The article presents the results of geological exploration carried out in 2016–2018 in the Sinskaya area, located on the adjacent territory of the Vilyui syneclise and Aldan anteclise. Based on the complex of geochemical and seismic surveys in the northern part of the area, the identification of predicted oil and gas accumulation zones is substantiated. Predicted zones are distinguished at the site of reduced thicknesses and pinch-out of Permian and Triassic deposits. Taking into account the nature of concentration variations of HC components sorbed by subsoil sediments, it is assumed that hydrocarbon fluids have predominantly gas-condensate state. The appearance of the oil phase is predicted for the southern perspective zone. On the ground of predictive definitions and the results of performed operations, recommendations were given on the placement of parametric drilling and allocation of licensed blocks for subsequent exploration. Prognosis evaluations of HC resources are done.

According to assured resources of hydrocarbons the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK) is among ten largest oil countries in the world, trailing only some states of the Middle East, Latin America, as well Russia and the USA. Public health state is the one of most important indices of social development, the manifestation of the economic and sanitaryhygienic welfare, as well as national defense capability and cultural potential of the state. In relation with the intensive development of oil and gas fields the problems of environmental protection and healthcare of the population in these regions occur critically. Therefore, it causes keen interest both from the side of researches and practical health care workers. Rapid development of the oil and gas industry leads to changes in a medical and demographic situation of given regions that is related both with the natural migration of the population and other migratory processes. According to data of the Ministry of Energetics and natural resources of RK, the Karachaganak oil-gas condensate deposit is considered to be the one of the largest in the world. For the next 40 years, the field is becoming the stable financial donor of the country. Currently Karachaganak field is considered to be the one of the largest investment projects in Kazakhstan. The studied oil and gas condensate field is located in the Burlin district of West Kazakhstan region, which is 140 km far from the city of Uralsk and 160 km far from the city of Orenburg. The field was discovered in 1984.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the role of the Northern Sea Route (NSR) in the socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of Russia. The authors believe that climate change, gradually leading to the melting of polar ice, opens up new opportunities for the development of Arctic resources and navigation in the seas of the Arctic Ocean. Of particular interest to the NSR are non-Arctic countries, critically dependent on the supply of foreign mineral and carbon resources, as well as on the export of their goods to Europe. Among them, China stands out, considering the NSR as the Arctic Blue Economic Corridor as part of the global Silk Road system. The NSR is intended to become an essential tool for further development of the Arctic zone of Russia. Development of port infrastructure and creation of a modern ocean and maritime fleet will accelerate the pace of socio-economic development of this strategically important region. To do this, it is necessary to adopt a federal law on special system of preferences for investors, including foreign ones, implementing their projects in the Arctic. Among such preferences there are preferential profit tax rates, reduction in Mineral Extraction Tax (MET) rates, a declarative procedure for VAT refunds, a simplified procedure for granting land plots and unchanged conditions for the implementation of investment projects. In addition, it is important to make the NSR safe and profitable both in terms of quality of service and of price for the shippers. In particular, the payment for icebreakers’ escort of vessels should be competitive and reasonable. The largest Russian private and state-owned companies should be involved into Arctic projects. It is important to synchronize the Arctic oil and gas projects with nuclear and LNG icebreakers’ construction, as well as with the launch of two logistics hubs in Murmansk and Kamchatka. In this case, year-round NSR navigation will be organized, which will ensure the high competitiveness of Russian products supplied to the Asian Pacific markets.

Abstract Bubble-point and dew-point pressures of oil and gas condensate reservoir fluids are used for planning the production profile of these reservoirs. Usually the best method for determination of these saturation pressures is by visual observation when a Constant Mass Expansion (CME) test is performed on a sample in a high pressure cell fitted with a glass window. In this test the cell pressure is reduced in steps and the pressure at which the first sign of gas bubbles is observed is recorded as bubble-point pressure for the oil samples and the first sign of liquid droplets is recorded as the dew-point pressure for the gas condensate samples. The experimental determination of saturation pressure especially for volatile oil and gas condensate require many small pressure reduction steps which make the observation method tedious, time consuming and expensive. In this study we have extended the Y-function which is often used to smooth out CME data for black oils below the bubble-point to determine saturation pressure of reservoir fluids. We started from the initial measured pressure and volume and by plotting log of the extended Y function which we call the YEXT function, with the corresponding pressure, two straight lines were obtained; one in the single phase region and the other in the two phase region. The point at which these two lines intersect is the saturation pressure. The differences between the saturation pressures determined by our proposed YEXT function method and the observation method was less than ± 4.0 % for the gas condensate, black oil and volatile oil samples studied. This extension of the Y function to determine dew-point and bubble-point pressures was not found elsewhere in the open literature. With this graphical method the determination of saturation pressures is less tedious and time consuming and expensive windowed cells are not required.
