Tattooing has become more acceptable in the mainstream American culture in recent years. Based on a survey with face-to-face interviews of 335 nontattooed adults randomly selected from a city with a population of 444,000, this study explored the relationship of individuals' demographic variables, attitudes toward religion, and their perceptions of tattoos. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that age and attitude toward religion were associated with individuals' perception of tattoos.

This study examined the relationship between hand length and catching performance by 257 children (142 boys, 115 girls) in Grades K–2. Children's catching performance was determined by the number of successful catches (0–5) when a small ball was tossed underhand from 10 ft. Specifically, the children were tested on the qualitative aspects of catching, i.e., form, and catching accuracy, i.e., successful catching. Hand length was measured by standard anthropometric technique. A multiple regression analysis showed age, sex, and hand length contributed significantly ( p = .001) to catching accuracy and catching form. Implications for instruction and further research are offered.

The purpose of this study was to examine the assumption in the Developmental Therapy model that there is a close relationship between presenting behavior problems and developmental deficits. The assumption was tested by running a stepwise, backward multiple regression analysis on scores obtained for 33 subjects on two instruments used in the Developmental Therapy model to assess presenting behavior problems and developmental deficits. The analysis failed to support the assumption that the two classes of variables are related.

Generally, manufacturing capability is the important factor in running and developing business. Hence, this research is aimed to identifying the relationships of critical factors and make sure the companies can survive in the northern region of Malaysia. Those identified factors are training and manufacturing capabilities. Through the email survey, a total of 89 companies representing electrical and electronic industries had responded. The hypotheses involved were tested using correlation and regression techniques. The results of the study support all the hypotheses. The multiple regression analysis indicates that there are significant relationships among the factors on each criterion to manufacturing capabilities. While hierarchical multiple regression analysis was carried out to test the role of moderating in the relationship between independent variables with dependent variables. It is believed that results of this study will be beneficial for shareholders and directors of companies to apply these manufacturing capabilities.

The present study was conducted to assess the relationship between hostility and white space responses on the Rorschach. The Rorschach was administered individually to 80 volunteer students on the university campus. 71 subjects were undergraduates and 9 were graduates. The mean age for the group was 24 yr. Among the males, 19 were white and 4 were non-white; among the females, 49 were white and 8 were non-white. Level of hostility was determined by Elizur's scoring of content and by adding all the weights for each subject's protocol. Percent was obtained for each subject by dividing the total of such responses by R or total number of responses. A significant correlation of .20 was obtained between level of hostility and white space responses. A correlation of .46 between total responses and white space responses was also significant. Gender and level of hostility correlated —.33. A multiple regression analysis gave an r of .51 for the combination of gender and total responses and level of hostility.

This study examined the relationship of family and friends to the resiliency of older widows. Data from the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP) survey (Waite et al., 2007), which sampled persons 57-85 years of age (n = 3005), was used. It was hypothesized that older widows have greater breadth and depth of family and friend relationships than older married adults. Multiple regression analysis results revealed that older widows engaged more frequently in family and friend relations compared to older married adults, possibly enabling greater resilience to widowhood.

This study aimed to identify the effect of feedback on the credibility of the source towards constructive feedback and self-efficacy of teaching. Specifically, the objective of this study was to determine whether the credibility of the source of feedback be the moderator of the relationship between the constructive feedback and self-efficacy of teaching. In this study, a total of 411 lecturers from three premier polytechnics and two polytechnics which achieved excellent recognition through polyrate took part. Data for this study were collected through a questionnaire which was adapted from previous researchers’ questionnaire. Finding shows that higher academic qualification does have an effect on feedback credibility. Hypothesis testing is done by using multiple regression analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Findings have shown the constructive feedback and credibility of feedback have an influence on self-efficacy of teaching. In addition, the findings also indicate the credibility of the feedback was moderator of the relationship between the constructive feedback and self-efficacy of teaching. In terms of implications, middle leaders in educational organizations should enhance the skills, knowledge, and credibility in giving constructive feedback to shape and improve self-efficacy among his followers.

This study examined the relationship of 125 college women's mathematical self-efficacy and interest in mathematics/science-based careers to the consideration of pursuing such careers. A stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that interest alone was a significant predictor of career choice.

The study was designed to determine the relationship between different perceptual abilities and performance in volleyball, badminton, and tennis. 41 boys and 37 girls enrolled in a Grade 10 physical education program served as subjects. Performance in the three sports and four perceptual ability measures were determined. A multiple regression analysis indicated that the Group Embedded Figures Test was the most consistent perceptual measure for predicting significant motor performance but accounted for only 8 to 20% of the actual variance. Further, multiple regression analysis confirmed the importance of previous experience in a specific sport which accounted for 24 to 50% of the variance.

This study is aimed to investigate the relationship of tourism budget, inflation, interest rate on economic growth in Indonesia in 2011 – 2020. Data was gathered from Central Bureau of Statistics (Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS) and Ministry of Finance (Kementerian Keuangan/Kemenkeu). The data were analyzed using the multiple regression analysis after fulfilling all of the classical assumption tests. It showed that the inflation and interest rate have significant positive impact while tourism budget has insignificant negative impact on economic growth. In this case, monetary policy tends to be efficiently implemented at the level of promoting growth. However, Indonesia is still early on hoping significant contribution of tourism sector. Keywords: Tourism Budget, Inflation, Interest Rate, Economic Growth, GDP, Multiple Regression Analysis.
