This study aims to examine the organizational communication control strategy carried out by the Purwokerto Branch of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) to demonstrate the Ratification of the Job Creation Bill (Omnibus Law). The method used is descriptive qualitative using organizational control theory as a theoretical framework. The results showed that the involvement of the Purwokerto Branch of HMI in the Omnibus Law demonstration was a critical intellectual movement that arranged forward a constitutional approach. The simple control aspect is implemented through a three-layer communication mechanism. The solidarity of members towards the three layers of communication constructs communication conduct harmoniously. HMI uses two technical tools for technical control, specifically communication aids and internal identification tools as non-verbal symbols of the organization. There are strict controls to identify members in the demonstration through the symbol. Regarding bureaucracy, this organization prioritizes communication with local authorities regarding the fulfillment of formal rules before holding a demonstration. In addition, organizational procedures are also carefully considered, especially regarding consolidating the organization’s internal communications. Conservative control is implemented by strengthening interpersonal communication with active members or alumni networks spread across various professions. The organizational communication control strategy of the HMI Purwokerto Branch focuses on the harmonization of demonstrations that prioritize aspirational and implementation communication by emphasizing a constitutional approach.

Highlights A power shift control strategy based on torque and speed transition, which aims to deliver multiple target and multiparameter optimization of power shift control, is proposed in this study. It can effectively solve the shift power cycle. Based on minimum optimal control theory, the optimal control of shift quality during power shifting optimizes clutch terminal oil pressure, which is determined by solving the Rebecca differential matrix equation and shift characteristics based on various stages. By aiming at the multiple target and multiparameter optimization problem of the clutch control in the power shift process, the minimum optimal control principle is applied to the shift quality optimization of the power shift. Based on the minimum optimal control theory, the optimal solution of the terminal oil pressure of the clutch is determined by solving the Rebecca differential matrix equation to improve the shift quality of the power shift process. Abstract . The dual clutch of the combined transmission of a tractor with large horsepower uses a dynamic shifting process, in which only one clutch undergoes slipping friction during the shift. A power shift control strategy based on torque and speed transition, which aims to deliver multiple target and multiparameter optimization of power shift control, is proposed in this study. Based on minimum optimal control theory, the optimal control of shift quality during power shifting optimizes clutch terminal oil pressure, which is determined by solving the Rebecca differential matrix equation and shift characteristics based on various stages. In addition, the power shift simulation model of the double clutch is established. Simulation results show that the power shift control strategy based on single slip friction can effectively avoid power flow cycle, uninterruptible tractor power shift, and adaptive resistance change. The minimum optimization theory can effectively reduce the output torque fluctuation in the dynamic shift process, reduce friction work, and improve the shift impact. Keywords: Double clutch, Heavy-horsepower tractor, Minimum theory, Power shift.

Enterprise Systems are widespread in current organizations and seen as integrating organizational procedures across functional divisions. An Enterprise System, once installed, seems to enable or constrain certain actions by users, which have an impact on organizational operations. Those actions may result in increased organizational control, or may lead to organizational drift. The processes that give rise to such outcomes are investigated in this chapter, which is based on a field study of five companies. By drawing on the theoretical concepts of human and machine agencies, as well as the embedding and disembedding of information in the system, this chapter argues that control and drift arising from the use of an Enterprise System are outcomes of the processes of embedding and disembedding human actions, which are afforded (enabled or constrained) by the Enterprise System.

How does management talk the power walk in organizations? By giving straightforward orders since this is a traditional managerial prerogative which does not require an understanding of the subtleties of discourse and the finer aspects of interpersonal communication? Or should management avoid potentially face-threatening orders and concentrate on subtle and discreet manifestations of power in which discourse becomes an important tool when communicating with internal and external stakeholders?

The Corona virus disease, or pandemic, as we often use, has changed our entire daily life, professional life, and both personal and social routines. This change also caused the communication codes to change. None of us could have predicted that this rapid transformation would take place in just a few months, as we would be able to adapt so quickly. While social distance, masks, the anxiety caused by the virus and various prohibitions in interpersonal communication have reshaped our communication habits, meetings, interviews and corporate routines have been added to these issues in organizational communication.

This paper aims to contribute to the literature on knowledge construction and knowledge sharing within the field of organizational communication. The research underlines the importance of exploring human learning contextually, descriptively, interpretively, and inductively. Through a participant‑observer methodological approach, the study contributes to the literature by introducing detrivialization as a strategy to explore ’participants’ rhetoric related to their organizational procedures. The paper describes a case study that took place for 18 months in a cancer research lab in Belgium, where employees seemed unable to question several taken‑for‑granted practices. The present research primarily reveals the consequences of trivialization, when the rationale of essential organizational practices go unnoticed until observer‑participant challenges the status quo. Also, the study highlights the outcomes of the detrivialization approach, which triggers unprecedented knowledge. Finally, the paper introduces the (de)trivialization dynamic model, which can depict the consequences of opening black‑boxes in organizational contexts. This research is a new approach in organizational ethnomethodology, revisiting ’Garfinkel’s (1967) breaching experiment to describe science in action. The suggested model offers a methodological approach for exploring trivialized organizational dynamics and challenging groupthink. Detrivialization is an opposite approach to trivialization, to offer a new debate topic to scholars aiming to conduct ethnographic research and discourse analysis in organizational communication.

This study aims to determine the organizational control team of the TikaUdjo production program. The proposed research statement is what the organization controls on the TikaUdjo program production team. The theory that researchers use to obtain data uses organizational control theory. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a post-positivism paradigm. The research subjects are producers, assistant producers and broadcasters in obtaining accurate data, and the object of research is the control of the production team of the TikaUdjo program organization on Bahana Radio 101.8 FM Jakarta. Collecting data obtained through in-depth interviews and participant observation conducted on key informants and informants. Other data were obtained from Key Informants, informants, and various other data sources. The results of this study indicate that the TikaUdjo program production team at Radio Bahana 101.8 FM Jakarta consistently implements four concepts of organizational control theory by Phillip Tompkins, George Cheney, and their colleagues. The conclusion of this research is that the production team performs the four control theory concepts quite well, and it can be accounted for in which these four theoretical concepts are the processes that the production team does in producing the event program.
