The purpose of this research was to determine whether there is an influence of attitudes on entrepreneurial intentions, subjective norms on entrepreneurial intentions and perceived behavioral control on entrepreneurial intentions for Bachelor of Economics and Business Faculty of Tarumanagara University. The design used in this study is a casual type quantitative method, which is a simple research design that uses purposive sampling as the method and the researcher took a total sample of 150 respondents and this researcher used SmartPLS. The results of this study indicate that the attitudes and behavioral control perceived positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial intentions, but subjective norms do not affect entrepreneurial intentions for Bachelor of Economics and Business Faculty of Tarumanagara University. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh sikap terhadap intensi berwirausaha, norma subyektif terhadap intensi berwirausaha dan kontrol perilaku yang dirasakan terhadap intensi berwirausaha bagi Sarjana Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Tarumanagara. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif berjenis kasual, yang merupakan desain penelitian yang sederhana yang menggunakan purposive sampling sebagai metodenya dan peneliti mengambil jumlah sampel sebanyak 150 responden dan peneliti ini menggunakan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sikap dan kontrol perilaku yang dirasakan berpengaruh postif dan signifikan terhadap intensi berwirausaha, akan tetapi norma subyektif tidak berpengaruh terhadap intensi berwirausaha bagi Sarjana Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Tarumanagara.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the entrepreneurial intention of university students using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and parents' occupation. A questionnaire based survey was employed for the data collection. A total of 1244 students participated in the survey. The sample was a convenience one given that the resources available were limited. The size of the sample allows us to proceed with reliable statistical analyses and produce valid conclusions. The findings of our research showed that perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, attitude and parents' occupation are important variables influencing entrepreneurial intention. The variable that affects entrepreneurial intention the most is attitude. The findings led support to the theory and the hypotheses proposed. These findings indicate that the recommended model can be used to explain a large part of variation in entrepreneurial intention. This study, contributes to the entrepreneurial intention literature providing empirical evidence to help formulate policies encouraging university students' entrepreneurship practices, attracting the interest of both educators and policy makers. This evidence will become increasingly important, as research in the field of entrepreneurship continues to place models of entrepreneurial intentions at the center of our understanding of the entrepreneurial process. Future studies could investigate the validity of the findings reported here, in different contexts using more variables, not included in this study and inquire the potential existence of latent variables which may be confounding the relationships discussed in this paper.

Purpose This paper, in light of the theory of planned behavior, aims to analyze the factors that have an impact on entrepreneurial intentions among students in Kosovo. Design/methodology/approach A structured questionnaire is administered online for data collection, and the analysis is conducted using structural equation modeling. Findings The authors find that in the context of Kosovo, personal attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control significantly impact entrepreneurial intention among students. However, the entrepreneurial education survey respondents received was unrelated to entrepreneurial intention of students in Kosovo. Originality/value The authors contribute to the literature regarding the role of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intention among students and graduates. In addition, the authors provide new evidence regarding the impact of personal attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control on entrepreneurial intention in the context of a transition economy. Finally, the authors offer recommendations to educational institutions and policymakers concerning the appropriate design of entrepreneurial education.

PurposeThe purpose of this research is to integrate the prediction from entrepreneurship education with the theory of planned behaviors (TPB) to build a conceptual framework and estimate the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention over and above key predictors from an extended TPB model. Also, the moderating impacts of educational fields in the paths from entrepreneurial education, attitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control to entrepreneurial intention are tested in this study.Design/methodology/approachThe study used a sample of 559 university students who received entrepreneurship education at 12 universities from Vietnam. Confirmatory factor analysis was utilized to test the validity and reliability of all variables and regression analyses were used to estimate coefficient paths. Then, bootstrapping method with the PROCESS approach was utilized to test the indirect correlations.FindingsThe study reveals that attitude toward entrepreneurship and perceived behavioral control were positively and strongly associated with entrepreneurial intention, while the linkage between subjective norms and entrepreneurial intention was not significant. Also, the findings show that even though entrepreneurship education did not have a direct effect on entrepreneurial intention, it increased entrepreneurial intention via attitude toward entrepreneurship and perceived behavioral control. In addition, this study finds that educational fields moderate the associations between predictors and entrepreneurial intention.Practical implicationsThis study offers both universities and policymakers options to foster youths' entrepreneurial activities.Originality/valueThis study is expected to significantly contribute to entrepreneurship literature by enriching our understanding of the interesting and crucial linkages between entrepreneurship education, attitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and entrepreneurial intention. Additionally, the current research reveals that for economic and business management students, the paths are driven from entrepreneurial education, attitude toward entrepreneurship, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control to intention to engage in entrepreneurial activities has become stronger when compared to students of majors in engineering and others.

