This study aims at identifying the level of psychological and professional stress in light of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. It adopted descriptive and analytical methodologies. Two scales were prepared: one scale for psychological and professional stress and the other for coping with psychological and professional pressures. The study sample consisted of 608 female teachers at public schools in Al-Kharj province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The results show a moderate level of psychological and professional stresses. The findings show statistically significant differences in teaching experience variable. The differences were in favour of female teachers with experience of less than 5 years. However, no statistically significant differences were found on the variable of academic qualification. It was found that female teachers had followed strategies to cope with psychological and professional stresses including resorting to faith, connecting with other teachers and students, planning different strategies, seeking help from others and managing time. The study recommends arranging training courses for female teachers to develop remote teaching skills and using various technologies and applications in this field particularly during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Teacher competency standards are the main guidelines for assessing the initial academic qualification of teachers. The basis for the assessment of teacher performance is the sustainable development of their professional career. This research reassesses teachers' competency standards in vocational high schools (VHSs) to sufficiently explain the competence in teaching tailored to the needs of the industrial world. This research aims at an assessment structure established on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to assess such competency standards for VHS teachers steadily to assess such competency standards for VHS teachers. The assessment model is classified into four critical criteria, namely: 1) pedagogical competency, 2) professional competency, 3) vocational competency, and 4) technological competency. These criteria are further accumulated into 21 sub-criteria to gauge the efficacy of teacher competency standards. This finding shows that the pedagogical competencies are the most important in this research. Thus, this study's novelty is seen in developing two key aspects: a more detailed explanation of sub-competencies and competencies to enhance Indonesia's skilled teachers' competency levels.

Small and marginal farming communities of Indian agriculture account for more than 85%of the total farming households. They face the challenges of land fragmentation, high costof inputs and inability to market their produce efficiently. To tackle these challenges, policymakers came up with the model of farmers’ mutual cooperation through Farmer ProducerOrganisations (FPOs). This study conducted in Punjab analyses the behavioural factorsresponsible for functionality of FPOs. A random selection of 150 members from 5 functionaland 5 non-functional FPOs (i.e., 15 respondents from each selected FPO) was made andthe respondents were interviewed personally. The findings revealed that the members(including management) of the functional FPOs had higher risk bearing capacity, greatereconomic motivation and more innovativeness as compared to the respondents from non-functional FPOs. Similarly, respondents from functional FPOs were socially, economicallyand managerially more empowered than the non-functional FPOs. Business skills of themembers, including the managerial members, of functional FPOs were also better ascompared to those from the non-functional FPOs. Regression estimates revealed that thefunctionality, better academic qualification, bigger land holding and joint family systemwere responsible for the higher net annual income of the respondents.
