEs using it as a business communications medium, because Internet utility for e-commerce complement has long been developed in both national and international scope.  Furthermore, the research elaborates the integrated e-commerce model and SMEs as an information technology-based model of integrated marketing strategy besides, software creation and its implementation on SMEs in Mataram municipality.  E-commerce and SMEs were designed to use System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concerning the safety sistem, flowcart diagram and data base design aspects.