Dalam mempromosikan destinasi, peran atau menarik dari wirausaha meningkat dari hari ke hari. Program pendidikan kewirausahaan ini terkait dan terintegrasi dengan program lain, seperti pendidikan karakter, pendidikan ekonomi kreatif, dan pendidikan kewirausahaan ke dalam kurikulum sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh sikap wirausaha, norma subyektif, dan kontrol perilaku yang dirasakan dalam perilaku terencana dan pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat menjadi wirausaha. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa semester lima dan tujuh, jurusan Perhotelan dan Pariwisata Universitas Bunda Mulia. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 100 siswa dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dan teknik analisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. The global increase of urban solid waste in developing countries is creating highly significant challenges. There is a lack of research on sustainable waste management behavior (SWMB) among university academic staff. Hence, this study aims to examine the effect of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control on SWMB. This study employed the theory of planned behavior (TPB) as the underlying theory. This study’s sample consisted of 252 academic staff from the top three sustainable universities in Malaysia listed by the UiGreenMetric in 2018. The academic staff were surveyed by using an online and self-administered survey and analyzed by using PLS-SEMThe results showed that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively affect SWMB. This study makes significant contributions to both theory and practice. The study fills in the literature gap and supports the TPB theory. This study provides empirical evidence on the effect of main TPB variables, such as attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control on SWMB through a quantitative research approach, exploring all three of the 3Rs to study academic staff’s waste management behavior on campus. From the managerial perspective, this study’s results provide empirical evidence on factors that affect SWMB among academic staff. This information is crucial to managers and policymakers to plan strategies to engage academic staff with SWMB. Managers and policymakers should focus on conducting more campaigns on sustainable waste management for academic staff. The campaigns would enhance academic staff’s attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control towards practicing SWMB for a more sustainable campus in the future.

Background: Although the nursing staff is fundamental in assisting individuals with mental illnesses (MI) to stop tobacco use, they often have mixed feelings about providing tobacco treatment (TT) services to people with MI in inpatient psychiatric settings. Objective: Therefore, this study aimed to understand factors associated with nursing staff’s intentions to provide TT interventions for individuals diagnosed with MI in a psychiatric facility using the constructs of the theory of planned behavior (TPB). Method: Secondary data analysis was performed using cross-sectional data collected from 98 nursing staff who worked in a state inpatient psychiatric facility. A 15-item questionnaire was used to assess nursing staff intentions to provide TT services based on TPB constructs, including attitudes (four items), subjective norms (four items), perceived behavioral controls (four items), and intentions (three items) toward providing TT. The mean scores of each subscale ranged from 1 to 7. A logistic regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between TBP constructs and nursing staff intentions to provide TT for people with MI. Results: Nursing staff had an acceptable mean score in the intentions subscale (4.34 ± 2.01). Only two constructs of TPB explained nursing staff intentions to provide TT: subjective norms (OR = 2.14, 95% CI [1.46, 3.13]) and perceived behavioral control (OR = 2.33, 95% CI [1.32, 4.12]). Conclusions: The constructs of the TPB, the subjective norms, and the perceived behavior control were able to predict nurses’ intentions to provide TT for inpatients in a psychiatric setting. Accordingly, we suggest implementing policies that make TT a normative practice while supporting the confidence and competence of nurses to deliver TT in psychiatric facilities.

