Цель статьи – получить эмпирические зависимости для характеристик трехплунжерных противопожарных насосов (ТПН), необходимые для автоматизации расчетов систем тушения пожаров на судах с применением распыленной морской воды. Задачи исследования: проверка непротиворечивости данных испытаний; определение расчетных зависимостей производительности ТПН, к.п.д., затраченной мощности от давления. Проведенный анализ результатов испытаний ТПН подтвердил возможность использования предложенных зависимостей в инженерных расчетах. Данные измерений удовлетворительно согласуются с результатами расчетов, за исключением к.п.д. Отклонение экспериментальных точек от эмпирических зависимостей, скорее всего, связано с занижением значений затраченной мощности на испытаниях при небольших давлениях. Предложено для оценки к.п.д. использовать ранее полученную типовую зависимость. Построены графики для характеристик насоса NP25/41-170S. Пример расчета рабочей точки насосной установки с использованием приближенной гидравлической характеристики водяной пожарной системы судна показал высокую эффективность предложенных методик. The purpose of the article is to obtain empirical dependences for the characteristics of three-plunger fire-fighting pumps (TFP), which are necessary for automating calculations of fire extinguishing systems on ships using sprayed seawater. Research objectives: checking the consistency of test data; determining the calculated dependences of the TFP performance, efficiency, power expended on pressure. The analysis of the TFP test results confirmed the possibility of using the proposed dependencies in engineering calculations. The measurement data are in satisfactory agreement with the results of calculations, with the exception of efficiency. The deviation of experimental points from the empirical dependences is most likely due to an underestimation of the power consumed during tests at low pressures. It is proposed to use the previously obtained typical dependence to estimate the efficiency. Graphs are plotted for the characteristics of the NP25/41-170S pump. An example of calculating the working point of a pumping unit using the approximate hydraulic characteristics of the ship's water fire system showed the high efficiency of the proposed methods.

Success of workshop activities in community programs can be seen from the results of these activities which are able to improve students' skills to implement their knowledge that had been obtained previously. This program was done at SMKN 9 aimed at providing innovation and enhancing the creativity of teachers' skills in the field of microcontroller systems. Therefore the ability to understand microcontroller system requires supporting facilities such as hardware and software devices than also require a comprehensive and systematic of learning process. The alternative solution to problem is done by collaborating teileren method and project method simultaneously where learning subject is focused on the workshop material step by step before applying it. The expectation from this program is that teachers can get used to and have the ability to design microcontroller systems that can be applied as teaching materials and curriculum development. The accomplishment of this workshop can be measured by pre-test evaluation which shows value >65% and post-test results which shows an average value of  >70% with an average index of teacher capacity improvement based on final evaluation >60% compared to the previous test scores.

The paper describes the impact of adding fire extinguishing powders acting based on oxygen or flame on values of minimum ignition temperatures of the layer and cloud of pellet dust, and as a consequence the impact or lack of impact on values of maximum admissible temperature on external surfaces of electrical appliances working in their atmospheres. Tests were conducted of the minimum ignition temperature of layer and cloud of the agro armakow pellet dust and the agro jesień pellet dust, with and without additives of fire extinguishing powders BC Jet, BC LB2, ABC 90 and Ogniotex 103 at concentrations ranging from 5 to 70% by weight of powder contents in the mixture. Based on obtained test results it has been ascertained that type ABC powders appear to be much more effective than those type BC, because they have a much bigger impact on increasing the minimum ignition temperature of the layer and the cloud of analysed dust types. Adding only 15% of ABC 90 extinguishing powder to the agro jesień pellet has caused an increase in the minimum ignition temperature of dust layer by 80°C. The BC LB2 powder with agro armakow pellet dust has not been found to cause any changes, even at its concentration as high as 70%. The most optimum additive of powder to the biomass dust was 10% by weight of ABC powder in the mixture. At this concentration the highest increase was recorded in the maximum admissible temperature on the outer surface of electrical appliances from 235°C to 273°C.

In order to look into the causes of fire response and post-fire bearing capacity of the steel tubular columns protected with different materials, the fire test was conducted for a set of circular steel tubes protected with different materials such as gypsum fireproof panel, bamboo plywood and the ordinary lumber core plywood, and the steel tube without any protective material. The fire response temperature of surface of steel tubes is measured and the axial compressive bearing capacity of the specimens after fire are tested and analyzed. The test results show that gypsum fireproof panel has the best fire protection characteristics, the ordinary lumber core plywood and bamboo plywood can also retard rising of the surface temperature of the steel tubes during the initial 35min although they are combustible materials. It is found that the post-fire bearing capacity of the steel tubes protected with different materials varies evidently, and the maximum value of response temperature has the greatest effect.

The article discusses fire test results according to EN 45545-2 [1] requirements, for various material groups which were tested at Instytut Kolejnictwa (Railway Research Institute) for Polish producers. Approach to evaluation of CCS equipment and electrical equipment to meet the requirements of fire protection are characterized. Areas of requirements of the EN 45545-2 [1] standard are also presented, which are a challenge for the Polish railways, i.e. producers and research laboratories.
