The 2013 curriculum focuses on active learning by scientific approach. Students are expected to be able to construct an understanding of the subject matter through scientific steps, namely observing, asking questions, gathering information, associating and communicating. This is inseparable from the teaching materials used in the learning process. Based on this, this research was conducted to develop a science module based on a scientific approach on the material of life organization systems for grade 7th junior high school students. This type of research is research and development (R and D) using the Plomp development model which consists of the preliminary research stage, the development or prototyping phase and the assessment phase. The initial investigation stage includes curriculum analysis, problem analysis and learning, and analysis of teaching materials. The development stage includes the design and development of a prototype, and the assessment stage includes practicality and effectiveness testing. However, in conducting research in the current Covid-19 pandemic season, researchers have limited it to the stage of developing prototypes that are validated by experts (expert validity). The research data is primary data obtained from a validity questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. Based on the research that has been done, a valid science module based on a scientific approach has been produced on the material of life organization systems for grade 7th junior high school students with a validity value of 95.6%. Thus, it can be concluded that the science module based on the scientific approach developed by the researcher has very valid criteria.

This research aims to determine the online learning constraints of Junior High School students in Nganjuk on science subjects. The change in learning methods that were originally carried out face-to-face to online learning experienced several obstacles such as internet connection, lack of enthusiasm for learning, difficult materials, unclear teaching materials, and teacher’s teaching methods. The type of this research is descriptive survey research, the data of this research was obtained from 70 junior high school students in Nganjuk. The data collection technique in this research was a questionnaire (questionnaire) while the instrument used in this research was an online Google Form questionnaire, which is distributed through the WhatsApp application. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the most common obstacle felt by junior high school students in Nganjuk was the lack attractiveness of teaching materials.

The teaching material for Physics based on collaborative creativity learning (CCL) model is by design to improve scientific creativity, collaborative skills, and science process skills of junior high school students. The focus of this research is to analyze the teaching materials based on CCL model in terms of their validity (content and construct, reliable) and effectiveness to improve students’ scientific creativity in the science lesson, particularly for Physics education. The validity and effectiveness of the teaching material were measured by using Validation Assessment Sheet (VAS) and Scientific Creativity Assessment Sheet (SCAS). The data were analysed through mean validity score, Cronbach’s coefficient alpha, Wilcoxon test, N-gain, and Mann Whitney test. The results of this study include: (1) validity of the the CCL-based teaching materials for Physics fulfill validity criteria (valid and reliable); (2) in terms of components of validity, the CCL-based teaching materials for Physics: (a) there is an increase of students’ scientific creativity with the alpha of α = 0.05, (b) the average score of students’ scientific creativity was in medium category, and (c) there is no significant different improvement (consistent) of scientific creativity skills in all groups. The implication of this developmental research of CCL-based teaching materials for Physics has proven to be valid and effective to increase the scientific creativity of junior high school students, particularly in Motions and Simple Machine chapters.

Abstrak: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry-based science teaching materials (BAIPABIT) on the ability to argue junior high school students. This research was conducted in class VII of Suralaga 1 Public Middle School in the odd semester 2018/2019 academic year. The sample of 43 students was divided into two research classes, the control class and the experimental class. The type of research used is an experimental study with pre testpost test group design. Data analysis on the effectiveness of BAIPABIT on students 'ability to argue by using normalized gain indexes and students' classical completeness. The results showed that the N-Gain score in the control class was 30.77% and the experimental class was 57.57% and the classical completeness analysis showed that the classical completeness of the control class was 33.33% and the experimental class was 72.73%. This proves that guided inquiry based science material (BAIPABIT) is more effective in improving the ability to argue junior high school students than teaching materials commonly used by teachers. Kata Kunci :  Science Teaching Materials, Guided Inquiry, Argument ability

This study aims to describe the validity and responses of students to the development of a science literacy-based pocket book on global warming material for seventh grade of junior high school students. This research is a type of Research and Development which refers to the 4-D Thiagarajan model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The data collection instrument used a validation questionnaire conducted by the validators (materials, media and users) and a student response questionnaire through two stages, namely a small- scale response test and a large-scale response test. Based on the results of validation by material validators, media validators and users (teachers) were declared very valid with an average percentage of the three validators of 92.12%. The results of the responses of small-scale students were 96.45%. The large scale of 88.24% showed that the responses of students were very interesting to the development of a science literacy-based pocket book on global warming materials for junior high school students.