Purpose This study aims to explore the level of entrepreneurial intentions (EIs) among students in three private universities in Bahrain. The examined factors that are expected to shape EI are personal attraction toward becoming an entrepreneur, perceived behavioral control and subjective norms and social valuation of entrepreneurship. Design/methodology/approach A close-ended questionnaire was used to collect data of the study. The total number of questionnaires distributed was 1,530 questionnaires, while the total number of the valid questionnaires retrieved was 550, which makes the total response rate to be 36 per cent. Findings Regression analysis results indicated that students’ personal attraction toward entrepreneurship and perceived behavioral control had a significant strong positive relationship with their EI. In addition, there was a significant moderate positive relationship between students’ perceived subjective norms and social valuation of entrepreneurship with their EI. Originality/value The findings showed that entrepreneurial education is needed to improve students’ skills and knowledge and enhance their EI and perceived behavioral control. In addition, it is important to expose students to entrepreneurial role models and their businesses and to promote entrepreneurial careers as desirable and feasible options that may bring more advantages than working in the government or private sector.

The trend of young entrepreneurs coming from students is growing and this is in line with government programs that want to introduce and create resilient young entrepreneurs from an early age. When on campus, the desire of students to build a business is huge. But when they return to the community, the number of students who want to build a business is not as big as when they were in college. This study wants to look at the impact of the presence of entrepreneurship programs at the college level on entrepreneurial intentions on students. Can the program increase the desire of students to become entrepreneurs? This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to as many as 200 students at three private universities in Tangerang who have an entrepreneurship program and the data collected were processed using SEM PLS 3. The results of this study indicate that the variables of personal attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norm, affect entrepreneurial Student intentions at the three universities studied. This can be the basis for universities to develop existing entrepreneurship programs to enhance student creativity. Not only facilitating students with exhibition programs, but also providing students with the tools to be more creative and innovative, not only in product development but also in the process of experiencing consumers.   Key Words: Theory of Planned Behaviour, Entrepreneurial Iintention, Students.

Purpose This study aims to explore the association between the tricycle drivers’ personal attitude and perceived behavioral control and their entrepreneurial intention. Moreover, the study was conducted to determine whether such a relationship is moderated by structural support. Design/methodology/approach A total of 349 tricycle drivers in the Philippines were randomly selected and served as the respondents of this study. To determine if there is a significant relationship between the variables, structural equation modeling was used. Findings Tricycle drivers denoted that the more positive their perceived behavior control and personal attitude is, the greater their entrepreneurial intention is likely to be. Hence, the relationship of perceived behavioral control and personal attitude on entrepreneurial intention is moderated by perceived structural support. Originality/value By learning individuals’ perceived behavioral control, personal attitude and their entrepreneurial intention of specific classes of people, specifically tricycle drivers, it is possible to assess the feasibility of entrepreneurial efforts initiated by the government even before it is implemented, avoiding wastage of both times, resources and effort.

Purpose – One purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of young Muslim tourist generation's interest to recommend and visit halal tourist attraction. Design – The interest of young Muslim tourist generation to recommend and visit Halal attractions is influenced by knowledge (KNO), religiosity (REG), perceived behavioral control (PBC), subjective norms (SN) and attitudes (ATT). Methodology – The respondents are the young Muslim generation living in 27 provinces in Indonesia and were selected using the purposive sampling method. The use of purposive sampling method is to support this research where information is obtained from specific target groups. Approach – It was found that in the intention of local Muslim tourists to select and recommend halal tourist destinations, several factors influence their intention such as knowledge, religiosity, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms and attitudes. Moreover, knowledge and religiosity influence tourists' attitude to visit halal tourist destinations. Originality of the research – This study contributes to behavioral theory and extends the application of the theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in the context of halal tourist studies.
