The establishment of the K-12 curriculum has had a significant impact on subject requirements related to the outcome-based education plan and the requisite output for a given research report or requirement. Social networking platforms enable students to effortlessly complete a variety of tasks, such as learning and performance. By intervening in research, social networking sites break down the barriers that limit both students and teachers in the research process. Three methodologies or ideas have arisen, known as approaches, that could help you facilitate teaching research, even if you are not in the research discipline: the Facebook-Personality Network Approach, the Virtual Research Journal, and the Google Immersion Approach. It is considered favorably by some students and users, but there are those who take advantage of its negative aspects. Instead of focusing on the emerging ideas or topics created by coding, I used social networking sites to demonstrate that research can be done anytime, anyplace, for any purpose or cause. According to the outcome-based education paradigm, students found the three techniques highly engaging. In order to be a teacher-researcher, you must utilize your originality and resourcefulness when it comes to all of the resources, devices, and technology, as well as the available social networking sites.

Understanding sustainability requires a system-wide perspective to guide the interpretation of problems and conceptualization of solutions. A lake sustainability Trust provided an opportunity for students to gain this perspective by examining societal, commercial, and environmental policy perspectives associated with a local endangered lake and surrounding wetlands. This was an ideal project to bring sustainability issues to life for students but was too complex for a single class to attack. This article describes a multicourse initiative that sought to heighten students’ awareness of sustainability issues using a design thinking problem-solving approach. Interviews conducted revealed concerns that educators may have in considering similar projects. The authors respond to these perceived obstacles with recommendations and a discussion of mitigation strategies. In addition to the Trust gaining direction, the design and implementation of this cross-course experiential learning initiative allowed Marketing Research and Product Design students to develop an appreciation for macrolevel sustainability issues, and environmental policy students to appreciate the value of marketing research in the development of land use plans.

Aristotle once said, “The soul never thinks without a mental image.” From the author's experience as an ESL program director, ESL instructor, technology coach, and teacher educator, this saying is absolutely true. This chapter reviews an innovative web-based platform and a technology-based approach to teaching called Popplet that can be found at www.popplet.com. Popplet is a mind mapping application and a graphic organizer that allows teachers and students to create visually pleasing graphic organizers that integrate different features such as colors, texts, images, videos, and links to organize and present information. In addition to its use to enhance students' brainstorming, presentation, and discussion techniques, Popplet can also support the students' 21st century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. This chapter will highlight some of Popplet's important features for teachers who would consider implementing it in their teaching pedagogy in the future.

Culturally responsive pedagogy is an approach to teaching that attempts to address the learning needs of students from marginalized or non-majority populations. While the concept of culturally responsive pedagogy has been practiced in various forms in educational institutions around the world, there is still a gap in how the principles of cultural responsiveness are authentically embedded in assessment practices, particularly in a way that encourages all students to actively engage in the learning process. The purpose of this chapter is to argue the necessity for culturally responsive teaching and to articulate specific ways in which teachers can integrate practices that promote anti-racism, encourage student voice, facilitate community discourse, eliminate inherent bias in grading practices, and mitigate barriers to accessibility.

The flipped classroom model has been an appealing approach to teaching, primarily in math and science classes. However, several research studies have proven that the flipped classroom method can be successfully implemented in online language classes. This article presents a research study that aims to analyze the impact of the flipped learning approach on Czech university students in English classes. The first part of the study is dedicated to the goals and methodology of the research. The second section discusses the partial outcomes of the research.

Even though composing and musical form are one of the most controversial issues of the era, the composer or the instrumentalist has to grasp and examine the structural elements of the musical form correctly in order to grasp the spirit of the music to give what is desired during the performance. The stylistic parts of the music and their relations with each other have been researched on the basis of the motifs, which are the smallest building blocks of the musical form. When the musical form is expressed as "time made sound" (Langer, 1953: 135), it becomes necessary to write the formal unity in a way that appeals to the eye by taking the help of letters and numbers to explain the distribution of temporal elements in the form. Explaining the formal elements in the article with literary language and making them visible will help us to understand the perceptual form of music by helping to explain the temporal setup of Bartok's compositional logic with Gestalt theory. Thus, examining the structures that make up the whole with the principles of Gestalt theory, such as proximity and sameness, and making them visible with shapes will enable the music to be depicted and understood from a holistic perspective, regardless of the structure of the form. The act of schematizing what is heard, based on loudness and lengths, will enable us to see music as an element of perception, not theoretically. The aim of the study is to show the perceived time with the help of Gestalt theory, to make a holistic inference about how the individual perceives music, and to provide a perceptual analysis method to music independent of music theory. Keywords: Composer, Bartok, Music, Form, Form, violin, duet, string, Gestalt

The way the communicative method functions in a professionally oriented approach to teaching Ukrainian foreign students of medical specialties has been little studied, and that determines the relevance of this topic. It has been found that there is a controversy in scientific thought concerning the role of both communicative and grammar components of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language. Moreover, modern textbooks do not provide sufficient exercises to develop professional communication. The purpose of this study is to investigate the application of the communicative method in a professionally oriented approach to teaching Ukrainian (as a foreign language), and to develop appropriate exercises and tasks. The conclusion is that in the process of learning to communicate in a foreign language, it is important for students to present and master grammatical material. Samples of tasks and exercises aimed at developing the communicative and grammar competence of foreign medical students in professional communication are presented.

Prior political turmoil in the United States constituted a precarious foundation for living and teaching through a pandemic. In this essay, I contend that pandemic separation and ideological distortion have exacerbated polarization and distrust. I also consider the pedagogical implications of rising extremist discourses and conspiratorial thinking for both students and faculty. Educators must pay attention to the rising threat of extremism and consider that our students may be susceptible to radical antidemocratic ideologies as well. To conclude, I provide examples from some of my classes in the communication discipline to illustrate my approach to teaching the complicated intersections of rhetoric and reality in today’s polarized political climate.

This article is aimed at contributing to the ongoing debate on the purpose of law school and the work of law teachers, calling for a scholarship-based approach to teaching, centred on culture, research and method and advocating for seminars to replace lectures as the core method of teaching delivery in law schools. The article addresses, under this perspective, the salient elements of legal education: the philosophy of a teacher, the function of lectures and seminars, the problem of the time necessary to gain the required preparation, the importance of reading and the role played by assessment in the economy of a law degree. It is argued that teaching delivery methods should be the subject of constant reflection, and that the drafting of law school curricula should aim at cultivating the intellectual abilities and curiosity of law students, focussing on their education rather than their mere instruction.
