The object of this research is the finds of porcelain dolls discovered by L. N. Sladkova in 1998 during the excavations of Neudachiny estate in Tobolsk. The goal lies in studying two pieces of porcelain dolls, which most likely were imported and symbolize material wealth for the majority of Tobolsk resident in the late XIX – early XX centuries. Having explored the items from other collections of the Tobolsk Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, the author attempts to determine the prevalence of such porcelain dolls in Tobolsk in the late XIX – XX centuries, and which social classes could afford them. The relevance of this work is substantiated by the absence of publications dedicated to archaeological finds of the imported porcelain dolls in the territory of Western Siberia, as well as Russian-language literature on attribution and study of this category of toys of the XI – early XX century. The author carries out the attribution of porcelain dolls found on the territory of the Neudachiny estate, and concludes that such finds are imported and manufactured in the late XIX – early XX centuries. The preserved hallmark allowed establishing that one of the dolls was manufactured in Germany at Armand Marseill factory. In correlation of the income of different categories of residents with the cost of porcelain dolls, the author indicates that not all segments of urban population could afford such porcelain dolls. The items may also contain information on commercial ties, as well as peculiarities of the childhood of Tobolsk residents of that time.

The terminology and morphology of plates of the posterior part of the antiarch head shield (Placodermi, Antiarchi) are discussed. The terms «zatilochnaya» and «bokovaya (kraevaya) zatilochnaya» was previously accepted in antiarch skulls and are suggested for use in Russian-language literature. These terms are more correct and clearly define a position and development of these plates in the head shield of antiarchs. The titles «zagrivkovaya (nuchalnaya)» and «bokovaya zagrivkovaya (paranuchalnaya)», recently applied to them in Russian-language literature may indicate a connection in development with an anterior part of a trunk. A similar term is used for acipenserid exoskeleton. The acipenserid «nuchalnaya kost’» is located posterior to the «verchnezatilochnaya» (after Gurtovoi), and embryonically developed in an anterior part of the trunk over basidorsals and bones of the shoulder girdle. The name «pervaya spinnaya plastinka» (first dorsal scute: after Hilton and others) is also use for this bone. The term «zagrivkovaya plastinka» is used in other vertebrate skeletons, for example, in turtles; this name denotes the unpaired element of a carapace (postcranial skeleton). Using the terms «zagrivkovaya (nuchalnaya)» and «bokovaya zagrivkovaya (paranuchalnaya)» in the morphology of antiarchs and other placoderms may lead confusion in the terminology of skeletal elements at early vertebrates, incorrect conclusion of their homology, structure and development of the head shield of these unusual fishes.

Three-layer sandwich panels are widely used in insulation of walls and roofing of buildings and other various structures. At the moment building products markets are full of various types of panels by produced different manufactures but skinned with one and the same material only. Panels skinned with two different types of materials are widely used in the sphere of transport. It may be also of considerable economical effect in building engineering. The article presents an analysis of the current state of the problem of calculation of thin-walled profiles in load-bearing structures. The authors developed a program of automated calculation of three-layer panels. The program is certified in Russia. The program allows you to optimize the panel parameters according to the cost criterion. The article presents the basic calculation ideas incorporated in the algorithm of the program. The figures show the program interface. To date, the program has only one Russian language interface. The paper introduces automated methods of singleand multi-span sandwich panels trial design. Different types of materials can be used while skinning these panels. Their middle-layer shift and compliance of supporting structures are taken into account.

A method is proposed for creating artificial potting soils on the basis of modeling optimal physical properties for the growth and development of lawn grasses and flower beds in the cities of Western Siberia. The properties of soils obtained by mixing the corresponding components with the specified characteristics of the granulometric composition and the main water-mechanical properties are studied. The work is based on regression formulas that are part of the mathematical model of fertility of artificial soils. When creating a fertile layer, any local materials (clay, sand, peat) can be used as components, which reduce the cost of transportation and storage of imported raw materials. The resulting soil is capable of ensuring the long-term growth of herbs and flowers in the conditions of urban development and the severe Siberian climate.

The proposed annual bibliography continues annotated lists of the Russian-language literature on glaciology that were regularly published in the past. It includes 277 references grouped into the atmospheric ice; 4) snow cover; 5) avalanches and glacial mudflows; 6) sea ice; 7) river and lake ice; 8) icings and ground ice; 9) the glaciers and ice caps; 10) palaeoglaciology. In addition to the works of the current year, some works of earlier years are added, that, for various reasons, were not included in previous bibliographies.

The article provides a comprehensive review of the ideological and artistic content of the stories of Batyrbek Tuganov, one of the most prominent representatives of the Ossetian (Russian – language) literature of the turn of the XIX and XX centuries; their features are recorded in comparison with the texts of the corresponding genre belonging to the predecessors of Tuganov, namely, I. Kanukov and K. Khetagurov and their signifi cance in the formation of Ossetian literary bilingualism.
