In this modern and developing era. Technology is also growing. The development of technology has become a driving process for all activities, including the existence of social media which is a bridge to connect with other people online or online. With social media, everyone has the convenience of communicating in languages that are interrelated and understand each other. Language is the main means of communication and also part of the occurrence of a dialogue together. That's why language is the main thing and the main thing for humans. The need to have good communication using good and correct language is very important in interacting together. The influence of social media is not spared from this language problem. The use of language in social media is very concerning, especially among teenagers. That's why it's necessary to use good and correct language so that it can be improved for teenagers in communicating on social media.

The Problem of Trilingualism Among Ukrainian People of Non-Polish Descent in Pavlo Levchuk’s Monograph “Trójjęzyczność ukraińsko-rosyjsko-polska Ukraińców niepolskiego pochodzenia” (Kraków: Księgarnia Akademicka, 2020, ss. 299)The reviewed monograph is the first significant work on the phenomenon of Ukrainian–Russian–Polish trilingualism of Ukrainian people of non-Polish descent. The monograph contains the results of research which was conducted between 2015 and 2017 among Ukrainian people of non-Polish descent, for whom Polish is a foreign language. Problem trójjęzyczności ukraińsko-rosyjsko-polskiej ludności niepolskiego pochodzenia w monografii Pavlo Levchuka "Trójjęzyczność ukraińsko-rosyjsko-polska Ukraińców niepolskiego pochodzenia" (Kraków: Księgarnia Akademicka, 2020, ss. 299)Recenzowana monografia jest pierwszą znaczącą pracą na temat zjawiska trójjęzyczności ukraińsko-rosyjsko-polskiej ludności ukraińskiej niepolskiego pochodzenia. Monografia zawiera wyniki badań, które zostały przeprowadzone w latach 2015-2017 wśród ukraińskich osób niepolskiego pochodzenia, dla których język polski był językiem obcym.

By applying Foucault’s genealogical approach, this article understands the ascension of the medical model of problem gambling as a happenstance and contingent effect of a new form of social control (biopower). The investigation reveals the cumulative effect of some of the heterogeneous components surrounding the medical model’s creation: discourses; institutions; laws; regulatory decisions; administrative measures; scientific proposition, and philanthropic, moral, and philosophical arguments. In the process, it becomes apparent that the medical model is an effect of a form of control that is embedded in the population itself as a norm and follows the schemata of confessional discourse. This power is disciplining individual bodies and regulating populations towards normality by making problem gamblers critically examine themselves and discursively reveal the results. However, the present subjectivity for problem gamblers (i.e., how they understand themselves and how they are understood by those who would improve them) is an effect of the type of power contained in the confession as well. A certain form of subjectivity is created by admitting ‘I am powerless over gambling.’ While the language problem gamblers use to describe themselves is a mere effect of power, it nevertheless determines how they think of themselves and their relationship with gambling.

Abstract Background Alcohol use disorders have become the second leading cause of death for mental and substance use disorders in China. However, with early diagnosis and timely treatment, the burden can be mitigated. Family and friends of a person with alcohol use problems are well placed to recognize the signs, encourage professional help-seeking and help the person until treatment is received. We aimed to use the Delphi consensus methodology to develop guidelines about how members of the public can provide this “mental health first aid” to someone with problem drinking in China. Methods A Chinese-language questionnaire was developed, comprising statements that were endorsed for inclusion in the English-language problem drinking first aid guidelines for high-income countries. Participants were also encouraged to suggest new statements. These statements were evaluated by two Chinese expert panels – a professional panel and a lived experience panel – on how important they believed each statement was for members of the public providing mental health first aid to a person with problem drinking in China. Three survey rounds were conducted. To be included in the final guidelines, statements had to receive a “very important” or “important” rating from at least 80% of participants from each of the panels. Results The majority of statements were rated in the first survey round by 30 mental health professionals and 25 lived experience panel members. One hundred and eighty-one statements met the inclusion criteria and were used to form the guidelines. Compared to the English-language guidelines, the importance of family involvement and mutual support were highlighted by both Chinese expert panels, while a number of statements relating to low-risk drinking were rejected by the lived experience panel. Conclusions The Chinese-language problem drinking first aid guidelines cover a variety of first aid strategies that members of the public can use when providing initial help to a person with problem drinking, such as how to communicate with the person and what to do if the person is intoxicated. These guidelines will be used as a stand-alone document will also inform the content of Mental Health First Aid training in China.

The aim of the paper is to indicate the status of the peripheral representation of verb-nominal collocations in Croatian monolingual dictionaries. After the analysis, it is evident that dictionaries and language portals do not record collocations as separate lexicographic units. Collocations appear only in the entries of individual lexemes that form a particular collocation, which is also not consistent, as there is no systematically implemented rule as to whether collocation should be listed next to the collocator or collocate. The absence of certain rules for recording collocations is a problem for people learning Croatian as a foreign language and for translators who need to quickly find the meaning of the required language problem. The problem of recording collocations can be solved by publishing a collocation dictionary of the Croatian language in digital or printed form.

Language has a vital role in this aspect of life. Language is a communication tool to convey ideas, ideas, and also one's desires to others. In its development, language has been influenced by several things, including the users of the language itself. At present, the Indonesian language has experienced various significant changes from year to year. Teenagers have a considerable influence on the development of language in a region because they are the main focus of the outside world in measuring the ability of a nation. Various problems began to emerge regarding the Indonesian language problem, which is currently starting to erode and replaced with slang. The purpose of this writing is none other than to know the extent of the development of the Indonesian language and to maintain the position of Indonesian, especially among teenagers today. An apparent influence on teenagers now is their obsession with the use of slang which they believe can make them look cooler and more contemporary. Some adolescents also claimed that they started to be ordinary with the current position of Indonesian. The pride that began to fade in the souls of adolescents must begin to be reinvested given how influential the role of adolescents in facing competition in the industry 4.0 today.

This study aimed to explore the need of a user generated 3D world (Roblox) online game module in English Language Problem-based Learning for Malaysian university students. The researchers used observations, interview, and questionnaire distribution that were implemented to 60 university students studying English Language at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Malaysia as well as 4 English Language teachers in the university. The results indicated that the students agreed that learning English language by using Roblox online games was interactive, challenging, exciting and fun. The students also recommended that the activities in the English Language Roblox Module should be easily done and accessed in all platforms including mobile phone, table and computer. Teachers also pointed out that the narrative elements that involve critical thinking skills were needed in the module to help them fostering the students to imply their problem-solving skills related to real-life issues in the learning process. The implications of this study will be significant for the English Language Roblox module developer as the technique for promoting problem solving skills in English Language Learning and to enhance students’ awareness on real-life issues.

AbstractThe paper deals with the question of levels of language problem management on the basis of the Language Management Theory as well as other approaches to language problem management. The aim is to contribute to bringing the theoretical basis of language problem management closer to the problem management theories in general. Within language problem management three levels of management are distinguished: 1. interactional level of small‐scale management of inadequacies; 2. supra‐interactional level of small‐scale management of metaproblems and 3. supra‐interactional level of large‐scale management of metaproblems. Inadequacies are individual instances of problems rising in concrete interactions and metaproblems are types of problems which can be identified suprainteractionally, by abstracting the idiosyncratic features of inadequacies. With the help of these concepts the difference between the Language Management Theory and other theories of problem management can be made more visible: Language Management Theory builds on the small‐scale management of inadequacies on interactional level, while other theories are based on the large‐scale management of metaproblems on suprainteractional level.
