The features of combustion of energy compositions based on inert and active combustible binders with ammonium nitrate in the pressure range up to 10 MPa have been determined. A comparative analysis of the effect of nanosized metal powders on the combustion process of compositions with various fillers: HMX, ammonium nitrate, CL-20 is presented. The efficiency of metal (Cu, Ni, Mo, Al, Zn) and non-metal (B) nano powders as combustion catalysts is shown.

The article discusses one of the modern areas of powder metallurgy – the technology of manufacturing shaped parts by the powder injection molding (PIM). For the powder-polymer mixture (feedstock) with a wax-polypropylene binder of the solvent-thermal type of removal by isobaric volume dilatometry, the dependence of PVT state parameters was studied. For each component of the polymer binder, the dependence of pressure on the temperature of phase transition was obtained. As a result of mathematical processing and analysis of PVT data for the feedstock of the studied type, a technological window of parameters has been determined that allows injection molding of «green parts» with minimal volume shrinkage. The results of a comparative analysis of the compaction of feedstock with a polymer binder catalytic and solution-thermal type of removal are presented.

This paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of the dielectric strength of disconnecting vacuum interrupters operating on air and helium. The breakdown voltage Ud was measured in the pressure range from 8.0 × 10−4 Pa to 3.0 × 101 Pa for air and from 8.0 × 10−4 Pa to 7.0 × 102 Pa for helium, while varying the interelectrode distance from 1.0 to 5.0 mm. Dedicated laboratory workstations were used to determine the actual pressure values in the vacuum interrupters tested and to precisely measure and record the dielectric strength results of the test object. It was found that the helium-filled vacuum interrupter maintains its full dielectric strength in significantly larger pressure ranges, while the air-filled vacuum interrupter loses its insulating properties. Thus, it is possible to make vacuum interrupters based on the working medium associated with pure helium, with larger working pressure ratings. Under such conditions, it is easier to maintain the tightness of the device and to limit cut-off currents and overvoltages associated with vacuum switchgear.

AbstractImpact-initiated energetic materials are a class of energetic materials that are formulated to release energy under highly dynamic loads. Under quasi-static or static loads, however, the materials are intended to be inert and carry a material classification of 4.1 flammable solid. In general, these materials are formed by introducing metal powders into a polymer binder but a number of binderless varieties exist (primarily pressed/sintered intermetallics and thermites). Most of the materials are sufficiently insensitive so as not to produce a self-sustaining reaction; as such, they require the mechanical work of a high-strain-rate plastic deformation process to provide the energy required to drive the reaction. Traditional initiation techniques such as exploding bridge wires or flame initiation are not sufficient to maintain a reaction in this class of materials. This paper presents a brief overview of the energy release characteristics of this class of materials, including a discussion of the material formulations, initiation phenomena, and a discussion of the manner in which the material properties affect the energy release characteristics.

The purpose of the article – to perform comparative analysis of the economic effectiveness of the 10 samples of organic fertilizer of pig farm, bio humus “Humivit” and mineral fertilizers (Nitroamofoska, ammonium nitrate, carbamide) on the example of oats. The study used the following methods: abstract-logical, cash-analytical, cash-equivalent, expert, monographic. The research was done in Ukraine. The results of the comparative analysis of economic effectiveness of the 10 samples of organic pig fertilizer, bio humus “Humivit” and mineral fertilizers (Nitroamofoska, ammonium nitrate, carbamide) in the example of oats on the green mass show that the use of organic fertilizers sample number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 is an economically effective, while organic fertilizers of sample number 7, 8, 9 are economically inefficient. By the main indicators of economic effectiveness (coefficients of payback, conditional additional profit, level of profitability) organic fertilizers sample number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 have significant competitive advantages over the studied brands of mineral fertilizers and bio humus “Humivit”. The use of organic pig fertilizers, except the sample number 8, in economic terms for the impact on potential soil fertility is more effective than bio humus “Humivit”. The most significant economic benefits for the impact on potential soil fertility are samples of organic fertilizers pig number 1, 5, 10, whose application generates the lowest cost price of humus. The element of novelty is that with using the author’s scientific and methodical approach it was conducted the estimation of economic effectiveness of the liquid organic fertilizer of pig farm for the impact on potential soil fertility.
