The purpose of this study was investigated the relationship between information education of energy attitude and energy instructional strategy of science and technology teacher in junior high schools in Taiwan. With the questionnaires and statistic analysis of 618 teachers, we found the energy attitude of teachers is positive and they made good use of energy instructional strategies. The energy safe attitude of teachers whose age are 41-50 years old were better than those below 28 years old and 29-33. The energy safe attitude of teachers who worked for 16-25 years were better than those below 5 years and 6-15 years. And the saving energy attitude of teachers who taught in school above 49 classes were better than those below 12 classes. At the same time we found the infusing question strategy and cognitive-oriented strategy of teachers whose age were 41-50 years old made better use of than those age were 29-33 years old. The energy attitude could forecast the using situation of energy instructional strategy especially in infusing question strategy, cognitive-oriented strategy and total energy instructional strategies.

A robotics instruction program is implemented for beginners to understand outlines of robotics. The aim of this program is to give students an outline of “what a robot is” together with its relations with various areas concerned and facilitate each student to produce their own robots and learn its process. This paper introduces lecture contents of “Robot Hands-On Exercise” conducted on freshmen of the Department of Advanced Robotics at Chiba Institute of Technology. This paper also includes visiting lectures with reorganized contents for a crash course provided as a part of Super Science High Schools (SSH) and Science Partnership Project (SPP), which are learning support projects by Japan Science and Technology Agency. We will summarize the findings based on questionnaire survey results and interactions with the students through those lectures.

South Korea has shifted from a relatively well-educated but poorly remunerated workforce to a highly skilled and compensated one in high-value-added industries. This paper analyzes the South Korean government’s science and technology policy and the supply of scientists and engineers in emerging industries. We note a potential shortfall of skilled talent in the near future.

Over the past thirty years progress in the technologies associated with navigation has been so rapid as to produce a change in the balance between the art of the navigator and the practice of the technologist. The Royal Institute of Navigation was founded at the beginning of this era and one of its major aims was to provide a forum for discussions between practising navigators, scientists and engineers. Therefore, it seems that a consideration of the technical changes should help the Institute to adapt, much as all our social institutions are adapting, as a result of wider changes brought about by science and technology.
