AbstractThe problems experienced by children at the Muhammadiyah orphanage and the mosque's youth are they cannot and have not been able to develop their potential and develop their skills, focused on three main aspects of the problem, namely: (1) Understanding and Implementing Entrepreneurship, (2) Management of practicum / workshop materials in the development of skills, and (3) mastery and application of skills / crafts material. Problem solving activities carried out with the approach: Design, counseling, training / workshops, and implementation. The target that has been achieved is an increase in understanding in: (1) Understanding the meaning, concept, application, and development of entrepreneurship in opening new jobs or opening new businesses. (2) Products produced in the form of: learning media and work models, (3) identification of practicum materials using any media in the participant environment that can be affixed with tissue napkhin with decoupage techniques, (4) the work produced in the form of work has a use function value. There has been an increase in understanding from 40% to 80% of material controlled by orphanage children and Mosque youth. Keywords: entrepreneurship, decoupage.

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by many students who lack the ability and willingness to learn, so learning is something difficult and boring, especially mathematics, and considers mathematics to be a lesson that is less useful in everyday life. One of the causes is a sense of boredom, difficulties and fears of students towards mathematics and the presumption of the uselessness of mathematics in everyday life, especially geometry and measurement material. In the end it weakens the creativity and independence of students in learning. The purpose of this study was to improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of the surrounding and wide-area quadrilateral in students of class VII A in 33 State Junior High School Semarang by applying "Golden Route" as one of the Math Trail designs for learning outside the classroom. On the "Math Trail" map or each exploration point of instruction students can form, discuss, and solve interesting mathematical problems. Math Trail activities can be done alone or in groups to work together to solve problems. This research is a classroom action research covering 4 steps: planning, actuating, observation, and reflecting. The results showed that the results of the class average tests in the first and second cycles had increased from 73.66 to 75.05 and the percentage of students who received a minimum score of 67 was 23 students (74.19)% to 27 students (87.10 %). These results indicate an increase in the ability of material problem solving using the circumference formula and square area in solving problems through the application of "EMAS Routes" as one of the Math Trail designs in a mathematics learning. Keywords: problem solving, math trail design.

The paper explores the processes by which children use private speech to regulate their behaviors. The first part of the paper explores the ontological development of self-regulating private speech. The theories of Vygotsky and Luria are used to explain this development. The second part of the paper applies these theories to pedagogical settings. The process by which children are exposed to dialogue strategies that help them solve problems is outlined. The strategy has children posing and answering four questions: What is the problem? How will I solve it? Am I using the plan? How did it work? It is argued that this model helps children systematically mediate their problem solving processes.

This article presents a practical and collegial model of problem solving that is based upon the literature in supervision and cognitive learning theory. The model and the procedures it generates are applied directly to supervisory interactions in the public school environment. Specific principles of supervision and related recommendations for collaborative problem solving are discussed. Implications for public school supervision are addressed in terms of continued professional growth of both supervisees and supervisors, interdisciplinary team functioning, and renewal and retention of public school personnel.

The teaching procedures that are commonly used with language-disordered children do not entirely match the goals that they are intended to achieve. By using a problem-solving approach to teaching language rules, the procedures and goals of language teaching become more harmonious. Such procedures allow a child to create a rule to solve a simple language problem created for the child by a clinician who understands the conditions that control the operation of a rule.
