Coal mining companies require large investments to carry out their operational activities. This large investment must be accompanied by a solvable capital structure policy. A solvable capital structure supports the company in carrying out efficient asset turnover activities and obtaining ever-growing profitability. This study aims to analyze the causality relationship of Debt to Equity Ratio Before to Total Asset Turn-Over, and Return On Asset. This research is an explanatory study of causality with a quantitative approach. This study considers the principle of going concern and agency theory in which in making sustainable financial decisions from year to year there can be differences in interests between the main stakeholders internally. This study involved data from nine coal companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2013 to 2018 which were selected by purposive sampling with the consideration of the availability of data on the variables studied. The results of this study indicate that the debt to equity ratio before directly has a significant negative effect on total asset turnover, but it has no significant effect on return on assets when controlled by total asset turnover. Total asset turnover has a significant positive effect on return on assets, it has a significant fully positive mediation effect on the debt to equity ratio before. In further research, expected to include other variables as independent variables, such as asset structure, include the fractional elements of total asset turnover, for example, current asset turnover and fixed asset management. Keywords: Debt to equity ratio before, total asset turnover, return on asset

The design of this study is causal associative. The population of this study includes all Manufacturing Companies of the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2011-2017. Sample selection techniques using purposive sampling method and research data obtained by 20 companies. The data analysis technique is done by using Descriptive Statistical Analysis, Classic assumption test which includes normality test, autocorrelation test, heteroscedasticity test and multicollinearity test, Multiple Linear Regression Test and Model Feasibility Test which include Determination Coefficient Test, T test and F Test. The research results partially show the Current Ratio has a negative and not significant effect on Return on Assets. Total Asset Turnover and company size have a positive and significant effect on Return on Assets, and Debt to Equity Ratio has a negative and significant effect on Return on Assets. But Simultaneously it is known that CR, TATO, DER and Size have a significant effect on ROA.

This study was conducted to examine the effect of Debt to Asset Ratio, Return on Assets, Total Asset Turnover and Current Ratio on the growth of manufacturing profits in the consumer goods industry sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2016 - 2019. Data collection techniques used were documentation using data secondary. The data analysis method used is a quantitative method with associative and descriptive method approaches. The analysis technique used is multiple regression and hypothesis testing using partial t-test and F test simultaneously. In addition, a classic assumption test which includes a normality test, a multicollinearity test, an autocorrelation test and a heteroscedasticity test are performed. The classic assumption test shows that if this study does not find any distorted variables that meet the requirements of the multiple linear regression equation model. The samples used were 25 companies in 4 periods, 100 samples. The results showed that Total Asset Turnover partially affected earnings growth. Debt to Asset Ratio, Return on Asset, Total Asset Turnover and Current Ratio influence simultaneously earnings growth.

Abstract— Profit is one of company’s performance indicator and it will give good signal to investor when it increases. Based on previous studies, there are some financial ratios that have effects toward change in profit such as current ratio, return on asset (ROA), total asset turnover (TATO), and debt to asset ratio (DTA). This research aims to find the effect of current ratio, ROA, TATO and DTA towards change in profit. Manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2016-2019 is the object of this research and purposive sampling as a sampling method. There are several criterias for sample selection such as published an audited financial statement for 4 years consecutive in 2016-2019; using Rupiah as a currency report in Financial statement; and has profit for 4 years consecutive in 2016-2019. There are 27 companies that meet all the criterias. The result of this research were (1) current ratio and debt to total asset had no significant effect towards changes in profit, (2) return on asset had a positive significant effect towards changes in profit, (3) total asset turnover had a negative significant effect towards changes in profit. Current ratio has no significant effect due to gain of intangible assets, gain of unrealized foreign exchange and financial income. The reason for debt to total asset is because the increase of liability is in line with the increase of asset, especially fixed assets. When fixed assets expand, total sales have increase along with profit change   Keywords: Changes in Profit; Current Ratio; Debt to Asset Ratio; Return on Asset; Total Asset Turnover

This study was conducted to test the variable Current Ratio (CR), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Operating Margin Ratio (OMR), Return On Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA) and Total Asset Turn Over (tattoo) to changing profit. Data obtained by the method of purposive sampling criteria (1) Telecommunications Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and consistently throughout the study period (2003 to 2010) and Telecommunication Company that provides the data of financial statements during the study period (2003 to 2010). The analysis showed that the data used in this study have been normally distributed and satisfy the classical assumptions, which include: there is no autocorrelation, no symptoms of multicollinearity, and no symptoms hetereskedasitas. From the results of regression analysis showed that the variables Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Operating Margin Ratio (OMR) partially significant effect on change in earnings. While the variable Current Ratio (CR), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA) and Total Asset Turn Over (TATTOO) no significant effect on changes in earnings. The six variables used in the study jointly affect changes in earnings. Predictive capability of the six variables simultaneously is equal to 36.4%.
