Fashion supply chain management is challenging due to demand uncertainty, short product life, fierce global competition, and increasing expectations such as product diversity and keeping pace with the current and emerging trends. In this paper, a brief review of the published works in the field of fashion and clothing supply chain is given and an integrated linear model is presented to minimize a fashion brand’s costs, including production and logistics costs, enabling the firm to make better decisions with regard to its production and replenishment policies and responding in a reasonable time to customers demands for various designed items. We show that our model can successfully account for complex structure of the supply chain consisting of designer, manufacturers, distributors, and stores. The model is validated using the General Algebraic Modelling System (GAMS) with the data collected from an Iranian fashion brand.

Marina and charter industry represent the two basic segments of nautical tourism sector, one of the key elements of tourism development in the countries of the Mediterranean circle. With the advent of ever more ambiguous business environment driven by global health hazards, the emergence of next technological revolution and global competition, insight into the antecedents of competitiveness of companies in the nautical tourism sector in an important topic for organizations who want to survive and grow. The goal of this paper is comparison of the fundamental features of these two interconnected industries. The marina industry, observed through the financial indicators, shows attractiveness and stability. Regardless of the marina category, the success of its operations proved to be stable even in crisis market conditions. On the other hand, the charter industry, that complements the value proposition of the marina industry, shows lower level of robustness in times of crisis. The contribution of the paper is twofold. Firstly, for the purpose of the comparison of these two industries we present their basic indicators, and argue that the dynamic connection of the charter and marina industries opens possibilities to achieve higher level of competitiveness in both businesses. Also, since the available data on both industries is scarce, the paper introduces a system of data estimates, as well as system of experiential forecasting which can be used in different markets where similar limitations can be observed.

Significance President Joe Biden’s core Africa team has been in place for several months now but the development of Washington’s Africa policy appears awkwardly caught between the president’s democracy promotion agenda, his broad concern about global competition from China and lingering assumptions from the war on terror. Impacts Chinese and Russian activity in countries usually seen as peripheral is becoming more significant for Washington. As more crises affect the Horn and the Sahel, Washington will pay greater attention to anchor countries such as Kenya and Senegal. In keeping with long-term trends, Africa does not appear likely to become a high priority for the Biden administration.

Today two main innovative determinants influence Chinas position in the race to global leadership in artificial intelligence. The aim of the research was to assess Chinese innovative potential according to two criteria: artificial intelligence talents and hardware base. The analysis has provided a conclusive answer to the question about the prospects of China to achieve the position of a scientific and technological superpower. The presented data shows that global competition in artificial intelligence has toughened and there is a certain lag in the competence of Chinese talents and in the development of breakthrough microelectronic technologies. However, the dynamics of the Chinese artificial intelligence sector growth and the Big Government legal actions indicate that the changes may come very soon. Due to the growing uncertainty and technological confrontation between main innovative and technology competitors, the victory in the global race for China's artificial intelligence sector may not take place.

Awareness of Indonesian nationalism reached its peak after independence. The heroic values inherited by historical actors must be imitated by the next generation of this nation. This paper explored the national heroes in the Indonesian revolution and their meaning for the younger generation. The method used in reviewing the problem is a literature study by studying various sources such as books, published scientific articles that are relevant to the research study. The results of the study showed that in the context of inheritance, a comprehensive understanding of the values of heroism is needed so that the meaning and spirit of Indonesian nationalism continued to prioritize the ideals of the nation so that it could exist more in the midst of a highly competitive global era. Today's life is coloured by various competitions in line with the universal process marked by the loosening of national boundaries so that the challenges faced by a nation are increasingly complex. The younger generation of the nation's successors is required to appear in front of taking a role in global competition. However, in order not to lose direction and even identity, the figure of a hero in wartime who was so instrumental in politics and diplomacy, and in the post-independence period needs to be followed by the younger generation in fulfilling independence and continuing their ideals of struggle

This chapter starts by critically analysing the most significant literature on the religiosity of Muslims in Europe. It then discusses two overlapping contexts which are key to explaining these forms of religiosity. On one hand, the global competition for Islamic orthodoxy, and on the other, the transformation of Islamic repertoires and institutions by European governments through the cumulative influence of securitization and secularism. The chapter argues that Islam is a topos activated at different moments in European history, from colonization to post-Second World War immigration. Post-9/11, growing pluralization and an emphasis on security have exacerbated an ‘us versus them’ mentality in which Muslims are definitely ‘them’.

Abstract - The development of information technology and significant progress is happening today, where changes need to face increasingly high global competition. Islamic boarding schools are the centre of change, where boarding schools must develop four important factors: human resource development, information technology, culture and e-spirituality. This article is about developing smart city 3.0 and 5.0, where the resulting framework and methods can apply to Islamic boarding schools. Our research object is Islamic boarding schools, and in this place, we do community service. This article's results are the framework and the maturity level of smart Islamic boarding schools, where there are three indicators (people-culture, technology-business, implementation-global goals)  and three important levels (stage 1-the foundation, stage 2-good foundation, stage 3- great foundation), which are the basis for developing a smart islamic boarding school. Moreover, this article is version 1.0, which in its development will extend to the application. An application Si-PenO (Online registration information system) completed at the Askhabul Kahfi Islamic boarding school as proof of applying the concept we created in this article. This change is needed to face globalization, and change is a good thing if it does systematically. Furthermore, this article will continue to develop in versions 2.0 and 3.0 and applications that we will implement in Islamic boarding schools.
