Dropout number is one of the important indicators to measure the human progress resources in education sector. This research uses the approaches of Semi-parametric Geographically Weighted Poisson Regression to get the best model and to determine the influencing factors of dropout number for primary education in Bali. The analysis results show that there are no significant differences between the Poisson regression model with GWPR and Semi-parametric GWPR. Factors which significantly influence the dropout number for primary education in Bali are the ratio of students to school, ratio of students to teachers, the number of families with the latest educational fathers is elementary or junior high school, illiteracy rates, and the average number of family members.

Smoking habit in adolescents has been increasing recently. Some factors are associated with the smoking habit. However, there are lacks of information regarding influencing factors to smoking habit in the adolescent. The study aimed to examine how knowledge, attitudes, practice, and other factors play a role in adolescents' smoking. There were 381 female and male students of a junior high school in Jakarta who participated. Influencing factors were knowledge, attitudes, practice, social influence, anti-smoking campaigns. The association between factors was analyzed using appropriate statistical tests. Most students had better knowledge, attitude, and practice. Only two students smoked cigarettes (0.5%). Gender was significantly associated with knowledge (p=0.048), social influence (p=0.000), an anti-smoking campaign (p=0.024). Knowledge had an association with social influence (p=0.002) and anti-smoking campaign (p=0.000), whereas attitudes with practice smoking (p=0.005) and anti-smoking campaign (p=0.000). Social influence was also associated with the anti-smoking campaign (p=0.000). In conclusion, students of Permai junior high school had good knowledge, attitudes, and practice of smoking. There are associations between factors that contribute to smoking habit in adolescents.

Background : Nutritional status problems have many causes, including genetic, body metabolic conditions, behavior, environment, culture, and socioeconomic factors. One environmental factor that receives relatively limited attention is that children are exposed to undue stress, especially family stress. One of the factors influencing a child's nutritional status is his family. Family functions that run well can optimize the process of growth and development of children which can be described by the nutritional status. Optimization of nutritional status in children can not only be done from a clinical approach alone but needs holistic comprehensive management. Objective : The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of a holistic comprehensive health service approach through family functions on optimizing the nutritional status of junior high school students.Method : This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach with the subjects of Malang City's "Z" Junior High School  students. Implementation in May- August 2019. The research subjects were 265 people with multistage random sampling. Data collection by interview. The analysis is displayed in the form of frequency distribution and correlation using the Spearman test and logistic regressionResults and Discussion : Family function is quite influential on nutritional status (r = 0.445). In logistic regression, the equation Y = 8.563-0.582X1 - 0.992X2-0.606X3 is obtained. The most  influential family function is partnership of 99.2%. Partnership describes communication,  mutual sharing, mutual complementarity between  family members in  all problems faced by family members, as well as the level of deliberation in making decisions and or resolving a problem that is being faced with other family members. Comprehensive holistic health service approach is sufficient effect on nutritional status (r = 0.463).Conclusion : The holistic comprehensive health service approach gives sufficient influence on the nutritional status of students in Malang City's "Z" Junior High School.

Abstract Background The incidence and risk of tuberculosis (TB) among the elderly population have increased with the ageing population in China. This study aimed to assess the current status and associated factors of TB knowledge, attitudes, and practices among elderly people in Shenzhen City, China, which may provide references for the development of TB prevention and treatment policies targeting elderly people. Methods A multistage random sampling method was used to collect data with a self-designed questionnaire from 1078 elderly people (response rate, 90.66%) living in Bao’an District of Shenzhen between September and October 2019. Univariate and multiple linear regression analyses were used to analyse factors associated with TB knowledge, attitudes, and practices among elderly people. Results Among the respondents, 3.13% had previously been treated for TB, and 3.09% of respondents had family members or friends with a previous TB history. The percentages of elderly people who were aware of TB and had positive attitudes and practices regarding TB were 69.23%, 48.87%, and 42.62%, respectively. Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that elderly people with a junior high school education or higher, a family annual income per capita of less than 100,000 RMB, a better self-perceived health status, and family members or friends with a previous TB history had higher TB knowledge scores (P < 0.05). Elderly people with medical insurance, a junior high school or higher education, a family annual income per capita of less than 100,000 RMB, and family members and friends with a previous TB history had higher TB attitude scores (P < 0.05). In addition, elderly people who were older, had medical insurance, had a junior high school education or higher, and had a family annual income per capita less than 100,000 RMB had higher TB practice scores (P < 0.05). Conclusions Elderly people were aware of TB, but their positive attitudes and practices were at a low level. Corresponding prevention and treatment policies should be developed according to these influencing factors to reduce the incidence of TB among elderly people and improve their quality of life.

This research extends design optimization to model involving count data. A two-variable Poisson regression model was investigated for A-optimality on a constrained design space and the weights of the optimal design points were obtained. The constructed designs were verified to be A-optimal at 4-point design through the general equivalence theorem. The efficiency of the constructed optimal design was found to be 100% A-efficient. The concept of weighted optimal designs for Poisson regression model was applied to fertility studies. Approximate A-optimal design weights of educational level of women were obtained for each marriage duration period with respect to their places of residence. The study revealed that the numbers of women with secondary education and above were found to be consistently more than that of women with no education, lower primary education and upper primary education, respectively for all the marriage duration periods considered and at each place of residence. The only exclusion is the marriage duration of 0–4 years at Suva where the proportion of women with no education was more than other educational levels. By using both parametric and non-parametric tests, noticed that both EI Nino and West African Wetness have significant impact on the number of storms. A Poisson Regression Model is then be used to further explores the impact of different variables to the number of storms. In particular, warm phase of EI Nino and dry weather has suppress impact on the number of storms while cold phase of Nino and wet weather encourage storms. Under the combination impact of both EI Nino and West African Wetness, the probability of occurrence of extreme storms is higher than under the other conditions.
