Abstract the phenomenon of the current disruptive era makes technology develop fast paced. The rapid progress must be matched with the ability of human resources as the executor of the organization. This study aimed to find out the management innovation in Islamic education institution that nowadays becomes a serious concern to face the global competition. The abilities of empathy and design thinking are the skills that need to be had by headmasters in facing the disruptive era. Innovation in Islamic education management is essential to do considering that the success of education goals is seen from how to manage an organization. This study is the result of literary research sourced from indexed scientific journals, books, and news on the internet. The procedures used included three phases, namely organize, synthesize, and identify.  The result of content analysis showed the concept of design thinking as the process to obtain problem solving which is relevant to the education field namely the formulation of new policy and analysis towards a problem by collecting analyses so that it is helpful to obtain right and effective decision making. Abstrak Fenomena era disruptif saat ini menjadikan teknologi berkembang serba cepat. pesatnya kemajuan harus diimbangi dengan kemampuan SDM sebagai pelaksana organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali inovasi manajemen di lembaga pendidikan Islam yang saat ini menjadi perhatian serius untuk menghadapi persaingan global. Kemampuan empati dan design thinking adalah skill yang harus miliki oleh kepala sekolah dalam menghadapi era disruptif. Inovasi dalam manajemen pendidikan Islam penting dilakukan mengingat keberhasilan tujuan pendidikan dilihat dari cara mengelola organisasi. Penelitian ini merupakan hasil riset kepustakaan dengan referensi jurnal ilmiah terindeks, buku dan berita di internet. Prosedur yang digunakan meliputi 3 tahap, yaitu organize, synthesize dan identify.  Hasil analisis isi menunjukkan konsep design thinking sebagai proses menghasilkan problem solving relevan dalam dunia pendidikan khususnya perumusan kebijakan baru dan analisis terhadap suatu permasalahan dengan mengumpulkan analisa-analisa sehingga membantu dalam upaya pengambilan keputusan yang tepat dan efektif.

<strong>Abstrak: </strong><strong>Penelitian</strong> ini bertujuan mengungkap pendidikan Islam pada masa Kesultanan Langkat 1912-1946, khususnya tentang Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah Tanjung Pura Langkat ditinjau dari aspek kelembagaan, isi pendidikan, tenaga pendidik dan siswa, serta manajemen<em>. </em>Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sejarah dengan pendekatan sejarah sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah menggambarkan lembaga pendidikan modern formal pertama di Sumatera Timur. Dari aspek kelembagaan, Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah memiliki visi misi, struktur organisasi, prasarana dan sarana yang modern, serta pendanaan yang jelas. Pada tahun 1912 Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah mengadakan pembaruan di lembaga tersebut yang dimulai dengan pemberlakuan ujian dan berhak mendapatkan ijazah. Pendidiknya terdiri dari ulama yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan dari Ummul Qurâ’ dan al-Azhar. Menurut penulis hal ini semakin kuat dengan kendali pengelolaan pendidikan yang langsung dikendalikan oleh organisasi yang dibawahi oleh Sultan Langkat.<br /> <br /> <strong>Abstract: </strong><strong>Islamic Education in Langkat Sultanate During 1912-1946: A Historical Study of Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah li Thalibil Khairiyah Langkat. </strong>This study aims to reveal the Islamic education during the Langkat Sultanate 1912-1946, especially about Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah Tanjung Pura Langkat in terms of institutional aspects and management. This research is a historical research with social history approach. The results show that Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah represents the systematic, planned, modern and first formal education institution in East Sumatra. As for the institutional aspect, the Jam'iyah has a vision of mission, organizational structure, infrastructure and modern facilities, as well as fixed budgeting. In 1912 the Jam'iyah reformed evaluation method, as well as standardized the qualification of the teachers of Umm al-Qurâ’ and Al-Azhar. According to the author, the system is getting stronger with the control of education management directly controlled by the organization that was under Sultan Langkat.<br /><strong> </strong><br /> <strong>Keywords</strong>: Indonesia, Malay, Langkat sultanate, Islamic education, Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah

The article presents the partial conclusions of the research Solving Unstructured Decision-Making Problems in the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. The research was conducted in the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic in the form of a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. The respondents were employees of the ministry working at all managerial levels. The subject of research was the issue of effective problem-solving in the Ministry of Defence. The aim of this article is to identify the key barriers to effective decision- making and to propose general principles to eliminate these barriers.

When I decided to be a neurosurgeon, I was told that my professional life is going to be very short. At the start you would begin late as it takes long to be a competent one and later due to stress of life and work, soon you would feel either exhausted or due to physical issues would soon stop operating. Well this doomsday prediction for a career neurosurgeon may discourage new enthusiasts, the seasoned practitioner however knows what it takes to continue your career graph go up for long. Neurosurgeons need a blend of skills and personal qualities like a high degree of manual dexterity, good hand-eye co-ordination, excellent vision and visuo-spatial awareness, good organisational ability and effective decision-making skills. To achieve this professional requirement and to keep going strong, we need a healthy body and a problem-solving mind.

The purpose of this research is to explain and analyze the foundation of Islamic Education Management. This research is important to do, because the development of Islamic Religious Education cannot be separated from the contribution of management in an organization of Islamic Education Institutions. Management in an Islamic Education Institution organization certainly has a foundation, so that the management of Islamic Education institutions will run well. The method used in this research is library research. Which means the researcher collected various literatures in the form of books, journals and research results that have been done before and are relevant to this research. The results of this study explain that there are four foundations in Islamic Education Management. These include theological foundation, rational foundation, empirical foundation and theoretical foundation.

Leadership is one of crucial things in an education management. It also happens in Islamic higher education institutions, especially in the case of its personnel management. This study aims to describe the leadership style in a personnel management of an Islamic higher education institution in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study belongs to qualitative research by using interview and observation in collecting the data. The obtained data then validated by triangulation and descriptively analyzed to produce relevant interpretation of the data. This research comes into a conclusion that the education success is not only measured from the class management, curriculum, students and so on, but also its personnel management. This study promotes that leadership in personnel management of Islamic higher Education needs good leadership style which based on the principle of siddiq, amanah, tabligh, and fathonah. It can be applied through recruitment, development, promotion and transfer, dismissal, compensation, as well as evaluation of employee performance.

The key element in this process is critical analysis of the situation, which can be executed by a taking a Socratic approach to the situation. Applying the Socratic Method to the problem-solving model ensures a well-rounded and versatile analysis.
